georgia and the ukraine have the right to decide if they want to join NATO

poland and the czech republic have the right to decide if they want a missile system on their soil

south osetia has the right to decide if wants out of georgia and into russia

chechnya has the right to leave russia

georgia should stay out of south osetia and russia should stay out of georgia.

russia is essentially a third world dictatorship having a hard time accepting that it's days of empire are over

The unstated facts:

1. USA intelligence did not pick up the Georgian intent to assualt Ossetia; most telling- considering that it had 120 military personnel in Georgia.

2. Russian intelligence did pick up the Georgian intent as evidenced by its pre-positioning of troops under a military exercise a minimum of THIRTY days prior to the thursday Georgian assualt.

3. Communications breakdown between USA/EU and Georgia.
