  • How do you handle so much power! Makes F! drivers look slow - whoohoooo! ;)

  • my car cost me £600 so even with the money i spend on fuel my car will work out cheaper then any EV and be a nicer car to drive.

  • @smugtugboat

Is it eco-frendly? I guess not...

  • this car is good for elders

  • Bad logic and gay

  • Now all they need to do is:

    1. Make it look good

    2. Make it faster + higher top speed

    3. Give it a decent range

    4. Make sure it doesn't kill the occupants in a slow speed crash

  • @j101saar Now all they need to do is:

    1. Buy a proper car

    2. The same as the first

  • 0-20 in ten seconds!

    failure.

  • @richardmaudsley77 my radio controled car could go from 0-30 faster and thats electric too

  • your way of culculating isnt right. the fact it takes 21 secs to go to 31, doesnt mean that it will do 62 in 42 secs.

a ferari that does 0-60 in 3.9 seconds takes like 13 seconds to hit 120.

  • k the prob here is, i think this was a joke, no need to analyze so seriously.

  • I know that, just saying :)

  • lol

  • 62 km/h!

  • I dont know if you know that it takes more to go from 30-60 than it does from 0-30

  • what is with all the offensive comments? i dont understand, isn't the video meant to be a joke? not much point talking all facts and figures, of course just about everything is faster, and of course it cannot do 62mph, you don't need to bring in the laws of physics to be able to work that one out. Just a load of creeps with no friends sitting at home in their pants commenting other people's videos critically for no real purpose. Anyway, great video :)

  • ha ha this is 62 KM/h not 62miles!!!!!

  • Whats funny is that i can beat that in a 1978 5.7 olds diesel pickup. And it gets 30 MPG

  • Sorry mate, I don't own an electric car, but judging by that rate of acceleration, and the shape of g-wiz, an educated guess would say 70-75 second to hit 45mph and then probably stay there unless you go downhill. Ask anyone who gets their hand dirty with motor oil *smirk* and they'll say the same ;) Oh, for the record I like electric car though, if it's cheaper...

  • if you want an electric car, buy a tesla!

and all of you eco mentalists that think your saving the world by driving a g-wiz... where do you think the electricity comes from?

thats right a nuclear/coal/natural gas powerplant, so it does just as much harm as a petrol car, for £9000 you could get a nice fiat or something that doesnt look like a piece of shite!

  • @revega , Umm no, the emissions byproducts at the power plant to create the power for an electric car is localized, allowing larger reductions in pollution when modifications to the plant are made to reduce pollution. Furthermore, no more oil from the middle east! Furthermore, if your electric company has a 'green' option, sign up for it!

  • mabey so,

    but it is personal preferance,

would you have a car that looks like that?

i think id rather have a 2cV (i hate french cars) than that.

    its not practical,

you cant take it on motorways or dual carriage ways...

    it looks disgusting,

    takes forever to charge,

    need i list more reasons?

  • @Revega, yes I agree. I would never buy that car either! Slow and ugly! I'm just saying there are attractive and more functonal options out there. A lot of options out there to recharge an electric car's battery within an hour via a clothes dryer plug.

  • If my math is correct it would do 0-62 in about 1:07 (if it was the top-speed of the car)

  • Your such a retard.

Air resistance works to square laws by all intense and purposes. So you cant just double the time.

    Shit car, shit idea, idiot.

  • If you're getting pumped over 0-30mph in 21 seconds, a Daewoo matiz with a three cylinder 800cc can do twice the speed in the same time

  • No its 0-60mph in 21 seconds on an uphill road and low lever battery!!!! :)

  • did you even watch the video?

  • I can run faster lol

  • It runs so slow because battery is low.when it's charge level is on green ( 48 volts ) it goes much faster.why this test is on low battery mode? :-D you can try to do a test with full charge battery so we can see how much time it takes to reach 40mph (65-70kmh).it does't take 75sec to maximum speed.remember thas is a 13kw car with 52Nm so It can't go faster as a ferrari :-D it's like the old fiat 500 ;-)

  • just like simonh102 said doubling the 0-30 time wont give a 0-60 time. Air resistance increases with square of velocity so to go twice as fast you need four times the force(because it must be delivered at twice the rate you need eight times the power)so 0-60 will be more than twice 0-30.

  • Why do people who drive electrics not understand why I drive an S500 - well a clue is that they do a 0-30 and double it to get a 0-60 that really shows someone who knows their stuff and is a keen driver. If you have such little passion for motoring just take a bus or a train? its irresponsible and selfish to use a personal form of transport that is so crap, its just as bad as me driving a gaz guzzler - although I thoroughly enjoy it and its a world class piece of engineering unlike yours

  • Many thanks for your entry to our green film competition.

  • This car is a great entry in to ev for most people and don't forget the average speed across London is 15mph. Little cars like this one bring evs to the masses which is a good thing. Nice video well done.

It must be doing something right as there is a waiting list for them.

    Knoxie

  • idk why i mean if you get into a crash, you will surely be killed. you did see what happened when it crashed into a table, right?

  • there are ev's that go 0-60 in 3.5 seconds

  • some world record cars do in less than a second lol

  • the Tesla Roadster would destroy that car. 0-60 in 4 seconds on an all electric engine.

  • that is fast my citroen ax is 0 - 60 1min 14sec

  • Is any one else scared that we cant see where we're going????

  • hey, retard. stop being a pussy with your electric cahhhh. drive a gas powered beast like the rest of us. terrorist, the day i see an electric car beat a porsche i the day i dress in drag and walk into a biker bar. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. douches....

  • looks like that day has come for u. search for the wrigthspeed x1 vs porsche gt. have fun in the bar. lol

  • Id rather be in a slow electric car than in a slow diesel or gas machine. I wish fast electrics could be used in sport auto racing.

  • As much as I like fast cars, I'd much rather be in a slow electric than a fast gas machine. But it just so happens that electrics can be made to be very fast.

    See the following:

    www.peakoil.com/fortopic8987.html

    www.plasmaboyracing.com

    www.nedra.com

    www.teslamotors.com

I'm building my own electric car. According to simulation, it will be able to accelerate quicker than a Porsche Boxter, 0-60 mph ~5.5 seconds and top speed ~140 mph. I'll wait and see how it really turns out though.

  • That's slow!

Want speed? Gut the original drive system, put in a 120-156V, ~700 pound pack of AGM batteries(Optima, Hawker Genesis, ect.), Netgain 8" series DC motor, and a Zilla 1k controller. That thing would hit 80+ mph and do 0-60 mph in ~8 seconds, and have no problem burning rubber. Could be done for around $6,000-8,000USD.

Of course, whether or not it would be stable past 40-ish mph is unknown.

Also, you're probably satisfied with it as is, and doing that would void your warranty.

  • 0-30 mph in 21 seconds. Not bad. I wonder if it can go uphill at a practical speed.
