  • wait until utube is shut off

  • fucking love this track.

  • If I had known then, what I know now...

  • @ApostastyUK No, and he doesn't always play it with them live. In fact, I've only seen that once (doesn't mean its only happened the one time, just that there have been plenty of concerts with just the usual lineup)

  • What does he say at the beginning?? Sounds like, "Giant one, mighty fine..."

  • @FixFalcon He says watch out the window with a big red mosquito

  • I think it goes without saying that Pearl Jam is one of the best grunge bands ever.

  • "If I had known then, what I know now.."

    Damn, ain't that the truth.

  • I love the dirty sounding guitars!

  • I've been a fan of PJ since Ten, but this song, this entire album has a very personal signifigance in my life that few other albums have.

  • to all friends the red mosquito is the enemy of LOVE....he was just playing me reminding me of his presence he is awaiting..................eddie is the most understanding of pain deep pain god bless him and his lyrics but keep in mind he is just like you and me lost and needing a supernatural savior............we as human......777

  • PEARL JAM RULES

  • recuerdo que por el año 97, compré su cd no code, por esta canción que la escuche en doble nueve, la radio rock en lima... chiki chiki chiki chaaa!!!!

  • live on two legs best album I ever heard!!!!=D i cant stop hear it. some people think it is not normal because I`m 11 and they say this isn`t music for 11 agesXD

  • @MrDaxish dude... i've been listening to this music for literally as long as i can remember. great music speaks to like minds, no matter what age you are!

  • @MrDaxish hahah good on you, least u know what real music is

  • i love pearl jam..i love the red mosquito

  • ah k buen recuerdo d cuando escuchaba este cd

  • a great album

  • one of PJ's most underrated tune......

  • not bad--nuthin' will ever top "VS."

  • this album is very underrated. There are some hidden gems like "Mankind"...the only pearl jam song not sung by Eddie..instead by Stone

  • I remember buying this album and being like ???.. I even remember when Mankind was on the radio rotation. Now when I talk about this album I say its the last really great Pearl Jam album. Hail Hail, Off He Goes, Mankind , Present Tense, Who you are... all great. The last really good album for me has to be Yield. I still really like Yield.

  • For me, I think Vs and Ten are their best, Yield follows.......

  • i think Sweet Lew from Lost Dogs was sung by Jeff. I saw them do that song on tour for the first time ever, and he was singing it there.

  • well there is also "don't gimmie no lip" which Stone also sings on. that song can be found on their double album "lost dogs" which as you may already know a collection of b-sides,rarities and outtakes.

  • ive misspoken.. Stone also sings "Don't Gimme No Lip" from lost dogs.."Mankind" is Better though

  • Great song. One of their best, by far.

  • If I had known then what I know now.

  • no code i think my fav cd

  • thats right...no code is the greatest achievement of pearl jam....time stopped and these guys made a blend of styles unlike any rock band of the 90s....who ever thought that a stooges-like song could blend so well along with a neil young-beatles-like tune....long live pearl jam & this by far their leap between ordinary rock & the real musicians they turned out to be...legends :D

  • I agree to a point I say No Code was a breaking point for PJ. They were getting ready to break up before they made that album and Eddie wanted to see how far they could go so he talked the band into making another album which would be known as No Code, and because that album was such a success, we still have PJ around today.

  • i don' think no code was a huge success....it sold like nealy 1 million records or something....i think huge that year was mellon collie or the first bush album...i'm not sure...correct me if i'm wrong...what i know is that no code is my fav pj album

  • @theachtungtree I was refering to No Code being a success for the band itself.

  • ok :D

  • @pballinstar

Haha what are you talkin' 'bout??

No Code was their least populare album!

  • @pballinstar Interesting story. Where did you hear this?

Also the album WASN'T a big success! Atleast not compared to their previous albums. Which means they stuck together because they worked out their differences and realised how much they loved making music.

  • its one of my favs too

  • favorite song at the moment

  • best song on the album next to hail hail! go pearl JAM! Or Aunties' hallucinogenic recipe!

  • This song has always been one of my favorites. It reminds me of someone running from their past, but knowing the truth is always out there lurking, waiting to come back and haunt them again.

  • i hope not i've been doing that for 8 years. Give me a break.

  • What? I didn't know that my impression of this song could possibly be found offensive. My bad, I guess I didn't know it was a personal attack. I'll try to give you a break next time I share my thoughts.

  • Its not a personal attack. You just described me very well and I like this song.

  • Ok, sorry for spazing out :) I'm glad the band has been playing this song lately. Hopefully Ben Harper and the relentless 7 will keep opening for them as they seem to like playing it with Harper on tour.

