  • very nice song but tabla's tuning is wrong

  • go 2 timing 1:45. The tabla player had it tuned perfect and then had to understrike and went out of tune.

  • I see it as a very good sense of humor of MANNA DEY!

  • I don't get why there is so much of a fuss about this. Both of them tried hard to make it good. First of all the song itself is one of the hardest song to perform live, second, when the tune and tempo are not right then the overall job will become even harder. Don't try to see it as someone's fault but try to understand how hard both of them have been trying. The legendary singer Mannada tried to assist the Tabla player the whole time but I guess, the Tabla player was little nervous, that's all.

  • being in the field of music ourselves... being the wife of a tabla player... i can say that it's not easy to tune a tabla, it takes time... and if the singer puts pressure on the tabla player to tune it as fast as he can... then i'm sorry to say that he is not an artist!!!!! I was not expecting this from a singer like mannadey.... Shame!!!

  • there is something in conversation can somebody translate what is being said

  • Tabla alar matha kharap

  • THE TABLA PLAYER CANT PLAY TABLA. IF I WAS WAS PLAYING FOR MANNADEY I WOULD HAVE DONE A MUCH BETTER JOB

  • WOW

  • Tuning a tabla is hard especially to a guys voice. The crowd is laughing and they have no clue how hard it is. Looks like Manna Dey has some anger problems because hes acting like a puffed up bastard.

  • @austinsemeta :-Mind Your Words !Do you even know who manna dey is!!And what right you have to say anything to that man!!He has proved how great he is through his songs!!So keep yopur mouth shut you Pumkin headed assol!!

  • @austinsemeta Manna Dey is a great singer. Being as profesional as manna dey he expects the tabla player to know how to tune the tabla. so you cant say anything about manna dey unless you were in the situation yourself.

  • @Derren82 the player knows how to tune it...it just that he had to change the pitch by several notes. That takes time and is not a 1 minute process.

  • @KillinDaWelfareMCs i understand where you're getting at, but he was also playing the wrong Taal also. He could of atleast played good to make up for his tuning...

  • This sort of things happens in concerts. The tabla player is trying his best to accompany this great man. It is obvious that Manna Dey understands this and trying to manage the situation and he even tried to help by showing the tempo.

I find this video disturbing because someone found it entertaining and posted it! Obviously this guy is not interested in music because not only he is talking during this performance, he is talking about recordining it because it is funny. He should be ashamed!

  • MANNA DEY IS A GREAT SINGER

  • great singer with a tablabadak

  • SAAJ NAARAZ HO TO USE MANANA JAROORI HOTA HAI LEKIN AGAR NA MANE TO USSE JYADDATI NAHEE KARNI CHAHIYE .....! MANNA DA TIMING KE VAJAHSE NARAZ HUE RAHENGE DIL PE MAT LENA , WO BADE FANKAR HAI AUR AAP BADE SAJOKAR HAIN!

  • In this video the audience is not worthy of manna baba(as his older daughter n myself have studied in the same school in Bombay) no way the age factor can ever affect the SPRIT N SOUL of a performer(aspointed by@dindin010).Only that the listeners should have IT in them......How can they not understand the state of a true performer.Once a true artist is disturbed then it is extremely difficult for him to perform, let anyone say whatever Manna Baba aap ko mera shat-shat pranam.............!!!!!!!!!

  • tabla player not playing on correct beat he trying so hard to give the correct "Taal" and even Manna Dey ji clapping and trying to correct the tabla player but the tabla player doesn't know what is the actual beat of this song.

  • Falaia Daw tabla tomer....lolz :D

  • @musafiruk what does that mean?

  • @RahoolTabla79 ... Manna Dey..just got angry with the stupid Tabla man...he said through away ur Tabla...lolz

  • Manna Dey is 1 of the greatest Indian Playback singer ever .no 2 words abt it...but he can also be a bit intimidating & not much endearing...not like the ever-smiling Rafi saab, ever-humble Mukeshji or ever-cheerful & jolly Kishoreda..If this had happened with 1 of they'd have been more gracious abt it... Rafi saab or Mukeshji would've smiled or ignored it & gone on singing and Kishoreda probably would've cracked a few well-placed jokes & sent the audience in to hysterics..

  • I say this with all do respect. Manna dey ji should have known better to take a tabla player who he has played with before and someone who he is comfortable with. It seems like this was his first time accompnying the maestro and i dont blame him at all. He has limitations. One can never cut corners for tabla player, especially manna dey ji. This situation could have been avoided if he had chosen a tabla who has accompanied him before, and in which this type of situation did not arise.

