am i the only one who saw Anastasia in this movie? Royal princess separated from family. noticed a resemblance but never thought herself to be royal. Thief/ con artist takes a possession of the princesses (the crown/ music box). then he meets her. brings her together with her family. they end up together.

@102936 i read an article where disney stated they wanted to market this movie more with flynn because they wanted boys to be interested too..which is baloney, all about the money. The movie was actually named Rapunzel, but then to make it less girly they changed it to Tangled.

As for the cuts, that's what happens in post production, I've seen a film trailer that included scenes of the alternate ending rather than the actual ending.

Same reason why they launched Disney XD and bought out Marvel. Disney doesn't have a problem getting girl audiences, because Disney is associated with the princess franchise, and most little girls love princesses. But most little boys, given the choice, wouldn't want to see a princess movie.

@stereosound321 I was kind of upset about the missing scenes too, but there is a legit reason why they focused the trailer on Flynn - after the box office failure of Princess and the Frog, Disney determined that one of the reasons was that boys didn't want to see another princess movie - so they lost a lot of potential sales. In order to appeal to a male audience as well as female, Disney changed the title of THIS movie from "Rapunzel" to "Tangled" and focused a lot on Flynn in the trailers :)
