ok rick, do ya think I might be upset because of how I've been treated in the last 5 years? I don't confront any one. I just don't let people treat me like a jerk. By the way my 11 year old daughter was struck by a vehicle blowing the stop sign just 4 months ago. she suffered a broken arm badly bruised leg. We took no legal action because the driver of the veh. lives in the neighbor hood and was very sorry please read all my posted statements on facebook. have a nice day

@ottoripp1103 Otto you shouldnt get so defensive, people are entitled to an opinion contrary to your own. Some people think differently and that is just the way it is. Are you that paranoid that you think the town is out to get you? these are simple property maintenance codes, just comply with what the inspector is telling you to do and the issue is over. I find it hard to believe that you as a former police officer have so much disregard for local law.

You obviously believe you are always right...the video proves this because you yelled at some lady that you beleive blew through a stop sign (lets not forget you are a FORMER police officer). @ottoripp1103 I read it all and watched the video, it didnt change my opinion! you were so involved in trying to get the Inspector to do the wrong thing so you could catch him on video that you werent paying attention to the stop sign. You THOUGHT that car blew the stop sign and you reacted without solidly knowing for sure because you heard the car accelerating. If our children were present at the time or crossing the street than I believe your reaction would have been warranted.

@ottoripp1103 First, I don't know the code by heart. And i'm not going to look it up for you. But most are aware that you can't park you boat (or any other vehicle) on your lawn b/c it's unsightly and they don't want fluids leaking into the ground.

Second, taping a guy and then demonizing him on the internet is far from "polite".

Third, I just looked at your house on google earth - You have a boat AND an RV parked on the grass in your side yard!?!?! No wonder your neighbors complain!

If you don't see some one ordering you to move things to come into complaince with only his verbal orders, you've got a problem. why is he trying so hard to get me to move my stuff? his job is to issue a summon's if called for not to respond repeatedly to your residence to assure you followed his orders, which he has no auhtority to issue to begin with. ask your self why didn't he just give me the summons? Its what I would of done if he wasn't sure why not call a supervisor?

He wants you to move your stuff because it's in violation of the law. That's his job. They try not to give people summons, they just want you to be compliance. If they guy just showed up at your door with a bunch of summonses for court appearances and fines then I think that would be abusive. Explaining you need to do in order to get in compliance without writing you a ticket?...that just seems like a decent thing to do.  Just my 2c, obviously you're not going to agree.

Second of all I'm not going to argue the validity of the summons that may or may not be issued here. Thats what the courts are for. how do you know whats in violation of town codes? i mentioned the exact code he quotes. didf you look it up?

First off, I never condoned any actions by anyone other than in this video you posted. You obviously have a problem with neighbors - I'm sorry that's the case, but this guy has nothing to do with your personal disputes with your neighbors. He's just doing his job (and trying to help you out while he's at it) and you're taking your frustration out on him, and then posting video of him on the internet trying to demonize him. Just seems really lame on your part, that's all.

@ottoripp1103 Seems to me his job is to see if you're in compliance with code. If he thinks you're not he can either write you a summons and go to court, or he can explain how to remedy it, you can rectify it, and then you avoid a ticket. Seems to me that's exactly what he did. Maybe there's more, but from what you've posted it seems like you're in the wrong. Seems pretty simple, which is why I suspect all the other comments so far have been from what you term "haters". In pequa I know you can't have a boat on an unpaved surface. You mention "paved surface" in the video. I assumed that's what it's about. Doesn't matter. I don't know the issue, and that's not the point. The point is you acted like an arrogant child because you're angry. If you disagree about the issue, then just ask the guy to write you out a summons and go to court. Don't complain to him that he's only giving you verbal warnings and not writing you a ticket. The town has received no other complaints ecxept these malicious ones. how can you make a an assumption like that? when and if he issues any summon's I will respnd accordingly. You really come of like a jerk in this video, at least from the outside looking in. Best I can tell from looking at your facebook page is:

1 - rightly or wrongly your neighbors have a problem with you or your property

2 - the town has probably received scores of complaints about your property

3 - when the town receives complaints, they send out a code inspector to check it out

4 - Looks like the code inspector WAS trying to help you out by not writing a summons (which is a hassle to deal with)

Instead of issuing you a summons on the spot for your violations, sounds to me like he's been trying to help you get in compliance an avoid you (and probably him) the hassle of going to court and all the assoc fees. Don't see anything wrong with that. If you just wanted to go to court to fight the town you should have just told him to write you the summons.

Sounds like you have a problem with the town code and the neighbors, and you're taking it out on a guy who's just trying to do his job.

He has no authority to issue verbal commands and certainly is not auhtorized to return to your residence after issueing a notice of violation, but before the return date on it for the purpose of harrasing you.
