  • Fantastic song, real pearl from the Boss.

  • i totally LOVE the guitar at 4:40 and further

  • no one can beat the BOSS

  • Always loved the world music intro then it goes into high gear.

  • Have always loved the Boss and he just gets better. This is my favorite album. Just fucking full of feeling and truth.

  • wow

  • btw..as much as i love the Boss's music...i don't agree with suicide bombers, tho he does make a great statement against them in 'paradise'..sorry, i just don't agree with anything that causes lives to be lost in such an insidious manner..

  • That is a slogan we should all adopt.."let's let love give what it gives"...Boss Man, you are truly a gift..

  • Awesome!!!

  • Powerful song. Thank you Bruce for this wonderful song.

  • Is this the song that's supposed to be about the suicide bomber?

  • @Hister333 i believe the song you are thinking of is paradise, it is on the same album...

  • @bunkieb00 Sweet. Thanks.

  • this song stinks on Sting's world music. shouldn't be on album, just like let's be friends.

  • I love this song!

    PEACE

  • it might be the most unique springsteen song of all time.

  • I luv this sounds like he mixed his music with Qawali music.

  • Great track...

  • Beautiful! Just when I think I know Bruce's music, he surprises me, completely blows me away.

  • he played wrecking ball at the concert i went to nov 10 it was awesome

  • Well let blood build a bridge = We'll let love build a bridge

  • The music is more Pakistani & Indian in origin, its a fusion between western & Southeastern music.

  • I like this,...=)

  • I like you,..

  • I read that this song is about a relationship between a man from the west and a woman from very traditional mideast roots,a romeo & juliet of sorts.Very cool sound, something different from Bruce

  • The song features middle eastern music, not Native-American. Fired up to kill Terrorists? This is a song for peace, bringing worlds together. Listen to it.

  • @MegaAldoN: The singer in the backgroud a Pakistani Qawwal (type of folk music). He holds the Guiness book of world records title for the highest number of qawwali albums released (125). The music at the start is a fusion of the western and the subcontinental music.. Its brilliant the way it has been fused. its simply a matter of good talent.

  • @Excallaber1 You have completely missed the point of the song. It is a song of tolerance, recognising difference of cultures and a hope for a fusion of those cultures. He is standing against the Islamic prejudice in the aftermath of 9/11.

  • just amazing :D the boss <3

  • simplemente....BOSS!

  • i've been a fan for atleast 30 years and i think this has got to be one of his best works of art ever. if u like his music, GO SEE HIM LIVE!

  • BRRUUUUCCEEE!!!!!! lol

  • I did. damn. it's not simply a band live... seeing E.Street band live is like hearing the voices of the Gods ...

  • <3 it gives me shivers...

  • The first time I heard this song I asked if it was from the Lion King, but then I was hypnotized by it's absolute brilliance, power, and beauty. It's tough being the only kid in your school who appreciates that glory that is Bruce Springsteen.

  • same here. especially when someone discovers you were on the same concert as you classmates mother

  • Ouch. At least his/her mother has good taste.

  • Always liked this song, ever since my dad first put it on the car stereo, when I was about 10!

  • Empty Sky, Worlds Apart, Nothing Man: A trifecta of brilliance.

  • dont forget The River!

  • right but we was naming songs off the rising ... personally i believe the whole rising album to be pretty much as perfect as it gets

though yeah the river is a great song and a great album - it's bruce afterall

  • great song...

  • What a song!

  • omg i'm from croatia and i have the same problems. i try to explain to my stupid friends that bruce is the best but they can't figure it out

  • What an amazing song like seriously. Im a huge fan of Black Metal, and am usually really closed minded about stuff, but I just cant deny, this song is simply brilliant.

  • amazing

  • i 100% agree with emptysky!!!!

no one at school knows how important he is to me

i memorized thunder road when i was first able to speak

and now hes just so amazing

i lvoe him with all my heart

and everyone at school knows me as that girl who loves bruce and writes his lyrics on her binder

now, this isnt one of my favorite songs

but it is great none the less

i suggest u listen to lsot in the flood

    its amazing!!!

  • come to our school, we need more people like you! its hard being an outcast musically like this huh?

  • absolutely! actually, today, i was talking about his song "wrecking ball" which he sang and wrote for the closing of giants stadium. and me and this girl next to me got into this WHOLE discussion about it. and she said he was "too old to write msuic" and i almsot strangled her. luckily half the class agreeed with me (: i lvoee him sooo much its not even funny.

  • wrecking ball is fantastic, and I think it would sound even better acoustically.

  • absolutely! i would love to hear it acoustic, it would be beautiful

  • he played it at the spectrum for the last show there too it was awesome!

  • @2pacbiggie4334 may I come? I live in a area that is just pure metal and Pure Rap only. I am seriously the only one who likes Bruce anymore. I got some middle ground with The Gaslight Anthem, a couple people like them.

  • lol croton is open to all who want to be there. But it is a fairly boring town

  • I used to listen to a lot of hip hop but now i only really just listen to bruce and some other rock stuff,.

  • no one gets how special this man is to me. He's my insperation. People in my school say "Oh he's not cool" or "His music sucks" when they listen to rap.

I just wanna beat them up for saying that.

    This man is awsome

He was my first love when I was 3

    Go Bruce

  • iknow exactly how you feel.

i trie to get my friend to listen to the river

    and she hated it!!

  • she has NO taste then

  • i know!!!!

    haha

    yah she listens to like

PCD and girlicious and lady ga-gag!!!

  • or as I say

    Lady Gag

  • im right there with you

  • They probley never grew up with his music like most young people who like him....

  • may the living let us in, before the dead tear us apart

  • This song makes me feel alive... I love this album.

  • This song is...increible. I love it.

    Bruce for ever.

  • :):):):)

  • u wasta smily person

    kisses

  • this album is amazing.

I used to live in NYC and on Sept 11th I seen the smoke as black as black could get from my class and thought I'd die. Then a few months later, this comes out and really changed me. Once you got though something like that, you change

    I love this man

  • very nice. I love Bruce and him poetic songs :)

  • I want to know te effects used by the guitarist...

  • very interesting theme, and some great drumming!
