I use IE, but wen the thing opened itself, it said it needed an active x control. Strangely, it didnt install itself, and i was able to close the program. It never appeared again, and I got no false warnings.

that defienetly seems like malware. just download avg anti spyware and use it to scan. also use a virus scanner like avg. you can also try a clean install if all else fails.

NOPE! Dont Use Ad-Aware SE!! Lavasoft is stopping updating it! And Spyware Terminator, is an okay freeware program WITH REALTIME PROTECTION! BUT! Its Web Security Guard is bad, so its hard for the program to delete the spyware it detects.

^^ I use Terminator, and Spybot, and i dont like Aware, for many reasons! 1. They DONT defend you against WhenU like Spybot does!

2. Spybot has MANY features that aware, only has in the PRO/PLUS version.

and 3. Lavasoft lies, about the last version called Ad-Aware 2007 - They say, the program is better cathing malware, and it isnt.

I visited a site and then a fake warning sayed YOUR PC IS SLOW PLEASE USE THESE ANTI SPYWARE AND ANTIVIRUS PROGRAMS, Dont press cacle ok or x cause its all yes.THen i scanned with onecare and got spysherrif and a trojan called m,alware alarm.. that scared me, and onecare removed it And i had to shut off because the fake warning message

Wow this is really scary that WinAntiVirus somehoe got onto my pc over night when i fell asleep and i woke up to 8 viruses and it installed a driver that kept brigning it back it took me two days till i decided to whip my pc and i t took me a full day to reinstall my drivers and update my hp.
