  • the chemicals aren't even hard to get;p I have to try that one. What's the mol ratio or how many grams of each chemical do you use?

  • @1993weekniej I have a recipe in one of my vids for it

  • new way to cook

  • I think I will take small vials of this camping

  • isn't ammonium nitrate hygroscopic then it will self ignite ??

  • @skybattle2 it does after a while

  • Jesus! Clm down, its only a drop of water! Your worse than people with rabies!

  • Why Zinc, for the color? Could I use magnalium instead?

  • That has to be the best flame color ever.

  • Nice done! That was a really interesting reaction!

But I have one question, how much ammonium nitrate, ammonium chloride and zinc did you use?

  • how can your burn so long time?

  • very cool

  • this also works with salt

  • looks dangerous

  • hi i made this solution with 15 grams of ammonium nitrate and 30 grams of zinc dust and it worked but the difference is that now is more stable because before i made the original solution and it was starting without water it was very sensitive even to humitidy!!! try tis and tell me. thanks!!!

  • where can i get zinc ? plz

  • most likely, online

  • in batteries, when you remove the shield, there is zinc metal.. file it or sandpaper it to get zinc powder... (: btw does anybody know where i can get ammonium chloride?!

  • I believe it is used in soldering, and can be found in blocks at Hardware Stores.

  • ammonium chloride?

  • Yep.

  • found out what ammonium chloride is now :S it has been sitting right in my face all the time q: you neutralize a mixture of hcl and nh4oh :D i have some of that neutralized liquid... the solid tastes good ^^ im able to make this stuff (:

  • @antiswattt2: hahaha yes, that works too. I'm not sure how financially prudent it would be though to invest in gallons of hydrochloric and ammonia just to make ammonium chloride.

Seems more reasonable to buy it either as flux for soldering at Home Depot/Lowe's/any Hardware Store or on eBay.

  • pff... you can buy a half liter of ammonia (25%) and HCl (30%) in denmark.. its easy..

  • you get pure zinc from a heavy duty or super heavy duty battery (the shell is zink)

  • i bought some at a hardware store i think its called.. its a place where you buy stuff like screws and hammers and such i bought as a zinc gutter part, and i also found out that in AA batteries the shell under the shield is zinc

  • i found out that its in ''zinc-carbon'' batteries (look at them to find the letter ''R6P''

  • ordinary table salt

  • sodium chloride works well

  • not nearly as hot.

  • well, ive never tested it so I cant be sure, seems like it would though.

  • Very good. I love the flame color.

  • where do u get that stuff pleas ket me know in a message
