  • Sin palabras me he quedado al escuchar esto

  • this is the heartbeat of the nature

    watch?v=mXaDAUtFvhk

It's broken, so i can't use it for what i need it to, but i need to know the author or the song's title so that i may find it. Please help!!

  • These guys are awesome... I really enjoyed this performance. I don't want to take anything away from anyone...but between you and me...these guys are better than Yamato. ; )

  • すばらしい☆

  • Masterpiece

  • Outstanding...

  • Mano soh pode ser zuera.... Os brasileiros gostam mesmo da cultura oriental. Otro dia tava procurando um clipe da Yui ("Again") sem ser cover e quando achei foi um brasileiro q tinha postado :)

  • First time heard this was in the movie called "the hunted" with Christopher Lambert. Loved the music ever since.

  • Cool drumming, amiright?

  • This is a performance that you have to watch AND listen to fully enjoy.

  • MARAVILHOSO

    LINDO

    EMOCIONANTE

DE ENCHER OS OLHOS E ARREPIAR A PELE

  • Wait a minute. . . how is is that this is the best taiko recording I've ever heard? Listen to that Odaiko!! How come every other recording of taiko drums ever is missing that low end? I'd like to know who produced this. . .

  • Hardcore. I love it.

  • This is one of my favorite KODO pieces... I want to learn it!!

  • every time i hear this my heart races and hair stands on end!

  • Fantastic rhythm through this piece.. highly energetic and entrancing at the same time!

  • Got boring after the first 4 minutes.

  • @clearfather yure an motherfucke then ;)

  • Hmm..no one noticed the Trifore on their backs?

  • That stuff is HARDCORE TOO DO!! There better than experts!

  • Lol, I just notice everytime. They have EXTREMELY large feet! even the girl!! :D

  • @susanshelit dude! i never noticed that. nice

  • @susanshelit You've gotta remember the aspect ratio is stretched, so anything horizontally flat appears much longer than reality. xD

If you compare them to the width of their faces they're not really that large.

  • @susanshelit Its because the image is stretched. lol

  • I am learning Taiko Kodo Drumming and I know the three types of drum we use.

    Meah Taiko- Ceremony Drum

    Okedo Taiko- Barrel Bodied Drum

    Shiime-Taiko- Small Tight Drum

Those are the names and their meanings

  • I am learning Taiko Kodo Drumming and I know the two types of drum we use.

    Meah Taiko- Ceremony Drum

    Okedo Taiko- Barrel Bodied Drum

  • I've only had the chance to see them live once. I keep waiting for them to come back to the states. They are friggen amazing live. The entire show captures you from beginning to end.

  • there's a clip on youtube titled demon drummers..that pretty much explains how these guys are so damn good....real hardcore stuff.

  • I love this lot.. I saw them in Sadlers' Wells (London) maybe 1985? absolutely riveting. Kudos for posting this video. As an aside, I bought a T-shirt, and I was told some years later, that the characters on the back spelt out two meanings! "Drum Child" or "Heartbeat". ps.. do you have the long track which starts off with tiny finger bells, and gradually works "upscale" through to the drummers? Would appreciate that one!!

  • how can 7 people do not like this? its a "foreign" culture and the music is sort of relaxing, while it has its own kind of rythm.

    i like it...

  • i involuntarily head banged to this, this is PULSED. dude it has to be killer to play the daiko cannon back there

  • a true work of art...

what type of flute is that?

  • @mandohiker the flute is called shinobue, often shortened to fue. It's beautiful, eh.

  • @brainyscienceguy yeah, it is... thanks answering my question!

  • みんなすばらしい。太鼓さいこ、、、

  • tô aprendendo a tocar essa música! é tão legal!!

  • the barrel drum is daiko. compressed drum i dont know.

  • What's the name of the big compressed drum?

  • @MrTimmyDee the great big drum is dailko. die ko

  • @12valvepower1 - I am not reffering to the Dadaiko, but the large drums that seem vertically compressed. I have not seen them at any Taiko concerts here yet...

  • @MrTimmyDee I believe the drum you're referring to is the hira-daiko; the very large drum in the background is the o-daiko. The smaller drums that are being carried are katsugi okedo, and the one the guy sitting on the floor is playing is usually called the shime (pronounced shee-may).

Odds are there's a group in or close to your hometown that offers lessons in case you wanted to try it for yourself. I'd say they're almost certainly really nice people, too. :)

  • @brainyscienceguy Thanks - I'm already involved with the group "Waitaiko" - the Taikot group for the Waikato region in NZ. They have just returned from touring Japan, with the likes of Riichi Yamauchi and Kenji Furutate. ;) I know that after Kyoto they travelled to Sado isl. (I think for the Earth Festival there). I'm not sure, but here's hoping they played with or saw Kodo! Miyake is my fav...

  • My two years old son gets totaly crazy when earing this song. He immediatly runs to get his toy drums and starts to plays his own beat. He's not so good of course but what I like is to see him driven wild by such a tribal (and excelent) music.

  • Musica Divina :)

  • Look at them... their having soo much fun while playing... NOW THATS MUSIC!!

  • @Phoenixdragonfang .........yeath mate thats powerfull

  • @Phoenixdragonfang I wouldn't say their having so much as their putting EVERYTHING (( heart, body, and soul )) into their performance and to have your hard work come out in front of you as "perfection" that's what they are enjoying.

  • @TechnoFerret717 putting your everything into a performance makes it so much more enjoyable, for the audience and the performer.

  • Does anyone know what the 3 comets on the o-daiko signify? I can't find any info.

  • its's called "tomoe" :)

  • @dunetiger It is the "mitsutomoe" symbol, the "circling three." It serves a purpose virtually identical to the Chinese Yin-yang, stating that the world around us is constantly in motion, constantly changing, and everything affects everything else. There is also a legend that the mitsutomoe was the personal crest used by Japan's greatest lady samurai, Tomoe Gozen of the Minamoto Clan.
