  • got the champagne on ice for when this vindictive fascist bitch dies!

  • Looking back at this, it's hard to know whether to sing that old football anthem "Go home ya cunt" or "It's time to meet the muppets"

  • God bless Margaret Thatcher

  • 20 years ago! Time does fly!

  • Fuck the witch

  • go to hell spiteful and wicked woman , the world and certainly britain is better off without awful scum like you , ha ha.

  • oh fuck off she got this country back on its feet after labours terrible mess of the 70s she made the country much stronger and stood up for British ppl somthing brown nor any other recent leader would ever do

  • @charlieiscool1000 fuck off yourself you bigotted twat she was a fucking disaster , did you have a son who died in the falklands ? fuck you shithead.

  • This so reminds me of Julius Cesar. Except with the stabs to the back...all 15 of em lol!

  • This is what the news looked like the year I was born?!

  • @Tetrisrock

    Weird isn't it?

  • @xandy1959 that is correct and I think John Major still holds the record for the highest ever amount of votes.

  • well its worth pointing out that when major won in 1992 he got more votes then thatcher ever did amazing but true

  • hey i was five at the time i got one question to ask how did major beat the blonde beast Michael Heseltine?

  • Who would ever know my unknown, but am sure would be my good friend?! We'll never know........

  • I shed tears when I think of the day Thatcher resigned... tears of laughter! People said because she wept it showed that she must be human... I replied "Her tears were for herself, nobody else... she didn't shed any tears for the miners, steelworkers, millworkers and others at the bottom did she?".

  • @Kevinasp You said it man!!!

  • The newsreader can't keep still. He was always shifting around, it really irritated me.

  • She was good for her party during the 1980's, but I would argue that her rule played a major (note the irony) part in keeping the Tories out of power for over a decade.... and in some parts of the UK their support has never recovered.. and probably never will recover...

  • No that was the fuckwit Major.

  • Check out Mandelson's tache at 1:03 - Beast.

  • Yes I remember this, that was a good day. The only good thing about the poll tax, it cost her her head.

  • poll tax lol...she fucked that right up then put a right wimp in power to make her look good...lol....j magor...lol...what a tosser he was...lol

  • @rufusandburne

Major was a wimp but he left Britain with a surplus, Blair & Brown have left us with a trillion £ of Debt

  • lol...how old you?

  • @antonjon1 I believe it is the speculators and bankers have left us in this mess - Blair & Brown gave them the freedom necessary to let this happen, like good Thatcherites.

  • @onesy1 The bankers are only partly resposseble for the national debt, Labours wreckless spending along with PFI and the public sector pensions timebomb (also Labours fault) are also major causes.

  • @antonjon1 Yeah I agree with you. New Labour's attempt to fund a growing public sector by taxing an otherwise deregulated private sector was always going to be unworkable.

  • poll tax was a good idea, but they tried to introduce it to quickly

  • Any tax must take account of the ability to pay. It taxed the poor the same as the wealthy, that's why most people wanted her head.

  • true, but it was fairer than making pensioners living alone in huge houses pay over £4000 a year when they dont even have an income.

  • "It taxed the poor the same as the wealthy"

    Thats my sort of equality.

  • "Thats my sort of equality."

No matter, it still cost her her head, good thing too.

  • The whole world denationalized, yet, here we are again, the naive opinions of the economically illiterate.

    It's just boring now.

  • As opposed to the equally naive opinions of the economically unspeakable in pursuit of the unattainable,

If it weren't so tragic it would be boring.

  • Mystery art lovers revealed...in Neighbours.

  • Watching this just cheered me up!

  • This was marked the greatest day in British history.

  • @Baltorocks123 Yes because winning the war was just a minor event as compared. pffft, what idiots marked it the best day out our 1000s of years of history?

  • A great day. The worst PM we've had in my lifetime.

  • you are fucking joking? eeerrr.. Tony 'the fake millionaire' Blair..cuntus colossus

  • thatchers evil

  • especially when the roof catches fire

  • She resigned, then came the most uncharismatic, boring Prime Minister history has ever known....JOHN MAJOR!

  • @voon100 John Major - had decent enough policies, but as a leader and prime minister - he had no guts. He didn't have the guts to implement them because he didn't have the guts to discipline his MPs, especially when they were getting involved in sex scandals and Cash for questions Plus it didn't help him that because the Tories had been in power for so long that they had run out of ideas.

