  • THANK YOU SO MUCH1

  • It will work without that glass, because lcd&touch is 2in1.

  • I have a 2G wish has a nice crack from left to right of the screen, like 1/4 of the screen ... but the phone works... i might wanna try removing the glass like he did.. but i am not so sure... please advise to me if I should do it or not... thanks.. glass is $5bucks on amazon...

  • pro with a kitchen knife

  • what is that part that you glued on?

  • hey will this work if use adhesives for the black area instead of using glue??

And whats the name of the song in the beginning of the video?

  • btw dont ever try doing it like this idiot did most people will to too rough while doing this and damaging the digitizer in the process. save yourself the time and just replace the whole damn thing instead of doing this!!!!

  • dose the knife not damage the lcd?

  • MISOPHONES●COM

    UNLOCK YOUR iPhone #FTW

  • you can't separate the lcd from the glass . bcoz its not 3g(s)

  • how much pressure can you apply when you are removing the glass?

  • wouldent that mess up the touch screen?

  • EXCELLENT VIDEO! This is what i have been searching for. I have an iPhone 4, and they have returned to the method of gluing the screen to the LCD just like the iPhone 2G. You cannot separate the LCD and glass like you could with a 3G and 3GS. Right now, the only way you can fix an iPhone 4 is to buy the LCD and glass digitizer together for $150. This would save you tremendously. I have already picked off part of my broken screen but I was afraid to pluck off the portion covering the LCD.

  • @carltonflowers

    No your kidding?

Why in hell did the go back to that shit? It's a pain in the ass for those who drop their phones!

But I'm happy to share this video for all you who now have a broken iPhone 4 screen!

  • @carltonflowers Well, even though we hate it, Apple has the monopoly in their hand, for now. They can price them whatever they want, and make them do whatever they want. Metaphorically, it's a nice Italian sports car. It looks great, but breaks easily, and is expensive to repair, which is a half-ass business reputation, but it works.

  • Whats with the sunglasses? You look like a tool

  • @ronin7964 I think its protection for if bits of glass shatter exc.

  • well, brave man there, i would never do it,

    1. you can hurt your hands with that knife,

    2. you can hurt your iphone's digitizer,

    3. it takes a lot of time to do it,

you could simply take off the back cover and do it within 10 minutes dude.

don't do it like this again, :o

  • an easier way is to get a hair dryer on it and heat up the glue otherwise its really hard work trying to remove the solid glued screen. like previous posts have said whats the worst that can happen if you break the inner screen on a 2g its the only replacement anyway, good vid i did same on gf's phone, fixed for £8 :) like i say though use a hairdryer its easier and WEAR GLOVES YOUR DEALING WITH GLASS

  • what a cool dude

  • Damn how does he made it??? I tried it by myself.. and now I have broken LCD too.... It's impossible. Glass and LCD are to much sticky. Nothing to do with that. Now I have to buy the whole shit.

  • Damn how does he made it??? I tried it by myself.. and now I have broken LCD too.... It's impossible. Glass and LCD are to much sticky. Nothing to do with that. Now I have to buy the whole shit.

  • can i do the same thing for my iphone 3g?

  • Hahahahhaha Broken

  • Yes man at first thx a lot for your great video...:)

and for all the people out there, it is 100% possible to make it this way...!!!

I did it yesterday on my 2g and it is like new...:-D

That all cost me only 9,95€ and 3h work,

i think not bad for the fist time ...!!!

  • its funny because i broke my 1800 $ device during this video

  • 3 hours to chip it only to end up dropping it again lol

  • Nice shades, did they assist in the removal?

  • i was impressed that you didnt wreck the lcd

  • I need to buy one of those survival knifes so that I don't have to knock the bad guys with my IPhone. Cool accent! Ex KGB? Hard core video :D ,thumbs up.

  • this guy is an idiot you have to take the actual screen off the phone,

first, then remove the broken glass,

  • Use a heat gun or blow dryer to melt the glue first then pull it up with a suction cup, the knife is a really bad idea.

  • @brainslay3r does that work?

