Those Phoenix alloys go well with the car! I've got those on my '98 200, but the front ones are quite corroded due to years of brake dust build up. They still look good when freshly cleaned though.
Does your Rover have a K-Series engine ? As that start up sound sounds a lot like a K!
Yeah they are brilliant. I sold this one to my dad last week. In the 2 and a half years I had it it never went wrong, sailed 2 mots and covered 25,000 miles in that time. I only paid £250 for it as well. I will miss it dearly but when I bought my 820, it had to go :-(
there great cars. took mine for mot and it failed needs lot of work doing with it. im putting it into storage. do the work and bring it back on the road. it also started great in winter 2.
@andycarr75 Haha yes it does. Well Spotted sir. I got it from an 827 Vitesse, and thought it would look nice in the 420 as the interior architecture is similar. And it colour matches too. Bonus :-)
@andycarr75 Thank you. I also love these cars. This, being a NASP 2 litre, is a rare beast now too. And its a kick in the head for all the haters as it has never given a moment's trouble. I also like the 75, but I am a huge fan of the 800 and am looking to get one this year. Can't wait :-)

I love the R8s - especially the saloons. I had two myself before my Rover 75 and I'm always hankering after getting another one!

Good old rovers! I got rid of mine for a Citroen in the end but it would still start up even in the cold and even when it had 173k on the clock!
Oh and between you and me I got another Gary Moore cover coming soon.