  • She will rot in hell.

  • hey i bet you about 14 years old!

  • She was the victim of a pro European conspiracy.

She was "denounced" in her words, by the globalist Bilderberg group for refusing to 'dissmantle' British sovereignty shortly before her removal from office.

  • wow, is that a cell phone going off at 6:42? I didn't know they existed yet

  • They had them but they were the size of a suit case.

  • @rawdawg15 They did but only for the sod-rich!!!

  • that would be the same Lance Price who was in the Downing Street Press Office under Tony Blair

  • Lol at Pete Mandleson with tache at 1:08

  • Stupid Bitch

  • what did she do that was so bad

  • Ohhh.... I wonder when will this fool Gordon Brown will give his resignation to the Queen!

  • lmfao!

  • The character printed the front of the World of Warcraft - The Burning Crusade expansion pack always reminds me of Michael Heseltine.

  • Why should Mrs Thatcher have resigned after the miner's strike? She achieved what she had intended to do. And yes, the Poll Tax riots were in March 1990.

  • Yippeeee !!!!!

  • poll tax riots wern't in 86. remember she won the 87 election with a 114 majority

  • The wets ruined the Tory party.

  • Comment removed

  • She should have resigned after the Miners Strike but had the gaul to remain even after the Poll Tax riots in 86, I remember in those days people didn't question the Politicians as they do now. We are in this recession due to her obsession with the deregulation of the financial sector. She was PM when Westminster council was involved in electoral corruption

  • Comment removed

  • Ah, the Iron Bitch. Thank god she is no longer PM.

  • Fuck off Bitch. Nice big boot up the backside, OUT!

  • Thatcher for EU president!

  • uh no

  • Resignutio... resignation.

  • randomfunnyguy433

in life, their is a benefit to adversity. one of them is coal mines. look at the state of the energy industry prices/costs. Coal gave us a good supply and low energy costs.

  • the coal miners had more strikes that any other proffesion, and mostly then, why do you think she closed them? She closed mines for two reasons, one it was a dirty, dangerous and wasteful profession where we were making losses, two here predecesor, ie Ted Heath, and I mean the last predecesor, had more strikes with coal miners they had pretty much decided he was to go, mostly due to the fact that we had no power due to them. It had to be done if you don't want to be doomed in an election.

  • fucking hell was that mark getting into the car,no wonder she hasnt been seen since, hes doing the map reading.

  • she was evil, i only hope we never never have another tory goverment. No i do not vote new labour

  • Greatest Prime Minister in British history.

  • I dunno Atlee was pretty good.

  • lol and the ira blowing up bombs all over england

  • you must be bloody joking this woman did fuck all for this counrty shit on the working class bugered up the unions got rid of steal workers minors and railways and the unfair poll taxs it was a day to rejoice the old witch had gone live in the real world

  • Hmmmn let's see, it was more cost efficent to import coal from abroad,a large proportion of miners salery's were from the tax payer, meaning the tax payer was subsiding a loss making industry. Logic over sentiment. Unions were unelected bodies telling the goverment what to do, it was only right and democratic that their powers were stripped (they're always striking anyway). Privitisation of the energy markets has done wonders for inflation. Just except that the industrial revolution is over.

  • what a load of bollocks it was stuff like that which made us great it was industry that we need for jobs and that bloody bitch stop it. As for unions working persom need them for protection so that bosses can not treat there workers how it suits them pay them a bad wage which that stupid woman did

  • how do you know you still at school when she left and if you were working you would had it bad. just think yourself lucky so gone now and the 1970s was a brill time i was a round then

  • Wait a second you, you, are calling the 70s good? Are you mental.

They were some of the worst past war years we have had, expect straight after, and now, no power for weeks practically, hippies walking round and acting idiotic, crime awfully high, Clockwork Orange, the list is endless on how bad the 70s were. And in the 70s coal miners, which you must be a descendant of, due to the fact that you can't spell or make a debate,

  • hold on a moment how do you know your only 13. Who ever told you this is telling you a fairtale. For starters in the 80s the miners steal workers lost there jobs railways were cut back and a poll tax which no one could aford to pay. in the 70s this country was ok just a three months at the start of 79. The three day under a tory govement. I was around you werent

  • Don't be silly, she left 3 million unemployed

  • She left 2 million in 1990. The 70s and early 80s crisis left 3 million

  • mi dad remembers actually watching this report

he was in the pub and the landlord gave us free drinks for a week lol

  • I was 20 and watched her speech in parliament that afternoon, it was amazing. Classic Thatcher at the dispatch box.

