Though Goethe said that poetry was the best way of experimenting with form and Schiller wrote an essay about the importance of aesthetic humanism (the importance of aesthetic evolution of mankind in order to socially evolve as well) both mastered Sturm und Drang drama (at that epoch, the leading issue was to unificate Germany by means of a national theather).