  • I love this song, and No Code is my favourite PJ album. I have seen them 5 times and never heard this live. Australia is too far to go.. oh well

  • @amentveddergossard

    Well, Pj's rocked Sydney ;)

  • enlighten me, i don't get it

  • i was bitten, must have been the devil

    he was just paying me...

a little visit, reminding me of his presence

    and letting me know, he's a'waiting, he's a'waiting...

    up there...

  • when the mosquito is satan himself then yes, it's a red mosquito.

  • are mosquitos even red? i never can tell i flex my muscle so they explode

  • When you squish them

  • eye of the beholder, just because you don't understand what the lyrics are about in other words you're the stupid one

  • waht are they 'bout?

  • my favo is hunger strike(tempel of the dog)

  • idont know why .. this song always works as a ''battery tester'' for me.... i put this on and see were my brain is.. or where is heading.. great guitar(s)

  • amazing

  • saw this performed live when I saw them in concert in maryland , it was awesome, stage was all lit up red, I was 8 rows back, :O)

  • Definately a classic, gets me every time. This and 'Present Tense' are 2 of my faves.

No Code is their best album.

  • sublime, absolutely sublime... this song brings back lot of good, sweet memories... hell of a year!

  • Mike and Stone's guitars kick ass and Eddie's vocals are sweet

  • One of my favourite Pearl Jam songs

  • Agreed.

  • Mine too !!! I Love them !!! Soon i'll have a tatto with pearl jam logo !!! :D

  • Man, PJ has just put out great album after great album. They reach way down to the depths and very core of rock n' roll music and lift it up to new heights. They are the quintessential band of our time, the embassadors of our culture, representatives of our thoughts and bearers of our six string dreams.

    Long Live PJ!

And Keep on Rockin' in The Free World!

  • @trocker4evr

You´re right. I´m a great fan of PJ, they´re absolutelz mz favourite group and i saw them 2 times life, both of the tiems in Verona at "Arena", great experience!

However i must say last ľ albums are a delusion... In my opinion1 :-D

  • yes it is brotha

  • is that a telecaster i hear screamin out that fat riff?

  • Im going through every song of every album, to make my own personal greatest hits cd, and im going to have to disagree with all of you Ten has the most songs that are, so far, going on the cd, this album in my opinion, is not their greatest. PEARL JAM ROCKS

  • Deep is probably the best song of all time.

  • No Code may not be their best album but it's my favorite. Does that make sense? lol

  • By far one of my favourite PJ songs!

  • "Let in me know he's a waiting...he's always fucking waitng"

  • Turn this up fuckin' LOUD!!!! No Code is an amazing album... every song is something different, I love this song but it's still hard for me to pick a favorite from the album. I can't understand how people still say Ten is their best CD... obviously those guys (a) haven't heard No Code, and/or (b) they're not serious Pearl Jam fans.

  • Thank you. No Code is by far there best record. I feel there are a lot of ten lovers who never heard another record after Vitalogy. The greatest record of 90's for me. And looking like the best of 00's also. Waiting for new Shirley Bassey record, but something tells me she ain't gonna make the cut.

  • i totally agree 100 percent those who only know songs like black even flow and so on are fake pearl jam fans probally never even heard there jems like leash or present tense and im just brushing the surface here i could go on forever cant wait till there reunion coming up

  • You can't dictate whether someone is a fan of a band just because they only like a few of the more famous songs from the band. It's their choice to consider themselves fans.

  • i agree man !!

  • i love "Garden" :D:D:D:D

  • There really is no way to judge which album is "best" because each person judges that on there own tastes so you can't go around saying Ten is not the greatest Pearl Jam album like it's a fact. I consider myself a serious Pearl Jam fan because I enjoy listening PJ a lot and I have most of their albums and they are my favorite band. My favorite song is Once and Ten is probably my favorite album because it appeals to my personal tastes. How can you say I'm not a serious fan?

  • Agreed. My personal fav is No Code.

  • @omgwtfbbq34 .... hands down TEN, is the most complete Album to date. The highest selling album to date.

the best produced album to date. Like so many Rock'n'roll hall of fame bands.... their first album was like catching lightning in a bottle.... it took them less than two weeks to record it...

    personally. i love Riot Act.

but. it is ridiculous to Argue that all in all... their best album ever made to this day.... from beginning to end is still TEN....

  • I agree No Code is by far their best album

  • It's too bad 'No Code' is so underappreciated.. Certainly their best CD (IMO)..

  • No Code is a brilliant CD, yet Vitalogy is better.

  • I was stunned by the placement of the rhymes, very hard to sing along the first time, yet very articulated throughout the album and then, later on, easy to sing as good as he does.

  • eddy rules!

  • great song by a great band

  • THIS IS SUCH AN AWESOME SONG