  • john major, wtf, was the tories thinking of????

  • They were thinking, 'God, that other two are useless' with a few more colourful adjectives in between.

  • I take great offence at both of your comments, johngalantini and HarveyCartwright, there is no need for posting such offensive remarks.

  • Mrs Thatcher was the greatest Prime Minister since Churchill.

  • I'm having a party when thatcher dies!

    shes an old goat!

  • Comment removed

  • fair enough; but if we're having a state funeral, can we at least have it tomorrow?

  • Well, my mother, young as she is has already beaten breast cancer, but unfortunatley, it returned some years ago and she now has many tumours throughout her body, but is extremely brave about it and is hanging in there. I am immensly proud to be her son. If abuse directed at my mother is the sort of thing someone such as yourself reduces themself to, following my satirical opinion on Lady Thatcher, then I'm grateful not to be assocaited with the party you so gallantly represent and speak for.

  • HarveyCartwright - I know you and your type of people. We all hoped you cunts had died out in the late eighties. I live out in the countryside and usually after some bullshit "point to point" horsey event, your ancestors would ruin a perfectly good afternoon in our local. Green wellies, plus fours, molekins, barbours, bloated red faces, floppy hair, hooting blarting and braying away as if they owned the place. Cunts like you are yesterdays news. Get used to it, you ex public school Cock Smoker.

  • That was one of the happiest days of my life (next to Bush leaving). That self-serving witch needed to go.

  • What year was this sorry i need to know for a reason so get back to asap please

  • BBC English accent is very beautiful. (for a foreigner's point of view)

  • Douglas Hurd looks like his Spitting Image Puppet

  • So many Rover cars!

    The Tories "purchased British products"

    Labour let them die....

  • Ho! Ho! Ho!

Wasn't it the Tories (under one J. Major) that flogged Rover Group to (German Owned) BMW, which originally put it on the slippery slope?

  • Hi grezh

the longbridge workers put rover on the slippery slope helped by the unions.Germans by companys to put people in jobs and make profit not so the workers can sit on there back sides all day playing cards.

    regards dave.

  • I seem to remember that Rover under British Aerospace (with a Honda and a government stake) was a successful (and I believe) profitable company. Honda wouldn't have a 20% stake in a "playing cards" company either!

BMW bought Rover group to obtain a small car (MINI) and a foot into 4x4 cars (X3, X5) and obtained the technology from Rover. It put up prices, causing sales to drop dramatically, and then offloaded it with a mountain of debt.

  • Hi grezH

Are we talking land rover or longbridge rover they get mixed up qiute alot. Why would any sane goverment want to sell its stake in a profitable comany. You are right BMW did buy rover group to get its hands on the 4x4 and mini techology the goverment of the day allowed it to happen after throwing hundreds of millions of pounds at rover in tax payers money you would have thort they should have put up more of a fight.

    regards dave.

  • The old bitch will be dead soon, she's well old and frail. No doubt there will be a state funeral. Hopefully it means a day off work :)

She was the kind of person that allowed her sexuality get in the way. She would not back down or compromise on principle she was a woman.

She lost people many jobs and was disliked by the British people.

The IRA won't forget her - Bobby Sands and the other 10 and the Miners too.

Fuk Her and her corrupt cabinet.

  • Bobby Sands chose to do what he did. No one forced him or his mates to starve themselves.

You just remember who stood this broken shithole back on it's feet after the Soviet Spy Harold Wilson ruined it. How's that for corrupt?

  • Harold Wilson was not a Soviet spy. The only people who thought this were nutty paranoid people like Peter Wright on the fringes of MI5.

I do seem to remember that the wonderful Mrs T managed 2 recessions in 10 years, and produced a growth rate rather similar to the post-war average.

  • She's adored here too. It's a vocal MINORITY who hate her and most of them have been brainwashed into thinking that war. That, or they just love seeing their country ruined by the Labour party. Or they're stupid full stop.

  • Are you insane?

  • No, just tired of Labour and the Thatcher haters who are probably better off because of her but are too scared to say it.

