Actually, more recent scientific studies have concluded that raising food/water dishes doesn't prevent bloat at all. However, small meals and no strenuous activity before/after eating are both still good. :) (Researched this myself and had verified by my vet. I have a great dane too.)
You are not suppose to let your Dane eat off the ground their stomic can roll over and they can die. i know this because i have a great dane and if u dont know that u shouldn't have one
@Lonestarry- Thanks. This is not our house and we fed them in the garage to limit the mess. They live in the house with us.
