• Cant handle anything that questions your belief system. I cant see what the big deal is so what.

  • Poor American continent, slowly moving itself back to the Middle Ages (scientifically).

I'm glad people in Europe are not that dumb.

  • @ffeldesign

You're right and wrong. It's not sliding scientifically, its socially. The American culture is sliding back into the medieval era... and they're dragging Canada with them..

  • Despite the hardest effort to falsify the Theory of Evolution, Not a single piece of contridictory evidence has ever been found. Instead, the new fields of molecular biology and so on provide understanding to the complex process of how we change over time! It is so interesting and exciting! Yeah for Anthropology!!!!!!!!!!

  • Atheists are radicals and and there is thankfully very few of them. What these crazy, murdering atheists don't understand is that scientists also thought the earth was flat and the sun revolved around the earth, they are the ones who theorized it, so it doesen't make ascientists anymore knowing of God's non-existence than christian's knowledge that there is a God. Relax, atheists only make about 7% of the world. They are nuts.

  • Do you know how many religious people kill? Many. Hitler was a Catholic, and Bush is a Christian. Scientists didn't tell people the world was flat you dumbass. Galileo tried telling the church that the world revolved around the Sun but NOO they didn't believe him and tried to shut him up. You obviously don't know what you are speaking about. Religious zealots are nuts and so are you.

  • Hitler was not a catholic and Bush can never be called a true Christian. Hell, I can call myself a Christian right now and commit a massacre. Are you still going to blame the religion? Hitlers ideology 'Nazism' was in fact derived from 'Social Darwinism' which is no shittingly a scientific theory. Science has indeed no sympathy for the human being as opposed to religion, there are just a few individuals who wreck it for the rest of us. I suggest you think this through :)

  • I'm not blaming the religion. I'm merely trying to point out that being religious doesn't make you right and not not believing doesn't make you wrong. If you read to what I responded to, you would understand.

  • dude, your argument is so off the mark... message me and I'll tear your argument apart. you won't win. not enough space here.

  • Anti-semitism in Germany had more to do with Martin Luther than with science. Luther was and still is greatly admired in Germany, and unfortunately Martin Luther was a huge anti-semite. He even wrote a work called "the Jews and their Lies" which advocates some really awful things; it reads like Nazi propaganda.

Hitler was in fact a Christian, and believed he was doing God's work. The SS wore rings reading "Gott mit uns" (God with us).

  • @p0wnyman

Social darwinism is not a scientific theory. It's something called pseudo-science... kinda like faith healing. Whether or not someone is a 'true' christian is all subjective... and that's kinda the point, isn't it?

  • Your 26 years old. When are you going to grow out of your little childhood fantasy.

  • Actually everyone just assumed the Earth was flat, it was not theorized by anyone. Infact back in Ancient Greece a scientist prooved the earth was sherical and also calculated its size. But I have to fly, I have to go murder some people seeing has how because I don't believe in creationism I must be a murderer.

  • @LeChienNoir88

All aboard the lolicopter! maybe we can find the flying spaghetti monster and sodomize it! cause we're atheists!

  • It must feel crappy knowing the world considers you part of a willingly ignorant minority. It plays a part in their hatefulness, thinking they evolved from slime. How can you think much of yourself of anyone else believing that crap. That's so sad. I mean, with the largest library in the world on their PC screen, and they still refuse all of what science says about how the world is so obviously designed and Dawrin's 150+ yr old idea didn't hold up to modern science. It's all so sick and sad.

  • NOVA science show "Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial" will premiere Tuesday, November 13 at 8PM ET/PT on most PBS stations.

  • yes it does.

  • creationism sucks.

  • creationism sucks.

  • Go back to Canada you dumb commie!

  • Jesus cries when you don't worship him.

  • lol i need to go to one of these creationist museums

  • I have made up my mind. God created science.

  • When you have been there, then tell me what you think. Else you got nothing to say. Just blind nonsense.

