Nice video! I remember my own jumpseat ride into Gran Canaria. One of the things this video reminds me about is when the plane is mirrored in the terminal windows.
... Anyway, thank a lot for the video, it was (and is of couse) very fine, many wishis to all of you. over, claudio from italy, good bye, to hear and see from you soon.
@CharIiePresents "Retard" means to reduce the throttle to idle...and pilots still have to maintain the correct airspeed and flap level i believe so :]
@CharIiePresents They are capable of landing by them selves, but pilots mostly land the planes manually. If the visibility is close to 0, the planes HAVE to land automaticly.
Hey I got a question,Im a kid and always wanted to see the landing in the Cockpit, Do you think they allow children to sit and watch the landing? In the cockpit? It would really enjoy my flight to FLL.
Wauw! :D
But ever since 9/11, they have not allowed! How weird! Before 9/11, I asked too and they let me and I talked to the pilots and everything for about 20 minutes.
How did you've been able to stay inside the cockpit? It was a normal flight you made or you know the pilot?
I can't imagine me inside an airplane (going to holidays, for example) and ask to the cabin crew if i can go inside the cockpit to sitdown on the jumpseat and record the flight with my videocamera... :S It would be great, but i can't believe that could be true xD
@kenersej well most airlines in the us wont let people in the cockpit since 9/11 but i think other airlines in othere countries may like british airways
@pixabrava89 Yes it is possible, I've just been in the cockpit yesterday on Air Baltic 737-500. I just asked the FA, and then spoke to the captain and he said yes. I've been sitting there from pushback and engine start, and was the last person to leave the plane as well! So yes mate, you try too! just grow some balls to actually ask :p
@drpittbull Guauu, it's great! I will go to holidays this friday, and i want to ask the FA if they would allow me into the cockpit... But i know they will say me No, because the flight is to the USA, due to the strict security rules they have...
Which is exactly the question you've made to the FA?
@pixabrava89 English is not my language, so it's more difficult for me...so this is why i don't have enough balls (like you say) xD
When you came into the cockpit, the pilots said you when you was allowed to sit? Because i thing everyone of us (aviation lovers) want to be seated during take off or landings... not?
haha FSXcaptain u fucking stupid dumb ass my friend who have no contacts and what so ever in SAS he was allowed to sit jumpseat From arlanda - Skellefteå in boeing 737-700 so dont come here with the rules and regulation i promise u are 14 years old
For the first... 1. Do not film yourself, it looks gay. 2. You obviously know someone because my dad is a friend of the owner of sas and he says that no one that the pilots dont know cant come onside the cockpit after starting to taxi until parked at the gate unless the pilot knows him/her very well. So?
And by the Scandinavian Airlines Laws the pilots need to be related to the person. Also the pilots may have let him in without knowing him but they are then making the wrong thing.
SAS doesn't have an Owner. It is owned by Denmark, Sweden and Norway and the rest of the company is owned by the stockholders. If you think one man owns SAS please state his name on here. I bet you cant. Maybe you meant CEO or president of the company
@Jockguy2008 Of course its the CEO. Unless you know he is owning 7% of the stocks so with that and that he is the CEO he is the biggest owner that sas has
And let the kid bast in his glory. Geez are you jealous because he got to ride up there and you didn't? So what if he knows someone. He is just sharing his experience on here like everyone else.
@Jockguy2008 I have been sitting in there many times. I am starting my ATPL course at Sandbacka skolan in Arvidsjaur, Sweden to the summer so soon ill be there everyday and get paid for it.......
@Jockguy2008 ......The thing I just wanted to say that he is lying when he says that he was allowed in there without knowing anyone. Because as a matter of fact if he was then the pilot would have risked the life of 150 passengers plus crew. He would have been fired instantly without a warning as all pilots knows its against the rules.
@skalmanp96 Actually you are the idiot here skalmanp96 din 13åriga noob.
@FsxCaptain WOW, another flight sim "Captain/troll".. "my dad is a friend of the owner of sas..." You can't possibly think that there is one single owner of an Airline? Are you fucking retarded? The Swedish gouverment owns 25%, and Norway and Denmark also owns their piece. The rest is all share holders.. You obviously have no clue to what you're talking about so you can just keep jerkin off in your little flight sim and pretend to be a pilot which you will never be becuse you're a true retard!
@gt5004life The CEO of SAS Scandinavia which is the company with parts in both Denmark and Norway aswell as Sweden. He owns 34% of the stocks which is 9% more then the 2nd biggest owner which is the swedish government. So yes, he is seen as a owner of SAS!
@FsxCaptain Ha, let's do some maths shall we? Sweden owns 21.4%, Denmark, 14.3, Norway 14.3 aswell, FAM 7.4%, Unionen 1.8%, SEB Fonder 1.7%, Första AP Fonden 1.6%, Danish nationalbank 1.4%, Goldman Sachs Holding 1.3%, Andra AP Fonden 1.3%, Nordea Fonder 1%. Now that leaves 32.5% Left for the public, and ur telling me the CEO of SAS Group, Mats Jansson owns 34%? How is that possible? The truth is Mats Jansson doesnt own a shit of shares in SAS. Check your facts next time boy!
@FsxCaptain Wikipedia, backed up by SAS themselves and SVT ( I assume you know what that is since you're swedish? ) SVT states that the remaining 32.5 percent are all owned in small dozes by the public.
Very nice! You're fortunate to have sat up front for that experience. In the U.S., even Flight Attendant's had that privilege taken away shortly after 9/11. I was able to enjoy it twice and it was amazing!