  • great chrome won't load the video

  • have you not att all scrachet the lcd??

  • Way too time consuming

  • Thanks for the great video. I'm going to try this next week but had a few questions. Isn't the digitizer attached to the back of the broken glass? How did you swap it over? Also the glue that you used was loctite (like the kind that is found in a car parts store)? I've read of people having intermittent problems with the glass not making contact with the LCD fully every few minutes and causing the touch not being recognized -- did you have any problems after the video?

  • swear you would of just scratched the hell out of your LCD?

  • this is so funny this is not how u change this screen take the back off

  • Take off those damn sunglasses!!!

  • macgruver!

  • will this work for iphone 3g and 3gs? thank you!

  • @facuiri

No, it's just for the original 2G iPhone... The 3G and 3Gs are far easier to replace the glass on...

  • dont do it i broke my iphone thanks a lot dick

  • @Polska1214 umm. if u tried to do this with ur 3G or 3GS than ur stupid,(no offence)

this is for the original, 1st GEN iPhone

  • @R1CKY995 no shit it wasn't a 3g fag

  • @Polska1214 was the 'fag' comment really necessary?

just shows how much of an asshole you are.

  • @R1CKY995 was the 'asshole' comment really necessary?

just shows how much of a dickhead you are.

  • @xx7BEAST was the 'dickhead' comment really necessary?

just shows how much of a smartass u are! :)

    haha

  • are u ok?

  • this video is a peice of shit

  • @IRusskie then you are a peice of shit...

  • why not just take it apart instead of ripping the screen off with a knife its faster and safer

  • @zpenguin65 you can't separate the lcd from the glass in no other way!

So if you take it apart it's just harder to do. Or change the whole LCD, digitizer and glass at once! IT'S NOT A 3G!!!!!

  • soo im pretty sure i just did it and the touch does not work...can anyone help?

  • please do not use this method! if you slip up ull mess up your lcd and u gotta pay more money. Please follow other methods of taking it apart then getting the glass out so you dont ruin your lcd.

  • @TheGamingFreek you can't separate the lcd from the glass in no other way!

So if you take it apart it's just harder to do. Or change the whole LCD, digitizer and glass at once! IT'S NOT A 3G!!!!!

  • @torninger87 missed that. yeah 3g u take it apart. i didnt realize that its a 2g. in that case keep following this video =)

  • In Russia if TV no work anymore, we beat the shit out of it till turns on.

  • Im thinking of buying a broken screen iphone too, but the seller says only half the screen works, do you think i can still use your method?

  • @HELLOTOMOROW1 if it displays only half, the lcd itself is broken. ergo: no way. you need a complete screen...

  • Im thinking of buying a broken screen iphone too, but the seller says only have the screen works? shpuld i do your way still?

  • u cunt have no idea what u doing

  • When I saw the other videos about 2G replacement I noticed frustration instead of mental focus. They took the phone apart first. I knew that was wrong. No Leverage!

    PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE!

    All others need not apply!

  • One "problem" to consider: when the new screen has been attached, it's not necessary 100% fit. I mean, at least for me, there are tiny tiny vertical holes (about 0,2mm) both side of the screen. It allows the dust come under the screen :/. So, it might be a good idea to fill both of those holes with something, like silicone?

  • I replaced my broken iPhone 2G thanks to this video SUCCESFULLY! All saying there "this doesn't work / fail / broke my screen thanks to you / bullshit!" are a bunch of retard noobs!

Take your time, be careful and this will 100% turn out well!

New screen + screen adhesive stickers from eBay = $6. Not a bad price in my opinion, when the digitizer replacement method costs around $100!

At least I'm very satisfied, so thank you very much for this! You made my iPhone 2G as a new one :)!

  • thanks so much for the video

  • lol id mess up my iphone if i did this. i dont have a steady hand

  • i cringed watchin this yikes

  • These people here know nothing,iPhone 2g glass.digitizer and LCD are all the one..iPhone 3g has seperate from LCD.This way works if ya have the patience to do it..and the glass comes off fine if ya use a hairdryer, heat gun or whatever like,

  • How did you manage not to scratch the LCD underneath?