  • YECs believe that the entire universe was created after the domestication of the dog. Think about that.

  • goddamn it, this shit makes me want to vomit.

  • The truth IS stranger than fiction. The races were created at Babylon by God himself. He introduced genetic variety into humans at that point. Hey, did you know that the Chinese language, 4500 yrs old, is made of pictographs which give many accounts of the Book of Genesis built right into the very language? ...including the flood, Babylon, satan in the garden, etc. Interesting eh? What do you suppose the ancient Chinese knew that you don't? I'd say, a lot.

  • crackpot creationist alert!

  • Your fiction is strange to say the least. How is it the Chinese with a history written in their language that goes back PRIOR to the flood still exists? And despite your claim they do not report on the global flood. Of course as soon as you believe the dinosaur bit no amount of logic will sway you.

  • NephilimFree if thats true then were did all the races come from? There were just middleasterns on the ark right? Learn some science and mabeye you will get more that 4 subscribers.

  • So they told us about how man was made from dirt and about the big boat with the animals in it and how the earth was all covered with water. Now THAT'S TRUTH!

Nobody could make up that sh...t!

  • I watched a native indian commedian on TV who said,

"When the white man came, we told him our stories about how the earth began but they told us our stories were childish and they would tell us the truth.

  • here is another quote from the Alberta museum's founder "Evolution is not a science. Please, please do not call it a science."

  • Anopther dork evo who thinks creationst SCIENTISTS use cereal box science. Hey kid, did you know that the mutation rate of the human genome gives an age for humans at only 6,000 years? No, you didn't. You get your infor from the dimwits who hide their eyes from science that proves the creation and scream, "No no no!" lol

  • As an anthropologist I have to report your claim about the rate of human genetic mutation is blatantly false. You creationists do not use cereal box science you simply do not use science.

  • Ahhh! Another vid from the confused geologist student who thinks a crevass in the earth cannot be created by incredible torrents of water. Hmmm.

  • Obviously. Because we all know how people trained in a specialized field and who know exactly what they're talking about have no credentials to compare to some guy who read a book made thousands of years ago by people who thought the world was flat and that the sun revolved around the earth. No siree.

  • In any case though, I should have a webcam by the time I'm up in Calgary this summer - so if I can convince someone to go on a road trip and swing by the museum, I'll report what I see on YT. Hopefully they'll let me take pictures of the exhibits too, so everyone can sit at their computer and have a good gut laugh.

Being in the heart of the Canadian Bible Belt, I'm surprised they didn't do this closer to here (SW Saskabush).

  • What one of those creation "scientists" should do, though - since they're close to Drumheller, in the Badlands and everything - is the next time a fossil is found there, do supervised radioactive dating tests on rock samples from all around the fossil - above, below and on all 4 sides - and for several different metals. And if the majority, or even ONE of the tests, indicates that the rock is <6000 years old, they might have a case.

  • The guy you quoted from the newspaper - when he says that evolution and creation are on a level playing field intellectually, if he's talking about the Universe (Big Bang vs. creation by a supernatural being or entity), I think he's right, or atleast closer to being right. If he's talking about evolution vs. creation of life on Earth... ha! They're not even fucking close.

  • whoa, i figured creationists were primarily undereducated people from the southern states. but now they're in Canada!?

    now it's personal.

  • We have a museum like that here in Canada?!?!? Oh fuck!

  • If I had a dollar for every falsehood contained in that "museum" video, I could afford my own overpriced church calling itself a museum too.

  • Fuck, they're opening something like that almost down the street. Thanks for the heads up. I guess they are trying to make people in Canada look bad too. Strange, in the video I thought I saw these debunked things: Misquoting Darwin, complexity of the flagelum, the Ernst Haeckel ebryo argument, and debunked footprints. You would think they would learn that those arguments are baseless and completely false.

