I wrote a script for a graphic novel and now I'm in the illustration process of it. Mr. Wilson's advice for discipline is the absolute truth. Actually, it can be applied for every creative process for freelancers in advertising, writing, story boarding... just to name a few.
Excellent advice. Cut your addictions. After ten years of ignoring my 80% completed novel, I quit drinking and am back writing and just editing the finished version now. I used to think I needed alcohol and cannabis in order to be creative. I didn't - it just stopped me from being creative.
Lol love the goodies in the carved out space. :) You've got some good advice there! I'm going to subscribe, I've got like 40 books planned, completed two but I've still got a long way to go.
Versatile advice! Eric I think I've done a good 10 book reports on your work growing up, I can't even believe I found you on youtube. Thanks for the POST!
Thanks for the nice words. I suspect you're referring to the Canadian children's author, Eric Wilson. I've written ten novels, all listed at WilsonWriter . com, but you're reference to book reports and growing up made me think you mean the other guy--who's about twenty years older, btw. lol
@wilsonwriter08 hey you know what, i am referring to him, i'm maybe its an Eric Wilson thing that turns them into great authors, that was still very helpful. i always think about it before i take on my addictions.
I had a serious bloody go at using the Samuel Coleridge technique for creative writing for a long decade. For karma's sake i will not recommend it but it does have a few pros along with the obvious cons. Stopped using it now and I do feel i have made it to through to the otherside with some improvement, but would i have anyway? i couldnt have gotten any worst, that's 4 sure!!
Impressive production and great use of this venue. I'm recommending this series to our memoir writers group in Nashville. And I'll be back for more too!
Somebody's gotta leave the first comment, so it might as well be me! Always nice to see people who've made it giving advice to those who haven't yet. Thanks for an informative vlog. Can't wait to see the next episode!

@MikeMateescu -- You are right! A tv show in which the main character is a writer... just a coincidence, I suppose (?)