  • haha fail, its broken at the end

  • @brian965 nope i'ts not...

  • imao!

  • Bloody hell! You just chiseled away at your Iphone are you crazy? one way not to fix the screen. Replace it by taking off the back next time.

  • @AllSportsUK you can't separate the lcd from the glass in no other way!

So if you take it apart it's just harder to do. Or change the whole LCD, digitizer and glass at once! IT'S NOT A 3G!!!!!

  • @torninger87 No at all. I've succesfully separated glass with digitizer from LCD, but I've had to destroy Digitizer and glass of course....

  • @torninger87 you can take about the screen from the digitizer. just use a hair dryer and heat up the double sided tape then it pulls right off. this is can fuck up your phone aha and im surprised it didnt do it to yours

  • @AllSportsUK

I agree with him when you take off the back its hard as fuck to get it back on..and you have to do wayy more shit. Like he said its not a 3g.

  • ma tua madre lo sa che ti droghi??

    translate

your mother knows that you take drugs??

  • i done that this way today

  • In Russia we use large steak knives as Q-tips to clean out our ears and to fix iPhones!

  • How to cut off your finger and mess up your iphone in one hour

  • How NOT to replace a iPhone 2G glass!

  • this must be a bad joke

  • use a suction cup it would have taken 30 seconds

  • On a 2G????!?!?!

    Yeah, right...

  • per tutti gli italiani questo non è un esempio da seguire

  • dont do it this way ur goin to fuck up ur lcd screen nd dis comment is for little kids cuz a smart person would not do it the fucking dum way duhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • this looks fucking dodgy...

  • there is fuckin tool for it dumbass

  • SO, THIS GUY IS LIKE MCGYBER

  • That looks like a strange thing to do.

  • this guy is a ding dong, hes doing it totally wrong, clearly not smart enough to do a little research online and its his second time!

  • I replaced glass of my iPhone 2G today. But i used blade, not knife to remove cracked glass. and I heated up glass with a soldering iron.

    Everything works okay!

  • completely wrong way

  • DON'T DO it!!!! If you will, you're going to hurt your iphone display that costs about 100$. I did mine.

  • I did mine today, exatcly like this dude + a hair dryer. Works perfectly, looks like new.

  • or you could just pry off the screen..? save a hell of a lot of time

  • dude u r doing it FUKING wrong way..u should haev damage ur touch screen while scraching knife on top of it..this is BULL SHIT..

dude go and learn first n then do it.

  • u fool pvpatel189 its not a 3g u fool it costs 70 £ to replace hes just done it for like 3 £ if he did break his lcd/dig it wouldnt matter anyway the replacement part is the glass/dig/lcd all glued together thats all they do and its for 70 £ all u people slaging this dude off relize 1 thing u might as well give it a go with the 2g cause the only things u can break is the dig/lcd which u have to get with the GLASS. know your phones people and stop being thick. this cat is very skillfull

  • DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! I tried doing this and completely broke my phone. I did everything very VERY slowly and carefully. Trust me, it's REALLY not worth your time.

  • and I think that I will use the other phone with the broken screen .. cause I dont want to make same failure again .. So I decide to sell my other Iphone 2G 8GB ...

  • by the way .. I have not used a knife cause Im too afraid that I get holes into the LCD ! I used a tweezer &a hair dryer to warm up the glue

  • hey.. how did you fix the new glass to the iphone? did you use superglue, rubber cement???? or did you just press it in?

  • this works i did it to mine and was able to sell it for 200 dollars and got the 3g!

  • nice glasses man, really adds to the whole experience

  • This guy is most patient !

I was thinking to do it but I decided not to do it

    its nightmare oh

its not 3g .. that is easy ..

  • Thanks for the video !

I ordered 2 Iphones with broken screen on ebay ..

I ordered 2 replacement screens ,too ..for "only" 4,50 EUR... I cant wait up till I receive these things.. and I really hope that I won´t fail...and that I dont make too much pressure on the screen..

