  • I just finished watching all three movies- and all i want to do is watch them over and over again- and marry Legolas :)

  • I never stop seeing Lotr or stop playing its games.

  • @LovelyFreak0 I totally agree with you but Lord of the Rings is not a trilogy, simply one book split up into 3 parts. Sorry to get nerdy on yo ass

  • @DaanGoould Actually, it's a book split up into six parts; you will notice that The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and Return of the King are all split up into two books each; and each part is titled "Book One", "Book Two", etc. Sorry to get all nerdy on you.

  • Love this soundtrack

  • Damn, I love 3:50-4:20 so much...

  • 3 people died for looking upon the forbidden pool.

  • @DarthVailan when it's power unleashed he will dominate all of middle earth, saruman at the beginning of the evil campaign.

  • That voice in the end of the song...and melody...Like some higher force that announces that the world falls into shadow ...4:40 - 5:08

''It is a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt over so small a thing, such a little thing...''

    Astonishing.

  • I can't wait for The Hobbit to come out!!!!!!! Thumbs up if you can't wait either.

  • Reading 'The Hobbit', listening to 'Lord of the Rings' and drinking a cup of tea. A better evening a man can't think of.

  • "Rock and pool, is nice and cool, so juicy sweeeeeeet. Our only wish, to catch a fish so juicy sweeeeeeet"

  • Indeed it was infact gollum/smeagol who destroyed the ring.

  • Three people were seen for who they are by Frodo and were shot by several dozen arrows.

  • 3 people bathed in the Forbidden Pool.

  • it makes my flesh creep

  • I wish I were related to tolkien.

  • "FILTHY little hobbitses! They STOLE it from us!"

    "What did they steal??"

    "My...... PRECIOUS!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • 4:40 ..Epic..

  • faramir, i love you like hell loves fire, but you were a fuckin' bastard in that scene... Oo

  • MYYYYYY PRECIOUSSS!!!!!!!!

  • 4:40 - 5:56 Love it

  • This is the one scene in the movie I cannot watch. It always makes me want to strangle Faramir.

  • i love faramir, yes. but he fucked it up big time in this part :/

  • DON'T DO IT SMEAGOL

  • Fish fish fish o so sweet juicy fish!! ;D

  • SMÉAGOL DON'T LISTEN TO YOURSELF! LISTEN TO WHAT FRODO SAID :OO!!!

  • so juicyyyyyyyy sweeeeeeeeet

  • smeagol is so cute when hunting for fish... =p

  • the thing which annoys me is that Faramir and the rangers never did this in the book.

Smeagol didn't trust them, but they never harmed him. Smeagol planned to have Frodo and Sam killed from the beginning

  • @udun93 I think Peter Jackson had his reasons to put this in the movie. I, myself, don't consider it a bad thing, this part gives the story of Smeagol an extra tragic side.

When I see this part, I get touched by the tragedy of this creature, the fact that he could've been good, but because of a bad twist of faith ends up being evil. I think this was exactly what Peter Jackson intended and I can't help but to think of him as pure genius.

  • @tarantino1999 i do agree, but it does demonise one of the purest characters from the book. The thing about Faramir was he was restrained and kind, where Boromir was proud and thuggish. But, as you say, there was a reason for it

  • rock and pool, snice and cool, the fish so juicy sweeeet! our only wish, to catch a fish, so juicy SWEEEEET ^_^

  • Sons of Gondor! Of Rohan! My brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Men comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!

  • @SuperZanna88 for frodo...

  • I have to say, no matter how many times I watch these movies, my reactions are the same:

I cheer when something epic and awesome happens

I scream when I see nazguls

    and I cry. A lot.

And I absolutely love it. LOTR is the best trilogy ever!!

  • @LovelyFreak0 You forgot "Squeal whenever Legolas appears on the screen." >w<

  • The rock and pool, is nice and cool, so juicy sweet. Our only wish, to catch a fish, so juicy sweeeeeeeet :D

  • @Leaf0fLorien *Smack* *Smack* *Smack*

  • In the pool

    It's nice and cool

we like it in the pool so cool

the catch a fish so juicy SWEEETTTT!!!

    <3 Smeagol<3

    He deserves to be good

  • To enter the Forbidden Pool bears the penalty of death.

  • it's so bogus though...Smeagol in the book NEVER started to be good. he was/is/always will be pure evil. it was over for him when he murdered Deagol...I don't like how the TT made it seem like he could be good...sure it makes for good story telling, but it's not in the book.

Then again, TT is probably the least accurate of them all...

but still, LOTR is a 10 outta 10. love 'em.

  • @ruthanneism Excuse me... no! Smeagol was a dual personality even in the book! It's made a lot more clear in the movie, but there is some hint in the book that smeagol is not wholly evil. Course... I'm biased really... I love smeagol. The best character in the book and movie ;) The movie killed Frodo (scriptwise) or he would have been my fav ;)

  • @EyeofKraid Give it to us rrrraw and wrrrrriggling, eh? Ugh how can anybody love smeagol?! That's just wrong.

