You don't even have to be amazing to get in, just stand out. Best tip I could give you. Wear bright boots like Yellow or something, that way you catch the scouts eye more than others. Also, be loud. Get stuck in. There could be players much better than you but if they don't stand out and are quiet, they won't get picked.