  • @obamashoes2008 did u fix dem

  • @iblakoutJS : the 1 phone arrived here and it worked perfect with the broken screen! I got bored and I tryed to shatter the glas out of the display .. everything worked great ! ..but glas shattered around and then cause I wasnt concentrated the part where the"Slide2Unlock" "slider?" is broken :(..so I cant unlock the phone ..(the glas have not arrived yet , I hope that it will probably work if the new glas is on it )

  • it's scary to see the lcd turn blue if you pull on it

  • well I've watched 2 parts to bad you missed the gluing part but I can imagine that the process was quite difficult and you had your hands full neat work with the knife I would use razor but since it has worked out for you... Just tell me one thing was the new screan as durable as the orignal one?

  • are you in the meat company?

  • YO YO!! This shit actually works, but damn it takes alot of time and I left a minor hairline crack on the side of the screen because I put to much pressure .. but the shit does work!! Thank you!! You saved me alot of money!

  • Это работает!!! Стекло снял, примерно 2 часа с перерывами. Иду за супергелем и водкой!!! Надо отметить. Я не верил что получится. It works!!! Vodka. Connecting people

  • actually i got my glass today in the mail.i did exactly what he did..and i have a new screen fully function..just takes patience..

  • remove the case first? lol.. this is a guide on how to destroy ur iphone

  • where did you get that for $11.40??

  • there on ebay for 5$!

  • you should of used a heat gun or blow dryer it makes it much easier

  • This is posible to do, you just have to be vert carefull. I did it but I broke the LCD screen mistakes:

I bended the blade and put presure on the LCD.

  • I Just Destroy My Iphone Cause Of You

  • So you think it is my fault that you can't do this?

I would blame you if you don't succeed! Several other peoples can do this but if you suck, do not try this!

I can only show you how to do! So don't blame me if you are lost...

  • ar du fron sveirge?

  • Damn you're really hot

  • I know, I know..! ;)

  • your a fuking idiot you made me fuk up my whole phone

  • whos the idiot now HAHA

  • The bottom screen of my iphone is not working, does that mean I need a new screen or screen and digitizer? Plz help! Oh, I bought this ohone through ebay and the girl told me that she tried to unlock the phone and this screen problem happened :S

  • The bottom of my Is not working. Does that mean I need a new screen or Screen and digitizer?

  • just the sensor of ear

  • uhhh its dangerous...

  • Fixedd My iphonee

    £3 off ebay

Lightly used heat gun over the screen

and my glass was pretty badly cracked and came off in peices

if your thinking of doing this you might aswell because eitherway you only going to be loosing out on 5 quid

and will hae to pay 70 for a new screen in the end anyqay

  • can someone tell me what phone HE'S using

  • iphone 2g

  • lol what is this guy doing? nice try

  • thank you!

  • a very unconventional method of screen replacement but deffo a safer way

  • guys when you try to replace broken glass make sure you also need Glass Adhesive Glue. without this you can fix broken glass.

all over on ebay selling 6 bucks for glass but no one tell you to buy glue.

  • Yeah- are you shitting me? Scraping off glass glued onto an LCD screen? Forget it! Guess I should have watched this before buying just the glass. Anyone need one?

    (hahahaha)

    Flush.

  • i guess you don't have a penis

  • Yeah, actually, I do. It is used for better things than hurling insults.

...like, pissing on people like you.

    OFF-TOPIC.

  • It's discontinued, but you could check DealExtreme.

    sku.16101

  • I tried same way almost over 4 hours but I broke my digitizer. Finally bought $99,99 from eba. Becareful its not easy job.

  • Comment removed

  • Works best if you put a hairdryer of it for a few minutes to loosen the glue underneath the screen!

  • You could just buy a new digitizer also... costs about 5 bucks...

  • from where? send me the link

  • how gay are u?

  • almost everything can be solved with a big knife...

  • Okok, don't you get scratches all over the digitizer (first layer after the screen) from scraping it for HOURS with the knife?