  • It's true that a person must be prepared with tabla before coming to the show. It is very disaapointing one to have so many of Tablas and not a single one is tuned properly . Minor adjustments are required some time but it should not take so much time...

After the song has started one should not experiment with the tabla...

On the contrary the speed (Loy) was going high...

  • @debangshu1986 After 10 minutes due to the room conditions the tabla tune can change unless the tension is released so you always have to tune a tabla

  • We should keep our respect towards one of legends of Bharotio (specially Baangla) Music; he contributed his entire life to entertain us our Fore Fathers; he is not PAGLAA nor a Dis-tuned Ustaad, rather he is disturbed due to this unprofessional and insincere Tabla Musician; this Idiot tabalchi should have carefully thought that we was going to play with the only living Legend- he made Manna Dey totally lost. My Pronam Tomai Guru Manna Jee and Saalam. LOL to all Music Lovers- WW. MHRP-KSA

  • thoda badhta hai :)) :))

  • lol u guys thought it was so funny

  • there is a time and place for the instruments to be tuned.

anyone worth his salt should be prepared for all eventuality before going to perform e.g. take spare/extra items. or have the talent to improvise, but this tablachi looks he's on the beetlejuice.

why is on mana ji's team only god know

  • honestly said mannadey shall stop singing now.his gana is now coming directly out of a chiller...thanda..barf.look at the original film song (dil hi tau hai) a song of superlatives and this present 'laga chunri mein dagh'...i think mannadey got a bigger 'dagh' on his vest then the poor chunri with this song.

  • what does he say can some translate plz?

  • ok its one thing to have trouble tuning, its not easy...but to start of playin the wrong theka..the wrong taal on top of that....i dont blame him too much though, i'd be way nervous

  • WHAT DID HE SAY? I CAN'T UNDERSTND ...IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN TRANSLATE IT FOR ME...PLEASE....

  • sounds like a birthday party++++++++++++++

  • Its not been that long time, i m learning tabla, but I think that the percussionist must know who he is accompanying n must have an idea of what is expected by the lead artist. He can use previous recordings n other sources to cross check himself with the compositions which r to be presented.

But on the other hand, with all due respect to Manna da, it is the moral duty of lead artist to try to undertake and fade the odds. I remember Ustad Bismillah Khan Sahab doing the same at all odd times.

  • When you are with Masters, you have to be at their level...else take a back seat...!!! Did you see he doesnt even need Harmonium or tabla to sing.. Great Singer.. Great Man

  • @ramils mannadey WAS a great singer. Here he sucks...even his swar is falling short and all the "juice" is gone from his voice since long...the old man shall retire.

  • this is the fault of the organizers they should have borught real good tablest and not make fun of such a great singer too sad

  • lol like thirty minutes before i watched this video i was trying to tune my tabla. its hard as shit

  • manna ji ! kam se kam mike band karke daaanto naa ;)

  • Even I feel when one is to play tabla with Mannada he should be aware of his range and arrange accordingly.Mannada all time great singer.

  • such a pathetic tabla wadak man....!! running out of beat from the starting. who asked him 2 ply with the legend??

  • wat a great dis is only reare time

  • Hahahahhahahhaa the tuning sounds like he was playing a sort of solo there. New aspect of tabla. How to play with tuning hammer

  • @sonofthedestroyer Funny you say that. Once Ravi Shankar, Ali Akbar Khan, and Alla Rakkha were tuning their instruments. The audience thought that it was the actual performance. Then Ravi Shankar said something along the lines of "if you liked the tuning, you'll really the performance."

Also R.D. Burman used a tabla hammer to play the small drum (dayan) in the song "muttu kori kawadi hada." :-)

  • He just takes his own time cause he's playing with a legend and knows he should b perfect in every way to assist him. Iam a prof. singer & realize how difficult it is 2 b on stage with celebrities. The tabla player has his own place regardless of who he is accompanying. Legends also must keep in mind that fellow artists on stage still have time to reach where they are or maybe a step ahead from them in future.

  • do they try to take indian music to the next level ? :))

  • My mom absolutely loves this man....a true genius!!!

  • @drunkandangry

i had the rare fortune of playing keyboards with him once - not only is he living singing legend, he is extremely funny and witty man!