  • They're creationists. YOu're talking about people who used the dust on the moon argument for decades when the argument was debunked before we even made it to the moon. What do you expect? It's people who based their jobs on the denial of evidence.

  • It would be nice if they could be enjoined from using the word "scientific" unless they could prove a scientific method. Sadly words mean different things to different people. For instance, what they call "creation" I would call magic. It wasn't log ago that people like David Blaine were believed to be true magicians. At last we know they are showmen. I'm afraid it will take longer before the religios are exposed.

  • No gov't will address it unless enough people demand they do so. At "our" museums ribbon cutting ceremony, Judge Exe. Gry Moore was there in full support. He is also the same ELECTED Judeg Exe. tht for many years has acted the part of Jesus, and has hung on the cross! Smart guy! (sigh)

  • Wow, I'm really glad that I don't have to put up with THAT kind of crap.

  • I agree but unfortunately they can call it whatever they want to. Even if they have no science to speak of, who's going to call them on it? The government? The Alberta government has always been quite conservative, and the vast majority of Albertans are Christian. I'd be surprised if no government officials show up for the opening celebrations. *sigh*

  • Shit! Those monstrosities seem to be poping up all over the place! Sick, just sick.

  • Ok, 3 comments. :)) Be very careful as to what language you choose. You said,"who are trying to suppress the freedom of these people to speak their convictions." Nothing we did, or do, aims to "suppress" their freedom to speak their convictions. I have never protested a church! It's when they labeled this as credible science that I feel it necessary to let our legislatures know there are people who plan to work to uphold the Constitution of the US.

  • *Uproarious applause* WOOT!!! RIGHT ON!

  • As stated in our "disclaimer", we recognize AiG's right to build a theme park, and call it a museum if they would like, we oppose the fact that they label this as science. Might want to have a look at Dr. Lawrence Krauss and what he had to say at our rally. Personally, I feel it's necessary for people to state opposition, or we could end up like Kansas! Luckily people remembered this little thing called Seperation of Church and State, and we have put Kansas back in the 21st century.

  • 2 messages here. Didn't realize there was a 500 character limit! ;) I'm all for free speech. Without free speech, we would not have been able to rally this museum of mythology. For one example, as much as I disagree and DO NOT support the KKK, I support their right to free speech, as I would anyone. If Ken Ham had not declared this a "scientific learning" institution for children and adults, I would be much less offended by this.

  • Holy crap. These museums make me sick. Taking fossil evidence away from proper scientists. And I hate the "not trying to force anyone, make up your own mind" shit, subtly implying that normal museums are forcing facts on you. However I love that in the end their defence comes down to the false statement of "Look they're just as bad as us!"

  • Brett Keane is a stalinist. He blocked me from making comments on his videos just because I didn't agree with him.

  • Well, that point is moot now. Brett has been banned. Damn shame, too, whether you like him or not. And he blocked you from his channel, not from YouTube. He has fought for the rights of others to express themselves freely on YouTube without being banned for it. And using labels like "stalinist" isn't a good idea, unless you have some evidence beyond your own opinion.

  • It's like a knife turning in your gut. It is really unbelievable that this kind of crap can be showcased as science. Well, if ever I have kids, it will be a good place to set up lawn chairs and eat pop corn while watching slack jawed, slope-browed idiots enter a place that they think exudes intelligence--good for a chuckle.

  • Get busy, and let your elected officials know you do not plan to stand silently while this undermines scientific FACTS! We held our rally today, the opening day of the Creation Museum here in Ky, about 5 minutes from MY HOME! Lucky me!! :)

  • you don't like free speech?

  • When did I say that?

  • i'm not replying to you friendofdarwin... but to Carly859 and to many others like him who are trying to suppress the freedom of these people to speak their convictions.

  • My apologies, I was looking at the comment section in non-chronological order, and thought you were refering to me.

  • I am in agreement with Carly...this is religion pure and simple and as long as it stays out of the science classroom I am OK with it. Fortunately, the Supreme Court agrees. I live 10 minutes away from the place and have hunted 450 million year old fossils nearby. Ironic isn't it.

