All of pantera's music is awesome. Even the stuff they put out on they're own before getting signed to a label. Its hair metal but still great.

There is no replacement for Dimebag. I know Dime and Zakk were like brothers, but there's no way Zakk could stand in for Dime. He's a great guitar player, don't get me wrong, but putting Zakk in PANTERA would be like putting silk head on a pig. It just wouldn't work. The first time he used his little signature harmonic everyone would think it was an Ozzy song or a really good cover from BLS. Frankly, that idea ain't worth a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin getting it on.

I saw Pantera at least 5 times. I had the chance to , meet them in Poughkeepsie, ny. I was wearing a ht Phil tossed out into the crowd at world stage in Spring Valley, Darrel noticed the hat in the parking lot. My buddy & I hung with the band in there tour buss as they prepped for the show. We walked in with the band through back stage. Was one great time, and Darrel was a nut. Great musicians.. Good times. Wish he was still around, and would love to hear what they would be sounding like today!
