They are mostly dark haired people unlike the Angles or Nordic Germans. Goebbels may have come from that region, hence the more southern look. Hence they had info. about the Holocaust during the War, although they lost the ability thru much of 1942 as the Nazis changed their Enigma settings. The British did intercept a message about the "Hoefle telegram" and the progress of the Holocaust, but the message was not understood and filed away.

@kdgrayson1 Germany, an area no bigger than Oregon and Washington state combined, had been fighting for 8 years..... kicking our asses before we decided to get serious and launch D- DAY on June 6, 1944, with the help of the allies.
Germany had better trained soldiers and better equipment (the US Sherman tank was no match for the German Panzer tank).....and still they lost, mainly because of lack of resources. After 10 years of fighting, they had run out of resources.

The question remains, what do you do with all the prisoners?
You can not feed them....for there is not enough food.
If you let them go they will only to return to kill you.
Also, sick prisoners, with contagious diseases had to be removed to protect other prisoners and staff
from becoming sick.
The only solution for a prisoner with typhus was a quick death. This was to minimize death
