I was thinking it was maybe shot an an old Arriflex S or S/B.

Ah, nah. Could've got a BL cheap but it was only standard gate, I wanted Super 16. So we rung a hire house and said we were poor students and they gave us a huge discount. Thank you Cameraquip Australia.