  • I didn't think the Conservatives ruined Afghanistan?

Although Churchill was all about war. Good thing too. Chamberlin might have sold us over to Hitler if he's been scared enough.

The name says it all really. "Jabroni".

  • Chamberlain was also a Conservative, and actually much closer to mainstream Conservative opinion in the 1930s, so I'm not sure what point you are making here, really.

  • the conservatives where the worst thing to happen to this country espically in the 80s and 90s, it wasnt until labour under blair that this country was back on top, domestically and in foreign affairs as well. im an irish nationalist in NI and blair was the best man for the job, instead of trying to show he had balls like thatcher he actually tried to do something and help the people of NI and because of him we are at peace. if thatcher was still in power we would still be blowing each other up

  • That's a good point. I mean, I admire Thatcher for some things but for NI she almost seemed to delight in exacerbating matters. And that was prior to Brighton. I do actually think Major deserves some credit because he was talking to the IRA when it was unthinkable. Despite not admitting it to Parliament.

  • It certainly is not a common view. Only in the North is she hated and even then, tons of people up here voted for her.

People in this country want REAL leaders like her, not some lying twats who pretend to stick up for the lower classes and then fuck the whole country up (The Labour Party).

  • Nooooo, I want her back!!!!!!!! Major failed, Blair is an idiot & Brown stinks!!! MAGGIE RULES!!!!

  • yeaaaa!!! the Bitch is gone..Yeaaaa!!!

During the miners strikes she got members of the army to dress up as police men and beat the miners off the streets.. using the army against your own people... dictator :[

  • Trying to bring down the government and using violence and intimidation to do it like the miners did=Terrorism.

  • thatcher ignored her cabinet, did what she liked and used the army to control her subjects that= dictatorship..check and mate

How bad is it when your own party force you to leave??

  • he's right you know.

we did about her in policy studies she made some huuuge errors.

  • Hi betty

I was brought up in the thatcher years, this country was on its knees when she came to power.she put the great back in great britain, she draged us off our knees, took back our country from the unions, gave the working class the right to own there own home and far more, fort thee I,R,A,after labour sent them in,yes she made mistakes as do we all at times but shes still worth a 1000 blairs or browns evern on her worst day.

  • Lord Stockton (Harold Macmillan) said 'she sold off the family silver.' Vast sums of North Sea Oil revenues were used to bribe the electorate. The Falklands War was her re-election campaign. She had left the Islands wide open to attack bt Argentina. She 'fought' the I.R.A., but she didnt 'win' The final irony was when she was stabbed in the back by her own side!

  • Hi bobby2

There was still plenty of siver left at the end which is more than i can say for our gold reserves, she did not beat the IRA,LABOUR GAVE INTO THEM IN THE END,AND THEN ATACKED A SMALL COUNTRY KILLING OVER 200.OO THOUSAND MUSLIMS INCLUEDING MANY WOMAN AND CHILDREN.The final irony is blair did a runer and left a sinking ship so brown can steer us all to the bottom of the sea because labour M,Ps,did not have the balls to call a general election.

  • Her policies were very short term- privatisation, for example, was only done to get money then. Now we are suffering from the consequences of having a crap rail system, leaky Thames Water and expensive energy. We've also got LOADS of bankers as she destroyed our industry which is why we're suffering so badly from the credit crunch. She increased unemployment and homelessness.

Also, remember her support for Pinnochet and the Arpartied etc. Evil cow.

  • Hi persons privatisation came about because labours nationalized industrys cost billions and produced all most nothing. Her short term polices put britain back as a world leader till labour came back.our own work force distroyed our industyrs.we are suffering now because of 11years of labour.we have 3mill on the dole,3mill incapasity bennifits,1mill not counted,2mill asylum seekers,1 mill ileagals, plus 1mill eastern europeans, compiments of labour.

  • Thatcher's privatised industry costs more, because the companies have to make a profit and that's all they care about. They don't really care about the needs of the people and can do whatever they like because we can't go to another company.

We have so many unemployed people because of Thatcher. Unemployment and homlessness increased under her.

The IMF has said that we are suffering so badly from the credit crunch because our economy is based on banks etc. That's her fault.