Then do you (i) see those ugly scrapes through the screen from thereon in, and (ii) will the damn digitizer stop responding to touch cos you've scraped the hell out of it?

    Thanks.

  • ok i just fu#ked up my iphone.. while i was taking the glass off with a little scissor the lcd broke in an edge and cracked the before-perfectly-good-lcd... i even bought the ebay screen which now i wont use.. if your screen is broken DONT attempt to do it yourself. Glue is to strong (even using a damn hair dryer) and you will most likely brake the lcd. either you replace the whole lcd+screen thing or leave it that way and sell it as it is. Plus the ebay screen comes with no glue.

  • but how do you not scratsh the touchscreen while removing the glas??? that knife is way to big!..did it leave scratches?

  • vercinger stfu before i slap you you fuckin Denmark health car son of bitch we still get health car you fuck up but if you moved here they wouldn't give it you becuase your a fuckin know it all

  • GIVE BACK MY IPHONE!!!

  • Yep don't waist your time I just spent hours taking away the glass, and I fucked it!! I did buy a glass and it was stupid....I love the iphone bits just to sensitive

  • HOW IN THE WORLD do remove the digitizer?

  • holy CRAP there's some boy scouts out there fainting at the sight of this! I would only attempt this if you have health insurance and can afford a few stitches! This trick is all about... how much is your time worth. Definately use a hair dryer, you might also try a product called de-solveit which is the best sticker remover on earth and safe on all surfaces except leather/cloth. I would recommend a credit card, use a knife to sharpen the corners of it. Thanks for posting the video!

  • Who cares about health insurance? Oh.. wait.. You're American? ;)

  • YEP! If I slipped and jabbed the fuck out of my thumb--not only would I be out of work (repair tech needs his thumbs) but I'd be faced with about $2500 in out of pocket medical expenses depending on the severity.

  • :( Sounds sad.. lets hope Obama can turn that situation around so you won't have to worry about being broke just because you get injured.. I Denmark we go to the ER every 3rd day for funsies..

    *Dramatization, may not have happened*

Good luck with your new health care over there!

  • THANK YOU! It was time consuming and nerve racking but definitely worthwhile. I also used a hair drier set to HOT to soften the glue every few minutes. Worked a charm! In fact I removed the glass using a penknife before ordering a replacement just in case considering all the negative comments - but it worked, just took a little patience! It took about 2 hours to remove the glass. I cleaned the glue off with nail polish remover. Some glass splinters in my fingers though! Otherwise perfect!!

  • DONT I RUINED MY IPHONE DOING THIS!!!

  • wat do u mean how did u ruin it??? im abut to do this today.Cuz ima go nd buy a new screen well a plastic screen nd scrape off the craked up parts

  • this guys fucking stupid

  • I like this method, I'll be doing this soon.

    Thanks for the post.

  • The run doun of this video --4 minutes of picking little glass pieces off the phone and 1 minute of suposedly sticking on a new stickon piese of glass

  • when you put the new sreen on do you glue it?

  • no it comes with a sticky thing

  • Talking from experience, there's like a 2% chance of separating the crystal from the LCD / digitizer witout damaging the LCD.

That guy is really skillful or knows something that I don't.

  • It works - I've just repaired my 2g phone for $12. It looks like new. To remove the glass took a bit of patience some finger cramps and around 2 hours. I followed his instruction exactly using a knife similar to his but I did the hair drier thing too, it made it much easier.

  • You have maybe less than 10% chance of "succeeding"... Here is a better option sell your cracked iphone on ebay spend a few more $ZS on a second hand iphone...Get 100% peace of mind

  • Doesn't the lcd get all scratched up in the process??!!!!

  • hm... no heatgun at home?!?!

on scratch and ur iphone is done -.-

and now u can win it because u can just use half of the touchscreen...

dude, spend 30 bugs and u have a glued digitizer, much more easy, i can do this with eyes closed, so i wouldn't even have to wear some stupid sunglasses at home 8)

  • That is just painful to watch!

  • If you heat it up it, it would prolly work a lil easier lol
