  • Kevin,

you have a natural gift for teaching and making things clear....well done.

  • What a delightful video. Well paced in both the playing and the teaching. I'm not learning the Lagrima, but I am learning Asturias Leyenda and Koyunbaba and I found some helpful stuff in here for general technique. It all counts towards improving expressiveness.

I wish you did other pieces. Great stuff!

  • Thank you very much for your frienship and time!!!

  • Thanks for the lessons, very usefull tips!! Are you going to upload some more lessons soon?

  • Terrific video...thank you very much. I got a couple of terrific tips here.

  • No, lagrima means tear in Spanish

  • very helpful lesson, that guitar sounds amazing!

  • I like to play it with tremolo.

  • Superb in every way! Not only an object lesson in how to teach guitar but in how to teach teachers to teach.

  • thank you !!!

  • Thanks a lot

  • Excellent technique, lovely tone and expression.

This shows why you had won the Tarrega Internatinoal Competition.

    Standing ovation!

  • thanks..

    what is your guitar?

  • "MVP" in youtube. On my knees to you Sir. This what they call "Sharing" - sharing only the best forget all the rest.

  • Thank you for your very useful lessons on this piece. I picked up lots of things my guitar teacher didnt tell me!

How do you record such a beautiful tone? When I record my guitar, it doesn't sound as good as in real life. I use a Samson C15 condenser mic about 2 ft in front of the guitar and a Tascam 122L amplifier.

    Many thanks,

    Jim.

  • Hi Kevin, this is one of the best vids on youtube! You gave so much info in this lesson. Thank you so much again and I hope we get to see more :-)

  • i have never played lagrima, but your tricks are really helpfull for any music, i´m agree with the hands preparation, it gives security and achievement in performance. another thing i think is important to note and you didn´t mention it, is that in the big shifts you move your elbow first and so the hand arrives exactly where it goes, in slow pieces one can´t feel it but in a faster... thanks Mr. Kevin for your videos, they are great.. greetings from colombia.

  • VERY valuable lesson for anyone learning this piece! I am a teacher myself and I will say that you are a truly gifted instructor.
