Besides the Ravens best thing going on Balt these days is Morgan St hoops. 2 straight NCAA tourney appearances & a coach back on the rise in (46 yr old) Todd Bozeman. I'm surprised more & more big name schools didn't go after him. He won't be at MSU too much longer. He'll get nabbed by a big school for sure.
well just to be fair we did go after joe girardi but he signed with the yankees prolly for sentimental reasons since he played on their 90's world series teams
Then the orioles well they were the most winnings team in the MLB before steroids from 1960 to 1983 after the 1893 world series The Baltimore Orioles had 108 game lead over the yankees they were second behind us in the same time span imagine that and at the time they were own by Mr. Jerry Hoffberger
who own a brewery and was quoted in a book he only bought the baseball team so he could sell his beer. imagine that he did not care if it won or lost and he own the best club ever.
Well as for the colts they were the most winnings pro football team from 1958 to 1971 over 74% winning percentage
Then bob irsay comes along 1972 and they went from dominance to door mats and that is were they stayed until that old P.O.S. died and he never seen them do shit see their is A God and justice was served.
We would have gone to Baltimore with a 2-0 advantage, thats a pretty big momentum changer, going home 2-0 in a best of 7 is much better than 1-1. We wouldn't have had to go back to Yankee Stadium.
Times can be rough but you know what, the Orioles are my team and one day they are going to win the World Series and I can take pride in the fact that I was a fan during the roughest of times as well as the best.
then it will be a bandwagon explosion just like the Red Sox. This current Sox wagon is second only to the Bulls bandwagon of the 90's in my opinion. Where did all those fans go anyway ha?
I dont see housewives, old men, kids or anyone wearing Bulls gear. I havent since about 98 or so. Its all Cavs now. I live in Pennsylvania, maybe thats why.
Pretty much right on, left out Jon Miller obviously, Mike Musina, farm system collapse, alineation of the fans, ticket pricing (have you seen it for this year, it is as if we won the freakin division) for a last place team one of the worst in baseball, real high ticket pricing.
the O's have no directions whatsoever. every year is a "rebuilding year". and they're not even lovable losers! at least Ben McDonald, Leo Gomez, Gregg Olson, Todd Frohwirth, et al. are guys you want to root for. oh well. (you can see i stop following them after Jim Miller left!!)
Who is Jim Miller? I know a Jon Miller (best announcer in baseball) who was shown the door by Peter the Ingrate. What a joke the orioles are. 10 straight losing seasons, the illegal drugs, crappy owner..... cant get much worse, but i'm loving it. what a disgraceful organization.
The Ravens did win a super bowl in 2001, so not all hope is lost. I don't know that I would describe Baltimore sports desperate at this point. Baseball is pretty disappointing, but the Ravens were a vastly underperforming team this year that will only improve in the next few seasons with a new coach at the helm.
I'm a Chargers\Padres from fan from San Diego. We've gone through our many bouts of poor ownership and management. Hang in there. Don't be like so many of the fair weather fans here in San Diego. Best of luck.
Jeffrey Maier will get his ass kicked in the state of Maryland.

Then comes along EB Willians who sells out to Peter (bob irsay) Angelos
who wants top dollar for a pro team who could not beat a local high school baseball team just like his daddy bob irsay.

Like Jeffery maier had ANYTHING to do with the quality of your sports teams. Turasco wouldve mucked the catch and it probly wouldve been a triple