  • Really funny indeed! Ha Ha /Ha

  • This man who's playing with Manna Dey here is not a professional tabla player, but a "shishya" of his, possibly the greatest fan of Manna Dey. The sweet little scolds were just to fill in the gap and if you know Bengali, you will know from what he says and his tone that he's just amused with his shishya's tuning. Strohyt above is right! I was there in the hall, and the whole atmosphere was very funny and amusing.

  • Sometime it happens, Actually Manna dey is very perfectionist.and to the point man.But the behaviours of backbround people are pathetic

  • people in the background are talking and laughing through and through. THEY ALL ARE SO RUUUUDE.

wondering what planate they are from?

thats the only which seems extremely WRONG in this video.

  • @Chhayavad Dude...he is joking with the audience and also the tabalchi....he didn't scold him. He also acknowledged the fault in the Tabla and said him to throw it away....lolz

  • @Chhayavad they are not rude mate.... manna dey is not only a great singer but has a good sense of humor!!! he just telling the tabla guy to make it sound good in a sarcastic way.... didnt u see him smile... that was for the audience...

  • @koolasucas619 apnar chokhe asambhab bhokti tai apni manna dey r mukhe hasi dekhte peyechen....he was extremely rude ....he may be a great singer ....but this is symbol of a specific musical tradition....where vocalist is the boss ......it is his show...his performance.....

  • Comment removed

  • mister Manna is just joking lol , he sang so many years with this tabla player , but most vieuwers dont know so think Manna is angry.... but truly he just trying to make audience laugh with styling :P

  • he's just old...who the hell is gonna tell Manna Dey how to act dude? but i would have been u[set also, this is what they do day in and day out, they should atleast be able to follow the singer.

  • things happens but messing up things.....inability to follow the singer.... not a good thing..... every single tabalchi cannot play with him. at least he should be accompanied be the best once..... breaking concentration in a live program is the worst situation for a singer.

  • Can someone kindly translate the conversation....?.

It is so nice, natural and touching to music lovers..

    Love from

    Osho

  • I am not a tabla player and not even close to performing arts any way!! I guess I dont have right to comment on anyone's skills..

But its not an issue of lack of skills here..

Its about showing respect to other human being.. I agree that Manna dey, must be a legand in his own right.. And may be I wont reach to his class anyday.. But if he was a man of golden heart and real spirit he should have not commented on tabalji's mistake publically.

  • I am a tabla player and I can tell you it's not easy to tune a tabla in certain conditions ( moisture ,humidity etc ...) so don't be cruel with our tabalchi ,

  • Comment removed

  • i also understand

    but yaar kuch samjo

  • @ghaneshyam you are right dear but this tabalchi is extra stupid.simply mota dimagh...just a tabalchi not a tabla-wadan or tabla-nawaz.

  • @ghaneshyam I agree with you dude...this song I have listen closely and Manna day is not singing properly and he is showing unnecessary anger on Tabla Man. He is playing correctly....but what happened to Manna dey I am his big fan...watching this performance disappointed me a bit...may be age factor.

  • @ghaneshyam @ghaneshyam I agree with you dude...this song I have listen closely and Manna day is not singing properly and he is showing unnecessary anger on Tabla Man. He is playing correctly....but what happened to Manna dey I am his big fan...watching this performance disappointed me a bit...may be age factor.

  • @ghaneshyam

come on, yes it is not easy to tune a tabla but you can't be so unprepared before the stage that you take such a long to tune it and make the singer wait. don't you see it???

  • @ghaneshyam

It really disheartens when we go to help and we in turn receive insult

  • @ghaneshyam if u r a tabla player then u should know your ability and also should whom r u playing with otherwise don't bring your stuff on stage...

  • hey isn't it the main artist's responsibility to see whether the accompanist are fit for his/her performance? Manna dey should have known better. it's his image end of the day. not the Tablist's.

  • A good artist such as Mr Dey, should be gracious to all, especially the musicians who support him. Instead of making unkind remarks, it would have been gracious of Mr Dey to acknowledge the intricacies of tuning a tabla. These tuning difficulties could for instance simply be due to environmental conditions and beyond the tabalchis control.

  • absolutely hilarious!!!!!!!!

  • laga table main daag chupaun kaise???

  • Pathetic and ORDINARY TABLA GUY. Doesnot know to follow the singer.

  • Seriously, he needs to learn how to tune his Tabla likes Professionals and masters do.

