And if the majority, or even ONE of the tests, indicates that the rock is <6000 years old, they might have a case.

I am in agreement with Carly...this is religion pure and simple and as long as it stays out of the science classroom I am OK with it. Fortunately, the Supreme Court agrees. I live 10 minutes away from the place and have hunted 450 million year old fossils nearby. Ironic isn't it.

They are going to be laughed at, if creation ever gets taught in any public school in Alberta, I will vote liberal in the next election for the first time in my life. I just don't see that happening though. I hope I don't eat crow, there is probably one I don't know about.

Don't you mean the "tree" of knowledge. If you are, or were, a christian you know the first sin was disobedience related to the acquisition of knowledge. From the beginning, the god christians believe in always tried to prevent humans from knowing anything. He equated knowledge with being "as gods" (note the plural and compare with a bible). Modern christians are merely holding up the tradition of desirable ignorance.

The scientific community should open an evolution museum next door and display the evidence THEY don't want you too see so that people can decide for themselves. I'm actually glad these museums are opening because the controversy will be tremendous and the world can see just how far out of hand this bullshit is getting.

Actually, the Royal Tyrell Museum (quite possibly the single greatest paleontological institution in the entire world) is about 60 km south of Big Valley in Drumheller Aberta, so you really can do just that!
