orks with a guy who actually knew him..... But he chased his mom through the woodz behind the elementary school...... Funny thing is he killed them on my dadz birthday... So while my dad was celebrating his bday where i live right now.... Just down the road.... Larry Swartz was killing his parentz......... Sickening thought......
I live in the same neighborhood Larry Swartz lived in.... Heh they call him "The Cape St. Claire Killer" ..... The crime was incrdibly khaotically terrible until u actually know all this.... Hense... Itz still fucking terrible..... But... He chased his mom round the community and dragged her to the backyard before he actually officially killed her... 17-38 stabs in his dad... And brutal. BRUTALLY killed his mom.... Itz crazy.... I go to the high school his m taught at and he went to... My bro w
why adopt children if u know u will mistreat them. those parents got what was coming for them indeed. the children turned out to be that way coz of the way they mistreated them. they were psychologically nd emotionally abused it affected them. what a sad story.
This is a really sad movie. but it's an awesome movie! NPH just keeps on astonishing and leaving me breathless every time! Any movie I see of him is just... hauntingly incredible!
This is the reason why adoptive parents should have to go through psychiatric evaluations. Obviously the parents were living in LaLa land and had no idea what those boys had been through (in their pasts.) Did the parents realize that kids aren't like puppies? You can't just discard them because they're starting to bother you. What a loony pair of parents who had no business raising kids.
Thank you for allowing us to watch this movie, this an eye-opener to what really takes place in "the privacy" of some homes. We can't tell what some children/adults are going throught in their homes, this movie has cause me to think and to look differently at people's behaviour (there is a valid reason for certain behaviour). We are not to take them for granted but hear their silent cry for HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@DattRedBone Look up the murder of Dominique Dunne.
John Sweeney (the killer) was sentenced to 6½ years in prison, the maximum sentence he could have received; but he served less than four years before his release, having been given credit for time served before conviction.
6 homes in 6 years. No wonder he reacted the way he did. All Brian ever wanted his whole life was a home that he could live in with loving parents. Poor kid he NEVER got that.
so sad, u gotta love little chris, hes so cute, a shame for daniel, all he needed was some guidence, i dont have ny sympthay for the parents, they got wot they deserved
yeah you listened to his own version - despicable for discipline? get a life! Do you really know how difficult he was as a kid? You are an idiot for saying the deserved to get killed.
@teewoods If you would re-read my comment you would notice that I said "if" this story is true. What these parents did crossed the line of sensible discipline long ago. They were abusive and judging from many of the stories that have come out of the news lately I would say the accuracy of his tesitmony is not outside the realm of possibility. There is a respectful way to disagree with someone w/o resorting to name calling. Was I harsh? Perhaps but that does not excuse your lack of decorum.
Even if the story was true, I make no apologises for calling you an idiot for saying the parents deserved to die. I don't condone violence never mind murder something you seem to justify in this case. The parents were extremely strict but you overlook the fact they did good in the community helping old people. Give me strict parents anyday over irresponsible parents who abandon all prenatal duties infesting the world with their kids who end up in gangs and a threat to society
@teewoods Whether you apologize or not is really of no consequence to me. The fact that the parents did "good" in the community does not negate the fact that they abused their children. Abuse comes in many forms. As I said earlier perhaps I was harsh when saying that the parents deserved to die. It was visceral reaction. That being said to deny that there were not mitigating factors is just plain ignoring the facts (or his version of the facts) Childen need loving responsible parents.
Really powerful film.

scarey. Those parents should never have been able to adopt any kids.