  • @PeppermintGlow HE IS CLASS! DOn't you dare diss Smeagol! XD

  • @PeppermintGlow

“Smeagols life is a sad story. Yes smeagol he was once called, before the ring found him, before it drove him mad.”

  • ITS A TRAP!

  • Mean men hurts us! Master tricks us!

  • Smmeeeaaggooll...Smeeaaggooll! Why does it cry?

Cruel men hurts us! Master betrayed us!

I told you he was tricksy. I told you he was false!

The look on Faramir's face when the Gollum/Smeagol discussion started up - LOL

  • i love the song he's singing about fishes :p

how does it go .. euhmm.. the rock and pool are fresh and cool , hmm nevermind xD

  • @h1r43th4l1v3 Its "The rock and pool is nice and cool, so nice for feeeet! We only wish to catch a fish, so juicy sweeeet!". Andy Serkis actually improvised that, he adapted it from a song Smeagol sings in the books.

  • @Dernhelm888 aah thank you

  • @Dernhelm888 you forgot to add the "smack!"in there every time he would bang the poor fish to death on a rock while he was singing, lol

  • every one laugh at the idiot who accidently hit the dislike button lol :)

  • epic music to epic movies :)

  • "smeagol....why does it cry smeagol?" "Cruel men hurts us. master tricksed us." "of course he did, I told you he was tricksy, i told you he was false." "Master is our friend, our friend." "master betrayed us." "no, not its business. leave us alone!" filthy little hobbits! they stole it from us!" "no, no!" "what did they steal?" "myyyyyy precious!!! AHHHHH"

    dunno if i skipped anything...

  • Poooor Smeagol... STUPID fat Hobbits! Nasty, Tricksy, False!

  • Smeagolo was starting to be good until the idiots came and beat him!

Though the music does describe its title.

  • When they started to beat Smeagol, they actually cut alought from the original. The extended version is longer and more brutal. Great for priming the audience.

  • Poor Sméagol. And very poor Faramir. I know how it feels loosing one's beloved brother.

However... Howard Shore did a very great job. In every movie.

  • Gollum is such a bizzare character

but hes also one of my favorites

we will never meet another Gollum

  • I love Legolas, Aragorn, Gimli, Pippin, Merri and Sam and I liked Sméagol too but he turned back to gollum so I hatet him after that ;D

  • I liked Lurtz, Legolas, Theoden, Faramir, and Aragorn

  • Faramir: What did they steal?" (Whispering.)

    Gollum/Smeagol: My Precioussss!!! Haaaaaaaa!!!

  • Gollum: Smeagol... Smeagol... why does he cry Smeagol

Smeagol: Cruel men hurts us Master tricksed us

Gollum: Of course he did we told you he was tricksy we told you he was false

  • my swimming pool!! GOLLUM GOLLUM

    GOLLUM!!! :P

  • pool is closed due to aids

  • "GOLLUM-GOLLUM-GOLLUM" "Master..."

  • It's more like: The rock and pool, are nice and cool" Smeagol had no clue it was the ***FORBIDDEN POOL!!!!****

  • "MASTA"

    "SMEAGOL"

  • 4:40 t/m 5:05 :-)

  • goosebumps :)

  • "The forbidden POOL,

    is nice and COOL."

  • LMAO XD

  • "How good it is

    To catch a fish

    So juicy

    SWEEEEEEEEET"

  • @Soundtrackfreak10 actually I think it's "Our only wish, to catch a fish, so juicy SWEEEEET!!!"

Hehe *whacks poor fishy on the rock* XD

  • @surrealfeline ooh...sorry. Gonna hav 2 watch it agen. I never like that part anyway - only seen it once wen it first came out in da cinema and i was like seven so sorry again...i don't like seeing gollum abused =[ he's my fave character

    x

  • I know - I most hate it when Sam YANKS on the leash and chokes him :(

And when he punches and beats him and stuff.

Poor Gollum didn't asked to be all twisted by the Ring :( cant help it...

  • xddx

  • This has got to be the greatest soundtrack.

  • Smeagol is such a tragic character. He wanted to be good but in the end gave in again.:(Although watching the fil I thought he would redeem himself. How wrong I was.:(

  • he tricked us all

  • ?wtf.... ahh whatever

  • @babause15 but he is forgiven, because without him, the ring wouldn't have been destroyed

  • @babause15 in the book he's really more of a scheming bastard. At least, I think he was...

  • Smeagol is portrayed a protagonist but at the same time a villian :(

  • Exactly, Smeagol is definitely the best character in LoTR, perhaps the only real, three-dimensional character. With the exception of Sam, of course.

  • Aragorn, Boromir, and Faramir

  • "What did they steal?"

    "my PRESIOUS!!! AAAARRRGGHH"

  • "Why does Smeagol cry?