  • @Balraj50 I agree. When I first saw this video, I thought Manna Dey was acting very unreasonable. But it has been brought to my attention that Manna Saab has played with this Tabaljee before, and he is only trying to make the atmosphere light and humorous. The Tabla player should have been better prepared though. It shouldn't be that difficult to tune up a Tabla to a specific note, unless the Tabla is of low quality of course. What exactly is Manna Saab saying?

  • da tabla guy is hopeless..

and widjaijitansadal What the hell is wrong with u?? "It actually Manna deys fault"..

why THE HELL is it he'z fault? it isn't his responsibility 2 check da tabla..

WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ALL FEELING SORRY 4 THE MEDIOCRE tabla man.. he'z some little insignificant piece of crap.. esp in front of Manna Dey.. and if he'z ne good nd has experience.. den wth is dis shit he'z done??

  • In one of the Savai Gandharva Festivals of Pune I saw one great singer getting annoyed on another veteral harmonium player once. And in the same festival (now Bharatratna) Pt Bhimsenji Joshi's accompanying harmonium player also made a mistake once. But undeterred Panditji continued as if he did not even notice.

  • In yet another concert panditji's tabla player, trying his acrobatics lost the count and stopped. Panditji continued his taans to let him catch on to the 'sama'. It is pleasure to watch such great maestros

  • widjaijitansadal is the tabla player in the video......LOL

  • yea right.. u serius? lol

no big deal man dis whole thing shd be a laugh.. nuttin to worry abt.

panditji is a very calm and patient man..

manna dey is a very 'to the point' man.

    so either way.. nuttin big.

  • @hismajesty653

exactly...two different geniuses with different mind-sets....think of raphael and michaelangelo...two geniuses with entirely different attitudes

  • mannadey is legend..

  • mr.munna dey PLZ hav respect for yr accompanists at least, u wont be able to do without them. am pretty sure u may not be paying them enough.

  • Before you thought for this response have you checked if you already know or have asked your father oooooooops your grandfather how legendary is Manna Dey and the idiot, tabla payer was he was not thought that at the performance stage every thing should be ready , and he was blessed to play with great singer , and not only once but more than 5 times he requested to be quiet ... but the tabalchi seams to be deaf.

  • @amandelhi92

deaf, blind and a total dork tabalchi !

  • cont...so pls sirjudaji stop talking shit!

    everybody makes mistakes!!

but also u were right u said :''lack of professionalismif'' and were right!

It was a lack of Manna's professionlism!

  • well......i think ur the one who made such kind of mistakes to often.....I dont want to argue with you...."Mana dey did the right thing"......also should have kicked them out of the show...i think u were one of them ...LOL

  • wuhahahah you dont want to argue with me because youre arguments are like shit!!! but as i said what goes around comes around XD...

and Manna dey did the wrong thing.. this is were u made the mistake...

but anyways youre way below my lvl ROFL

Like i said u were right u said :''lack of professionalismif'' and were right!

It was a lack of Manna's professionlism!

  • haha......a new kid in the block.......I can see from your vocab that u have just learnt these words......[shit,ROFL].....just one word for you GROW UP.....u r nothing more than a moron to me......like u ur arguments are nothing more than a nonsense......so dont worry if i dont reply u back....just assume that they lack logic and sense... :)

  • wuhaahha shame on u discusing with a boy of 15-years!! XD You are a big failure u dont replay on what i said you only reply on who i am.. when u reply..you never respond 2 my arguments because u have nothing to bring in..

and pls do not reply because ure just talking bull shit!!

and yes my english is a bad but i am just a kid still learning so dont worry abaut my english

  • haha...thts called frustration....yeah ur kid...though metally....phyically ur 28 yrs old...right.......in other words ur mentally retarded....LOL.......whats there to respond to ur comments...u only know word "shit"..and ref to other people comments.....and yes u have leant a new one to bullshit..isn;t that funny that a 28 yr old kid is learning to fast....LOL.....there is english beyond shit and bullshit...:)....

  • I think he/she has a point.. it actually is Manna deys fault he should have tested the instruments....and btw leave others alone dude serieusly are u mentaly ill??

  • who the hell r u.??????..r u the other musician LOL..ur telling me to leave her alone.....why the hell u dont leave me alone????...typical case of desi indian....giving other advices....teri_____fill the blanks :)

  • you are pathetic

very pathetic always wants to get the last word well bro dont mind if i am not responding to youre ''crap'' they just lack intelligence...youre a typical case of a '' Koeli'' if you want to know what it means use google..if u know how it works... C ya..God bless

  • The legend has a brilliant sense of humour

  • who is talking abaut kishore..?

if your personal favourite is kishore then so be it big deal lol?

i never said he was'nt a good singer...

    so why are you offended....

