Finally... The cockpit video is not an F-16...it was a Canadian CT - 155 Hawk incident, from May 14, 2004, near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The incident was CT155202 and they did some redesign on the ejection seat after the instructor pilot was seriously injured in the ejection. The Personal Locator Beacon was also fixed. DNA analysis of the bird remains revealed it was a Franklin's Gull. The accident reports are online.
@floydflys72f T6NL is a code for an airplane engine over temperature condition. "T" stands for temperature, the number six refers to stage six, "N" stands for shaft rotation speed in the engine and the "L" stands for low pressure. @floydflys72f also it was saying Gear not down..... the was a Canadian Trainer not an F-16 so the Bitching Betty had a British accent.... stupid I know.

lol this is exactly why i would prefer to fly a Mig-29 it has a protective mesh to keep foreign objects from entering the intake and well causing the loss of the plane
This aircraft is not an F16. It's a BAe Hawk 115 from NFTC (NATO Flying Training in Canada) based in Moose Jaw and Cold Lake. This incident took place in Moose Jaw.
The poor student is so close to having a stroke it's almost funny. His breathing is out of control, slurring his words, he's textbook panicing. Instructor is calm and cool. Poor bird.
Everyone thumbs you down, but you are completely correct.
This is a simulator they put pilots through in the military. Yes, even sims of a bird taking out your engine- that is a real hazard when flying any plane- military or not.
we have liquid correcting parsqua's spelling with wrong grammar (you're is a contraction of "you are." you should have used "your education is a waste of money.")
and then we have fran correcting liquid's grammar with wrong spelling (it's grammar. not grammer)
If you are going to be the Grammar police on youtube at LEAST capitalize the first letters of your sentences. When you are quoting someone, quotations go on the inside of periods. Your use of a period after the word "grammar" verifies the fact that you are an idiot.
"it's grammar." is a complete sentence. a period belongs there. you're probably mentally retarded so i'll let that one slide. seriously though... get an education. you have no idea how dumb you are. you have no idea at all. i feel bad for you.

Anything that gets pulled into the engines can cause the blades to shatter - those things are spinning damned fast. At the very least, you lose that engine - if the broken shards puncture the engine wall or the fuel already in the engine explodes, you can lose both.
That's why AA missiles aren't just warheads - they also fill the air around an aircraft with shrapnel in the hopes of doing this.
ha these these fighters are designed to be undetected to radar and to withstand bullets and small missiles and then some bird makes it crash. maybe they should put bird cannons on these planes
a 16 million dollar machine and its been defeated by a harmless bird... that just dont make sense... 16 million for a defensive weapon that can be taken down by a bird, why use a another million dollar aircraft to take down this aircraft when instead you can just release thousands of pidgeons into the sky to take it down... its a lot cheaper than millions of dollars regardless if the pidgeon attemp wasnt successful not gonna be in any danger if you fail...
because pigeons don't fly at 10,000 ft? Anyways, birds have always caused issues with aircraft. My dad worked at a large industrial aircraft complex, apparently close to a shop where they launched (originally live) turkeys at aircraft windshields to see how they could withstand a hit at takeoff or landing speeds.
ye man, for as far as i can tell they take the time to point the aircraft into a field, and then they eject. they didnt lose their cool even with their lives at stake.

PolxenTwo 2 years ago
I want to join the grammar war! Periods are also called full stops, and that's what they are for, you can't use three in a row.
Also, when nagging about something as trivial as a period, you might want to consider using capital letters at the start of every sentence.
Some comma's instead of periods would have also helped to make your post more readable.
I apologize for my own poor use of the English language, I'm not a native speaker.
