Thanks! We did this on my fiancee's PLATINUM engagement ring. I was not that great at applying it- it took me three applications and I did get some bubbles, but in the end it was at least uniform. I was a little messy but I kept a toothpick handy to help wrangle the glue, which comes out like that stuff that holds pamphlets in magazines, pliable and not "wet". We hung it up to dry and my fiancee loves it. THANKS. Did NOT want to pay $45 or so, leaving it in the hands of a stranger.

@Kristiana80 you could try it on a dollar store ring first, it peels right off :-) actually I've noticed e-6000 isn't very waterproof- I tried a patch on my shirt and it came off in the wash, so I bet soaking it in water would work just as easy to remove it as peeling *shrug*
I tried this and it works!!:)...I've tried the plastic ring guards and not only were they bulky but they rubbed a blister on my other fingers. To me this is by far the solution to the problem...GREAT IDEA!!

I have the complete opposite problem :( I have fat fingers and it's hard for me to find one that fits! I'm between a 7 and 8. 7's too small, 8's too big. GAH.