    "Cruel men hurts us!"

  • "Master tricks us!"

  • @EmperorXemnas smeagol needs a hug. poor guy.

  • Great turning point in the film, the score flows perfectly.

  • wow this is the only peice of music with all the thumbs up i think this proves that this is a master peice

  • beautifull music

  • Poor Sméagol :(

  • I hate this part in the movie, Smeagol is just starting to beleive that he is good and they (Frodo and the dudes who capture him and beat him up) ruin it. It is the begining of the end for him. After this part he starts thinking of ways to kill them and take the ring back instead of finding food for them like he had before Sam and Frodo were captured. Whenever I see this part I'm like, "NOOO! He was just starting to be good!" Sorry, just some random thoughts. Great music btw. 5/5*

  • ^^ so true

  • Same here buddy. Same here.

  • finally someone who shares the pain

  • very true and rightly said '2muchskill4you' :)

    thumbs up!

  • @2muchskill4you Smeagol was evil to the core. As long as the ring was still in existence he would always try and take it from Frodo.

  • @Darkknight475 Actually, I think he has a valid point. Even though there was that part of Gollum who hated Frodo and Sam and wanted to kill them for the Ring, there was the other part, the distant memory of a hobbit called Smeagol who lived by the river. I think that part was just beginning to gain the upper hand before Frodo "betrayed" him. Any show of good by Gollum afterwards was just a pretence and used to make Frodo believe that he was still following and still liked his 'master'.

  • @Darkknight475 well that, I believe, is debatable. This whole scene in the book was played out differently.

But later on, Gollum has been "sneaking off" and upon his return he finds Frodo and Sam asleep peacefully, the sight of this touches something deep within him. He feels something of love towards Frodo, and reaches out to touch him gently, but then Sam wakes up and thinks he was "pawing at master" and speaks harshly with him, this is the point at which Gollum becomes totally corrupted

  • @Darkknight475 Tolkien considered Sam's harsh words and their outcome the most tragic part of the book. It is here that all Smeagol is gone and he's all Gollum. It said that if one of them had seen him as he watched him they would have thought that he was just an old hobbit, and that shows that he could have come back. If he had continued this way, he may still have stolen the Ring in the end, but only to protect Frodo from himself, and he would have jumped in himself with the Ring to save him

  • @2muchskill4you that's EXACTLY WHAT I THINK!!!! EVERY TIME I SEE THE MOVIE THOSE ARE THE EXACT THOUGHTS GOING THROUGH MY HEAD!

  • @2muchskill4you Wow, I feel the exact same way! I hate this part too, just want to jump inside the tvscreen and yell to Smeagol; "No, it's not what it seems like!!! Master did NOT betray you, not the way you think he did!" Lol xD Oh, an 5000 stars to the music btw ^^

  • @FantasyDessi I KNOW! Me too. I get so flustered. I'm like "WHY do you word it like that Frodo? You look like you're tricking him! Just say 'There are some men here and I stopped them from killing you. Behave Smeagol, be nice, and they won't harm you." or something like that. SHIT, ya know? Pooooor pooor Smeagol!

  • @2muchskill4you I think that there was never any hope for poor Smeagol... he was so obssesed with the ring, that he could never be free

  • @2muchskill4you yeah i know.... I like Faramir and all but still.. ugh.

  • @2muchskill4you wrong place at the wrong time, just chance it happened like that. (chance for all we know. but not chance when JRRT structured it)

  • @2muchskill4you

Exactly the same thing came into my mind! Alot of parts of this movie make me think quite deaply...

  • @2muchskill4you

    Or THESE movies.

  • @2muchskill4you I dont think Gollum couldve ever been turned good again

  • @deftonian69 i think he could have been! :( poor little fella.

  • @deftonian69 no I don't think so either. his mind was simply too poisoned by the ring's power by this point and there would be no true return to the way he was before he found the ring and killed Deigal (is that how you spell his name?) His 'good side' was pretty submissive to his evil half. The side that wanted the ring no matter what, even if he had to kill for it.

I like how he had a duel personality.

  • @2muchskill4you smeagol was tainted, and while there was that chance of redemption, the ithilien rangers ruin it, not frodo, besides as soon as he knew that frodo wanted to destroy the ring he would hhave gone crazy.

  • @2muchskill4you Then again, if he wouldn't have gotten mean then the ring would have not been destroyed and Middle-Earth would have faced eternal doom.

  • @2muchskill4you its so sad when Frodo says " Come Smeagol, come to the master, come!"

and Smeagol has his fish in his mouth and lies that crying suspicious sad look on Frodo. i feel pitty for him in that moment

  • @2muchskill4you But still he has to be killed in the end coz without him, the Damn Ring would live (coz Sam wouldn't have the ability to force Frodo) and plust he fact that his mind is already ruined by that shit (Ring). D:

  • @2muchskill4you mhm, In the two towers he did really try.

  • wow O_o! ^^
