I'm not saying whether this exhibit was "right" or "wrong" but people are talking about animal abuse. They react to a single case of abuse, with the face of a cute dog and a villain to blame, more than the entire spectrum of abuse that goes on because it's too overwhelming.
Stop blaming this ART-- it is only a small window to the world, and the fact that no one did anything while the dog was actually present just shows how people want to be heroes about an event that's already over with.
@existentialistcat I like this comment emensely, you are part of the minority who understands the artwork, but think about this...was the art ever 'meant' to be understood...Habbacuc reveals a human flaw. An 'error' of man. Ignorance and hypocrisy...If we all understood it then the artwork literally would have no meaning and therefore be null and void...?
everyone is sayiing that he had a point...a message to raise awarness of what the ppl did n didnt do...altho if this was really a message of inhumane ppl...wouldnt you think that the artist would have saved to dogs life.???? i mean after you made your point of no one feeding the dog or trying to save its life...he just lets it die...that is just showing that he is as horrible as the ppl who didnt help the poor animal...??? dont you think the animal didnt have to die to prove whats been proven
@DougBDIT well this is the art of human selfishness, but if i was the artist id have saved the dog closed down the gallery and ill everyone:) i honestly wudnt care of the concequences
@DougBDIT I came across this video and reminded me of this video, maybe you will understand, maybe not... Killing animals is wrong and you are right for being offended, but you must understand that people saw this and were permitted to stop it from happening but never did. This is a human flaw, people are to afraid to stand over the line at times when needed..I was drunk when I wrote that comment over a year ago but it strangely stuck with me since. Sorry. /watch?v=UqudAIjPwhU&feature=related
The sad thing is, he was right. if no one fed the dog and they say that they are animal lovers then yes he's right. I can't stand that he's done this, hopefully the petition pulled through since this happend in 07. (Please tell me it did!)
@BubblesBFF1 Habacuc seems desperate to me thats all... A guy who wants to make himself famous and found that notoriety is the best way to do it...Habacuc actually did achieve something here...you are correct to a certain extent but Habacuc revealed a truth of man; that we are all murderers. We as people allow this to happen Habbacuc shows the hypocrisy of man.. Except for the minority, few would have released the dog from the leash and gave it a good home, nobody is willing to receive burden.
He was proving a point, do your research and you'll find out why he did it. and by the way he relase the dog later. Dogs die of hunger every day nobody makes a big deal about it you are all two face!!!
Now I am outraged like most people here over this but I also see that this artist did make a very disturbing point! People are hypocrites, You should also be mad at everyone who viewed the art and did nothing. You should ask yourself honestly (not knowing what you know now) would you have followed like sheep and done nothing. Have you done that in other situations? I think this artist wanted people to think about that. He's also a worthless ass for doing this of course!!!
@Jamesparker19751975 You sir I must respect, few who watch this understand the point of the art, the revealing of the hypocrisy of man. If one thousand people stood side by side behind a line and one person was on the other and said to the rest to cross the line it would be very interesting to see if anyone would join that lone person. Habacuc is that lone person(though disturbing, sick and morbid)and those watching this are the thousand strong crowd who sit comfortably in disgust from afar...
@DougBDIT I found out soon after making this comment that the artist actually just lied and didn't mistreat the dog..that they secretly fed it and it actually got loose and ran away and didn't die from starvation by them...So I respect this artist more..he found a way to make this very VERY important point without truly trying to hurt this stray..
Before you badmouth artists, you take a trip down there and do your own part to rescue one of those hundreds of stray dogs that nobody gives a shit about. He's not in the wrong for merely displaying an animal who has suffered in such a way naturally. And they way people fly off the handle and blame HIM because he calls attention to it is purely hypocrisy, if you want to bitch at someone, bitch at the people who sit on their asses in their big fucking houses and do nothing to help strays.
how my god can u take the dog on the strees and say cuz thats art your a bitch the dog will be live if you not taken for art thsi dog dont eats dont drink you let suffering you dont help him dayd you bastard WHY ARE THE WORLD SO BAD WHY I have 11
Hey does Guillermo come to your house and complain about how your couches are set up? No I think not. He doesn't post gay ass videos on how you're an asshole for using Charmin to whipe your ass while he uses Dead Dogs. Get off his back assholes.
Manter esse vídeo, é perpetuar o acto de um ser inescrupuloso. O que ele quer é exatamente que se fale dele. A pior coisa pra ele seria não ver mais nada sobre sua "maravilhosa" arte.

Well said, Swaroga. These people are dangerous morons who seem to think it's acceptable to threaten death and torture to this artist without doing any background research into the case.
@rawthreads maybe they did. These pictures all seem pretty convincing to me. Honestly, it sounds like something that would happen in the day and age that we live in!

You all use the same images ...
This dog didn't die in this gallery. We don't even have no prouve he died at all since he ran away very same day of the exposition.
Try to be more aware of rumours. Investigate befotre becoming a victime.