  • They are going to be laughed at, if creation ever gets taught in any public school in Alberta, I will vote liberal in the next election for the first time in my life. I just don't see that happening though. I hope I don't eat crow, there is probably one I don't know about.

  • as fucked up humans are, i might buy the idea of an unintellegent designer.

  • Does the disproving of evolution prove the existence of God? Much less the Christian God?

  • Exactly what I've always said. I don't see some copyright saying Made By Jesus!

  • Sad and pathetic

  • Oh gawd.. Well at least it's somewhat comforting to know that not just Americans are rushing headlong to take a big wizz in the fountain of knowledge.

  • Comforting for you perhaps. I was under the delusion that us Canucks were a little smarter than the average evangelical from the America south. Apparently I was mistaken.

  • Don't you mean the "tree" of knowledge. If you are, or were, a christian you know the first sin was disobedience related to the acquisition of knowledge. From the beginning, the god christians believe in always tried to prevent humans from knowing anything. He equated knowledge with being "as gods" (note the plural and compare with a bible). Modern christians are merely holding up the tradition of desirable ignorance.

  • lol. On the map. Next to Drumheller, in red, is the Royal Tyrrell Museum! (tyrrellmuseum dot com)

  • I like the music. And in the interests of free speech and debate, they should be allowed to have this 'museum', as long as it is privately funded and kids get proper science teaching in school. But yes - it's laughable...

  • I would have stopped right at "This is a scientific museum". Oh for fucks sake! Big band and evolution are completely DIFFERENT! Goddamn I hate these fucking morons!

  • To wolf: See, I told ya. Didn't I tell you. yes I did.

  • LOL they just don't get that creationism is not the same as science. Truly sad if it actually turns a profit.

  • Nice to see you back, but what a topic...tell me its not true!

  • Oh, not the bacterial flagelum again! Don't they know its been debunked!

  • So disengenuously pathetic.

  • I cannot believe they are allowed to open creationist museums! It's unbelievable! I mean if I won the lottery could I open a FSM museum?? I feel sorry for all those children who will be brainwashed into thinking 'creationism' is a scientific idea on par with evolution. Welcome back friendofdarwin btw :) I like your new look ;P

  • I wonder if they would let us enter dressed as a pirate.

  • Where creationists there to see the flying spaghetti monster create the word?

  • hahah what kind of physical evidence could they possibly have. #1 dinosaur bones being in a creation museum is simply ridiculous unless they magically found a 7-headed fire breathing dragon somewhere. #2 combining the terms science and creation in the museum name is a retarded concept. #3 if they want to present so called "relevant" biblical fossils/evidence, then give me the bones of the plagiarized pegan creatures like a unicorn, satyr, or cockatrice

  • I wonder if they would let billy the bible boy in for free to make review. ;)

  • Wow. Well, I can tell just by looking at their video that they never, EVER have a biased opinion and ignore evidence [/SARCASM]

Did anyone else notice the model of the bacterial flagellum? I mean, c'mon! HOw can they claim to be scientific when they still use old outdated arguments like the flagellum?

    Fuckin' morons!

  • The scientific community should open an evolution museum next door and display the evidence THEY don't want you too see so that people can decide for themselves. I'm actually glad these museums are opening because the controversy will be tremendous and the world can see just how far out of hand this bullshit is getting.

  • Actually, the Royal Tyrell Museum (quite possibly the single greatest paleontological institution in the entire world) is about 60 km south of Big Valley in Drumheller Aberta, so you really can do just that!

  • Slim chance of one going up in Kentucky.

  • If creationism and evolution were on the same playing field...there couldn't be debate, because they'd both be bullshit! It'd be like debating between Star Trek and Babylon 5.

And just so we're clear, Star Trek wins.

  • They're still peddling Irreducibility..?

    Sad.