You may think kishore is the best artist

i disagree i dont think there is a best artist evrybody was good in their own style. my personal favourite is Mukesh but i am not saying that he is the best lol.. And who am I to jugde who the singer was..and who are you to jugde...And why do you think kishore owend evry artist?

  • Comment removed

  • This is the diffrent between Mukesh Mohd.Rafi and Manna dey.

Why would he say all those things when the mic is still on man Manna dey does injustice to humanity. It is all politics when he says he adores rafi if you cant beat the best join them -_- Manna dey was jalous of rafi and mukesh

Manna's Uncle prefered Rafi before Manna himself,

Mukesh had full monopoly on raj kapoor and Manna dey wanted that monopoly..

His maners are bad but ineed he is a legend and a legend should be honored.

  • Comment removed

  • I will tell u why .........lack of professionalismif it had been any other singer he would have done the same thing.I have seen singers leaving the stage..if youre not prepared dont come to the stage....look at the music crewnone of them know what they are doing..

  • ...They made a mistake...

...Evrybody could have make a mistake like that...

why didn''t manna dey help him to tune his tabla...?? because he is 2 big for that? mistakes happen in live...

but indeed he is a legend and a legend should be honored.

  • no......stupid mistake cant be tolerated....manna dey was not sitting with some 5 yr old kid.....

  • quote : didin010 it has nothing to do with disrespect towards manna. A professional musician would aim to have a perfect pitch match between the instruments used in a concert. So in that case, Manna should have taken some time to tune the instruments. Well, you are right about tuning the tabla's before playing. But eventually the tabla will go offtune when its not played for a while(5 min..) or if its moved to another area/room. Conclusion: manna's fault.

  • dont qoute others shit......u ur own brain....

  • this was the only correct anwser my frend... but i forgive you for not seeing.. (--- this were you made another mistake---)

  • correct answer....O I didnt know that i was in some kind of exam.....LOL...your english is pathetic....

  • That tabla player was absolutely clueless. How irritating! A legend like Manna Dey has every right to be annoyed.

  • Guy's ... As our friend tunes the Tabla ... do check out my attempt at the song... Aye meri Zohra Jabeen.. Regards, Jaan..

  • As a tablaplayer i know how irritating it is when a tabla if offtune.

I admit that the tablaplayer should have listened more carefully to the singer.

Overall: an experienced vocalist like mister Manna Dey shouldnt have gone that mad. Its a humiliation for all the musicians on stage (inc. Manna Dey)

  • He should have tuned the tablas before Manna Dey came on stage!!

That's the least he could do... I understand not being able to keep the pace right...happens...

but dude! Its a live MANNA DEY concert!!

Its a disrespect to keep him waiting on stage....

  • it has nothing to do with disrespect towards manna.

  • @dindin010 I agree with you, but when a musician is accompanying a seasoned singer like Manna De, he should be well prepared and a bit extra careful for the event, I believe this incident was in Gujarat most probably in Ahmedabad

  • @dindin010 @ghaneshyam I agree with you dude...this song I have listen closely and Manna day is not singing properly and he is showing unnecessary anger on Tabla Man. He is playing correctly....but what happened to Manna dey I am his big fan...watching this performance disappointed me a bit...may be age factor.

  • tabla man seems psycho..

  • What did he real say to the Tabla plyaer?

    lol

  • yeah it was funny and long, as it is in bengali neighborhood i think that's why he was very casual. also it doesn't take so long to tune the tablo so it really is funny.

  • How many concerts have u played tabla at again, pearl1729?

    ...dumbass...

  • some, why ? were u the tabla player ? u pissed off no ? it's normal.

dumbasses piss off very quickly. i said the way tabla player taking time to tune or problems on tabla made it funny as manna dey was reacting.

    u can't udnerstand it ? then u r dumbass

  • Manna Dey should not have to get angry like this. poor Manna Dey the tabla man should have been fired

  • Only an asshole humiliates another musician in front of an audience. Tabla drums can be difficult to tune, and hot lights and weather can be brutal to a tabla. Give the tabla player a break. I don't care if Manna is a legend. He needs to learn how to trweat other musicians.

  • The tabla player should've stopped when Manna asked him to stop. That's tabla player's problem -- not Tabla's.