  • Hi person are these your own words or somthing you have read out of your school books,i have lived through both labour and conservative goverments for over 50 years.labour always mess up everthing and leave the country all most bankrupt on the way out of office.you have had 16 easy years 5 under the conservatives they left our economy stronger than ever, after 11years of total mismanagement under labour look at us

    know

    regards dave.

  • I have to live through the consequences of Thatcher's actions- they are still affecting us now.

Anyway, I know that she supported Pinnochet and the South African Arpathiad, I know that the IMF said that we're suffering because of her action and I know that that under her, unemployment was seen as a necessary evil for the future benefit of the minority.

I haven't had to live through Thatcher's government, but I can look at the evidence we have now.

  • Hi person

You have to live through thatchers action.lady thatcher draged this country off its nees after yet another spine less labour goverment labour and the unions all most distroyed our country.the miners distroyed there own jobs,we had 3day weeks.we were known as the sick man of europe because of the amount of time we lost from work through strikes, sick days, ectr, ectr, what you are living through now is 11 years of labour mismanagement.

  • Only the Queen has subjects, not the PM.

It wasn't the rank and file of the Tory party that forced her to leave, (they still loved her) but a few cowardly MP's scared of losing their jobs.

Also, it wasn't she who put troops into northern Ireland in the first place, they went in under a Labour Government in 1969.

  • she might not have sent them in but she did nothing to get them out. she also let 10 of the hunger strinkers die and after they were dead then gave them the rights they were asking for. and now she gets a state funeral. well i dont really mind she'll be gone, we'll be happy :]

  • Still going on about the Bobby Sands show?

Poor guy. If it weren't for the IRA he might still be alive. Oh well, her achievements overshadow his. I'm pretty sure he'll be a small paragraph in the great history book of the world whereas she'll get a nice big page.

And the state funeral stuff was false. Even Harman said it was false.

  • The MPs had a better grasp of public opinion than the party in the country though, precisely because they were elected. If the Tories had kept Margaret Thatcher, they would have lost in 1991 or 1992.

  • Hi briant121

Strange i hurd that the miners dressed as police and army then beat up several of there own miners, the ones that did not want to strike any way.

    regards dave.

  • The Americans would love her, wouldn't they. Greed reigns supreme among the Yanks.

  • She was an arse who tried to end community spirit and break the workers. She's hated..a it like GW Bush.

  • Funny how so many workers voted for her isn't it?

Most people in this country like her. You "Workers" can keep your shitty PM's like Wilson & Callaghan. The rest of us want REAL leaders not Paper Tigers.

  • How we danced for joy! Shows how deluded she was when she still thought she had overwhelming support. Even her own party couldn't wait to get rid of her, never mind the rest of the country.

  • An unpopular cnut that ruined the country and was another of these long line of politicians that pleased themselves and cabinet but never made the country great or put the people first.

All the PM's have been gutless, faceless, selfish, silver spoon fed twats that use lies to get the position then do what they wish.

    Scum.

  • 100 % spot on.

  • John Major was working class and left school with no qualifications.

    How is that "Silver Spoon"?

Or maybe you should read around before making such stupid comments.

  • Happiest day of my life

  • A sad day for Britain. We need her back.

  • 'Wake up Maggie I think I've got something to say to you...'

Sorry, can't help thinking of this song. Good riddance to the old hag.

  • Watchdog rejects yacht probe request?

    How about that?

Team, QCs and egos - it IS a funny old world, Maggie.

  • Lloyd George was the greatest chancellor

  • Clarke's a lowlife drug dealer who's made a fortune from deaths of millions killed by fags. The game's finally up. Thatcherism is dead- killed by the greed at the heart of a sick ideology. Nationalisation now having to save us from her legacy. Shame on Tories and Maggie admirers Blair + Brown who betrayed socialism. See now where it got us?

  • Once Thatcher went, the Prince of Greyness John Major came in.

  • A much underrated PM, and I think it is safe to say Kenneth Clarke has been the greatest Chancellor of the Exchequer in history.

  • greatest tory chancellor.

  • And by extension the greatest Chancellor ever. There hasn't been a single, even half decent Labour Chancellor. Many would say Gordon Brown, but even Dennis Healy was better than him.

  • Lloyd George would probably go down as the best

  • Chancellor? I don't see how. Yes, he came into the role with massive debts to America, but he was more concerned with his female consorts than the job.

  • haha resegNUsion.. lol
