@9OH4loridaChico Everytime I play the piano something she has played, like some of the Chopin préludes, Schuman Kinderszenen or the theme from Chopin concerto, I always tell myself, that I shouldn't play anything... I mean, those are things I'm able to play technically, but her expression... I always find my playing so heavy-footed :-) And her soo beautiful :-)
Paganini of pianoforte...!!! GENIUS MASTER !!!! besides her level of other planetary technique ....she has something else , that other pianists couldn't get by endless periods of practicing ... And Rostropovich...LEGEND ! close friend of Prokofiev..nice to see him as a conductor , RIP...
This is simply gorgeous!!! Thanks to Youtube, Internet and of course you, honekawasujiemon, we have access to this invaluable document. Thank you so much for posting this.
@Ellinidara Prokofiev is the one who's not human lol. he's the genius. but this lady is very very very talented! over ten fold of what i could ever hope to do in my life
@juble3 Martha is also a genius. Don't deny that. It takes a lot to go THAT fast and play with out flaw. Martha actually uses less fingers then written. She makes it harder to play because she amazing. Plus she speaks like 8 languages. Such feeling she plays with! Greatest pianist in the world!
@debussyfreak hahah, i feel you man. I don’t deny her talent. she’s amazing! 8 languages is no feat to laugh at either. She is totally awesome! I was just trying to say that prokofiev should get some credit for hearing this all in his head and composing it
I used not to like Prokofiev very much, before I heard this.

Much better performance by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, with Daniele Gatti and Yuja Wang!

Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra conducted by Daniele Gatti
Yuja Wang, piano
Sergei Prokofjev: Pianoconcert nr.3 op.26

she looks beautiful and sexay here but i wonder why in chopin concerto video 1996 she looks much more older? camera problem perhaps? :/
partitasa89 1 year ago
@partitasa89 She looks beauty because in this concert she is more young. In 1996 she is 55 years old and not in good health