  • Manna Dey was 89 years old in 2008. He experienced this type of situation more than any artist. He wasn't harsh on the tabla player. He waited 2:18 minutes and was suggesting the tabla player & then moved on. the audience was disgusting to me. Whole time people were talking/ laughing. music is an art not a source for entertainment. Try to enjoy music with heart not with ears.

  • what exactly is he sayin?

  • Fault is on both sides. Manna-da, being a musician for many years, should know that the tabla sets CAN and WILL be a pain in the neck to tune! Tabla sets have very limited range in tuning. Filmi tabla sets will usually be in mid E to mid G# or even mid A. Classical male tabla ranges from B to D# or E (maybe F if you are Jagjit Singh). The tabla player did mess up on some of the thekas. Think about how nervous the tabla player must have been to accompany a legend and being chewed on stage!!

  • very much agreed.

i feel sorry for the tabla player..

  • @vedicger108 sorry dude. the tabla player had no idea what he was doing... I watched this show live. the tabla player was over confident.

  • @vedicger108 obviously something went wrong but i don't understand what. Did the table player play off beat, or off tempo, or was he messing up the taal by playing the sum at the wrong place in the song?

  • @SangamEquilibrium He was taking a long time to tune his tabla set. When Manna-da was doing his alap, he was still tuning, thus interrupting him. He played too quickly at first, placed the mukhra at the wrong spot, and wasn't really flowing with the song. Accompanying somebody means to surrender your abilities (and ego) to help the main artist. If you want to show how great of a tabla player you are, either do a great job accompanying someone OR become a tabla soloist.

  • What an idiot.

He has the honor to be on stage with a Legend and he blews it.

    Stupid MF

  • You have the honor not to use profanity like western white man. Have you begun to use there MF termnaolgy. Look how you sound, in front of the entire Web World. Just like the white man with a foul mouth! We all,Including I, should watch tounges. I exspect you to curse me out like a white man would, and call me a bunch of names from their Barbaric Dictonary. Your response is welcomed.

    Watch your tounge..

    The Guard wears many colors.

    Guardian II

  • not all white people are disrespectful. realise

  • white people.... white people........why is tht every imigrant( specially south east) lives here and then start talking shit about them.......do you consider yourself better then them or what?????.....dont run away from reality..

  • Do you all realise who the singer is whom you are blaming it on? Manna Dey the great. He has a right to put the Tabaliya on a kneel down.

  • i agree with you. why the hell are ppl saying things about the great manna dey?! the master of classical music, how dare they ... rafi said that he only listens to mannada's songs.

  • Manna Dey cannot sing to save his life. Please listen to Mehdi Hasan. That is true classical music.

  • LOL wow.

i will never say anything bad about mehdi hassan, he too is a legend.

however, to say that manna dey cannot sing to save his life??

you may love hindustani music, but you certainly don't understand it ..

  • To hindustanimusiclover:

You have ZERO sense about music. I am sure you made a comment like that to generate some attention! So I will stop here and not say anything further than that your comment was retarded and amateurish.

  • WRONG partyanimal77!

Ever heard of the saying "Respect is earned not given?" If I were to base on this video, Manna Dey loses some degree of respect from his fans (like me). I have tuned tablas myself, and believe me it is VERY HARD for even experts to tune them, which is why experts tune it ahead of time, something CLEARLY not done by the guy here. I think Manna Dey should have taken a better tabla player, instead of belittling a noob for not being able to tune properly.

  • the beginning of this song is so fucking epic

  • I don't care where you are, they always blame the drummer!!

  • this man cannot sing!!! and tabla player was doing fine... I think the singer had some fight at home with his wife... i don't see anyother reason.

  • what did he exactly say in bengali??

  • Throw away your tabla sets, they are not good!! But sorry to say, Manna Dey has the problem here, not the Tabla players! Tabla was fine, it was Manna dey who was strugling to maintain the pace and blamed it on the poor Tabla players..

  • LOL this happens all the time with many singers. Just the other day my friend went to a concert. He said that the vocalist was not keeping to the taalam and gave the percussionist an angry look even though it was the vocalists fault.

Even the great Ahmed Jaan Thirakwa admitted that vocalists tried to sabotage him many times.

  • LMFAO

DAT IS LIKE THE WORLD RECORD

  • Lol, if I had a dollar for every time I heard the words " The Tabla is out of tune!" in class.....poor tabla player...

  • Is that Bangali
