This is only my second favorite movie as a kid, but it never gets old. It's so fantastic and my whole life, I wanted to see Keiko and while I never did, I feel like I did know him anyway.
these whales are beasts i would never swim with one i dont think hoenstly. especially for the first time it could bug out take me as a threat and bite my head and drag me tot he bottom and drown me. then flip around my dead corpse in the air passing it back and forth with other killer whales before eating me.
Free Willy was based on a true event. A killer whale named Keiko was taken away from his pod when he was three months/years old. When he was in a aquarium in Mexico, he outgrew it quickly and he got these growths on his fins. He was transported to other aquariums and then everyone wanted him to be free. Everyone, even students made fundraisers and collected coins and he was free. Around the late 1990s to the 2000s, he died. Think of the whales and Keiko, the living legend.
@litelmeri - The full track, aptly, is called "Friends Montage". The part starting at 2:37 is best known these days as "Love Never Dies" and may have come from an old movie called "The Apartment". Unfortunately, the stand-alone harmonica version of it is virtually impossible to find.
I'm so incredible jealous of Jason James Richter aka Jessie. I always wished I was him. Killer whales are absolutely my favourite animals. And my biggest wish is to see a killer whale. Well I've seen Morgan in Dolfinarium but I wanna see one in his real home. The sea.

OMG FREE WILLY IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME! I remember when I was little whenever I was sick I'd have my mom put Free Willy on and it would always make me feel better...I could watch this movie over and over again...Free Willy is the BEST movie in the who world and dont ever let anyone try to convince you otherwise.
@Jessica76649 me two i even had a killer whale (orca whale) toy and every time my dad put the movie in id put the toy up to the tv.and my killer had a curved top fin, well that's what i call it.
