I feel the animation should be a lot darker and more gritty. This isnt a fru fru anime.. Make it dark, gritty, blood covered with very few 'bright' sceens or scenery. It kinda.. kills hte mood in some area's. Still Im looking forward to see if they go past the eclips and farther into the story unlike the first one.
@RenmarStriff Agreed. As much as people bash the original series art, I thought it fit the tone really well. I hope they don't overdo the cgi and brightness here.

In a sense, since it is all a flashback, I always felt it was Gutts looking back and remembering the better days. I feel the dark and gritty parts should come with the leaving of Gutts, the capture of Griffith and the Eclipse, that's when everything goes into turmoil and despair. That would be a fine point to start the gritty nature. The Golden Age, not so much in my opinion.
I'm much more concerned about the Voice Actors... as always. I'm sucker for cel-shaded animation but CG is fine as long as they have good production values.
Sooo I recognised some of the voices (well many famous VA's suck...), and they were alright. Original had better ones but these are quite fitting too.
Don't like how it looks. To me it doesn't meet the darkness standards like the hand drawn anime did...miss when anime was hand drawn looks better to me.
@MRIlls The first theme is from the game, sounds pretty fitting to me:D. second theme is... alright I guess, not mindblowing but doesn't suck you out of the immersion either.

They show the happier times (more or less) in this trailer, but in the Eclipse shit will hit the fan. I really hope they didn't make the Eclipse PG
