@raidacaipo don't underestimate the competence of jazz fingerpickers please. Just because we're not used to playing from sheet music doesn't mean we can't play this kind of thing. It's one skill to fingerpick well, another to know which position to play in when all the score says is the note.

@Muzikman127 Your talking about chords.. Theres a difference between chords and tabs... chords are formed with ease because you know the pattern. You say its a C chord and the person knows what that is. Now a tab is learned because you look at numbers and place your fingers. It takes more time to learn by tab because its like someone telling you where to place your fingers everytime.

@raidacaipo for example the first chord is Dmaj7add11. He plays four notes from the chord (D F# C# and e). A tab tell you that (x5465x) a chord just tells you it could be any of the notes D F# A C# and E in any order

They feel that anyone can play this as long as you guide their fingers individually with "tabs". Though I use tabs for simple songs, a song like this cannot be tabbed and its not easily learned...

@raidacaipo I don't really play for tabs, but anything that can be written in sheet music can be written in tab- if anything tabs allow you to write more detail than sheet music. You try writing out little wing in sheet music some time. Tabs are a good aid to help learn something by ear- I don't use them that much and you need to be a good musician as well as a good guitarist to play something like this, but there's nothing wrong with playing from tab...
