  • Am i the only one that thought that that was William Shatner?

  • I feel proud to play the ukelele

  • 3sat!!!!

  • BOOM- REAL MUSIC

  • look at that guy on the right with the huge ukulele

  • @Dekcc it's an acoustic bass guitar, but they do call it a bass ukulele, as a joke.

  • just love the hotel california version here *.*

  • @bwdbwd Love it! I have a few uke songs I wrote on my page.

  • this is so awesome that it cracks me up how amazing it is, absolutley brilliant

  • Mannnnn !!!!!!!

    Awesome !!!!!

This gonna be my Favorite ever

  • These guys are fantastic, not easy to sing your song with four others singing theirs at the same time...ABSOLUTELY AWESOME :)

  • Awesome...

  • super !! réussir à faire de l'anarchie une harmonie originale et fun....ça me rappelle quelque chose...

  • "Warm smell of fajitas" is brilliant. I'm hungry now for some reason.

  • Is the opening, 0:01 to 0:15, part of "fly me to the moon" or is it a different song?

  • @andy4an no, it's a piece by Handel.

He was playing the same piece all throughout the performance, and they were demonstrating that all those different modern songs can be sungs along to the same classical piece. That's why he ended by saying "George Frederich Handel, ladies and gentlemen".

  • @athull08 *sung along

  • @athull08 please, which song is it by handel?

it is the best quod libet i ever saw!

  • @erimax1994 I believe it's a slight alteration of Harpsichord Suite, 6th movement.

    Here's a video of it:

    /watch?v=KV1uXsWdJHk

  • @erimax1994 There is no "song" by Handel, he wrote classical music. The underlying chord progression to each of these songs is related to Handel's music. The UOGB like to play songs that share a chord progression, and create a brilliant medley, like this. Much of today's pop music derives from music theory developed in the classical periods: Baroque, Classical and Romantic.

  • i love these people so much.

  • Fun...lol

  • can anyone tell me where i can learn how to play the solo the guy was playing on the uke during the begining of the video????

  • @MONGOOSES2000 he wasn't just playing it at the beginning, he was playing it all throughout. It's the 6th movement of Handel's Harpsichord in G-Minor.

The point being that all those songs they sang in the video have the same chord progression as the Handel piece.

  • Woah. Wow. Wha..?

    ...wonderful <3

  • lol the Love Story guy missed his cue but it didnt matter

  • @SuperTinkerDan that was staged. They always do things like that.

  • Wer gackert da ständig im Publikum? Nervt wie Sau.

  • I mean career.

  • I've never thought that ukulele can be a carrer. I want to join this orchestra too. i want to be one of them travelling over the world and playing uke and singing to people.

  • These people are great !! Absolutely loved it.Thanks for posting.,

  • I love how they were playing just the same tune on the ukelele and AHH! This was the greatest thing I have seen and I ccouldn't stop watching it.

  • The Magic "Am-Dm-G-C-F-Dm-E"!

  • How could anyone dislike this? These people are fantastic!

  • 35 ppl haven't sense of humor and are deaf! (or retarded)

  • OMG, that's awesome!!! I like the choir

  • anybody know what handel song that he played?

  • @iPriestHolmes it's a rearrangement, rather than an exact copy, of Harpsichord Suite in G minor, 6th movement.

  • Sadly I can press only one like at a time. Wanna give you guys zillion likes if possible!

  • Sometimes it comes to my mind that the dislikes on some videos are just automatic done by youtube ....

  • ayos!

  • nice!!

  • das lied ist toll

  • This is going to my iPod!

  • what chords are these for the ukulele?

  • @privatesmallz042

I'm nowhere near my ukulele at the moment but if it's the same progression as Cat Stevens' 'Wild World' then it's Am - Dm - G - C - F - Dm - E. Could be mistaken though.

  • Großartig !!

  • Awesome!

  • like this if you sing along with 'Hotel Calafornia'

    /watch?v=nW0ACEOEq6w

  • @athull08 I have actually. Would like to hear more of him though.

  • OMG! unbelievable

  • Fantastic guys

  • 32 people tried this an failed epically

  • I never knew that those songs would fit so well together... :D

  • Absolutely fan-fricken-tastic. I haven't seen or heard this type of song overlay since (I think it was Ella on the Ed Sullivan Show) a million years ago. Great job . Thanks.

  • The third guy to sing looks like william shatner

  • @WilliamPatrickMusic Almost every member (including the 2 absent from this concert) are said to look or sound like someone!

  • Their version of The Good the Bad and the Ugly is better!

  • "Warm smell of -- fajitas" HAHAAHAHA!

    I love these guys! :D

  • สุดตรีน โอ๊ะ ขออภัย สุดยอดมากครับ

  • @godlaw123 Not that often really.

  • IT'S CRAZY!!! I LOVE IT!!!

  • This so difficult to do. I have not idea how they can tune out the others and maintain their own tune. Must of taken practice and practice. Probably the most difficult number to master. Very well done.

  • Love love love.

  • das ist mittelmäßig schlechte musik, nicht mehr ! und nichts Besonderes !

  • @mikemiller368 da hat aber einer ahnung...

  • @tomspin42 what don't you get?

  • William Shatner?? awesome!

  • preprepreprejebeno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You could be kurt cobain and be one pissed off mother fucker and still have a smile on you're face at the end of this video.

  • Incredible.

  • @ConsoleApostate

    I think it's a rearrangement of Harpsichord in G minor, 6th movement.

Someone else said that, on another video. I've listened to the original Handel piece and I think they're right.

  • Is the language around 3:50 french?

  • @RSPenguinzRock I think you'll find it's German

  • @RSPenguinzRock i think it's german, i've been wrong before though.

  • @danwoodier it IS German

  • @athull08 I though right.

  • @danwoodier It's because this concert was in Germany.

In fact, when they do Orange Blossom Special (also on youtube), there's a line in the second verse that they always adapt depending on where they are. In this case, they replaced the lyrics 'Florida' and 'California' with 'Charlottenburg' and 'The University of Heidelburg'.

  • OMG look at 3:00 - this is so f******g difficult! This is awsome! This mastery!

  • 29 ppl need to get a life man chill the fuck out if u dont find this funny then u aint got a life

  • uhhhhh tabs?

  • its so hard to sing another song when some other song is being sung

    nice work

  • wow! it is amazing! i love these songs.. :*

  • The dude who plays bass-ukulele has an incredible voice.

  • @syratrippen Have you heard him sing Life on Mars by David Bowie?

If not, you must. It's here: watch?v=nW0ACEOEq6w

    p.s. It's a bass guitar, not a ukulele.

  • @athull08 I wager it's a bass ukulele

  • @jedimastert0810 It is definitely not. The group have even said themselves it's a normal bass guitar. A real bass uke is much smaller.

  • @athull08: Jonty Banks (Hotel California singer) in an interview in November 2007 "...a guitar has six strings, Saiten, whereas this instrument has four strings, the same number as the ukuleles my colleagues are playing, so therefore this is a bass ukulele. It is the future..." - in other words NOT a bass guitar.

  • @TheCardinalFang Sorry to rain on your parade, but he was JOKING.

I know ukuleles have 4 strings, but so do bass guitars.

What they did was, they took a bass guitar, and because it has the same number of strings as a uke, they jokingly called it a bass ukulele. But they also discretely admit that it's really a bass guitar.

Real bass and baritone ukuleles do exist, but they're much smaller.

The group only call Jonty's instrument a bass ukulele with inverted commas.

  • last guy is best ^^

  • @schussus you mean the one singing Hotel California?

  • @athull08 no the one who does not sing at the end who talks to the people

  • @schussus Oh right. George Hinchliffe. He's kind of the 'frontman', yes.

Of ocurse, usually they all play their ukes, but he usually plays lead uke.

  • third dude looks like bill shatner

  • talented !!!

  • great !! like this funny live concert

  • I really love those songs they play :)

  • How is it possible for 29 people to dislike this

  • absolutely lovely songs!

  • I love these songs.. :)

  • Has anyone by any chance tabbed out the beginning?

  • This is like the elegant version of the Four Chord Song.

  • @BrianBinOR except three of the songs are played with 7-9 chords

  • this is fuckin amazing!!!!!!!

  • Imagine the royalties they must pay to do this one song?!

  • @deezynar haha. Great song, amazing how they make it work.

  • hey come check a rap track featured on my page using ukulele in the hardest way ever!

    peace!

  • SUPERB!!! THEY SING SO BEAUTIFULLY!! LOVE THEM SO MUCH, WISH I COULD BE IN BRITIAN TO SEE THEM

  • LOL it's so funny how it begin to seem cool to drink of a bottle while you don't play when performing! :D Like 3:46 "o_O his drinking water because he don't play! Awesome! We gotta point the camera at him! Watch him drink!" XD

  • lol I think the man at 0:06 looking to his left side looks like Louis Walsh from X-Factor :D go to 0:05 to see it

  • i just love it this is sooooooooo britain :D

  • Haha! A bunch of British people, playing Portugese instrument, imported from Hawaii, singing American songs, being watched by a guy from Slovenia... I belive thats called globalisation :))

  • @JostOtrin - Excellent summary ;-)

  • @JostOtrin And playing the concert in Germany!

  • And the best thing: They all really know how to sing.

  • Fuck you Jolly Rogers, get your own classic music.

  • What is the name of the Händel peace??

  • Parents going to Hawaii means get an ukulele!! YES! IDC if i can't play it well it just sounds soo good.

  • I absolutely LOVE it!

  • The most creative montage I've ever heard. The Ukes are more than a 7-tet. They're a reflection of profound and creative cynicism. I hope their love (career) is endu
