What i really want to say is that i don't believe there is any dvd book or whatever to make you compose riffs.. The main idea of composing riffs is just grab your guitar and play whatever makes you feel like you own the world... No mater the music genre that's the only idea... now if you rely on a video you will probably replicate what the video plays...

how do you set your amp to sound like that i have a washburn mavric serise guitar and a 50w first act guitar amp and a lion distortion pedle and i cant seem to get the tone i want can you make a vid on how can do this

because you have poop equipment. about the only way to get a good sound out of what you have is to get a professional guitar tech to set you up. you would sound way better if you replaced the first act amp. if you want a good sound you should save up some money and try to get a good deal on a better amp.

@hapkidolance It will be hard to get his tone with your amp, First Acts are not TOP quality. But, play with the tone knobs, just experiment, if you start liking the tone, go further with it, get it as best for you as you can, in you get new gear, do the same. Don't put too much distortion, on First Act amps too much distortion can make it fuzzy. I have a Washburn Lyon LCT-24 with a Marshall MG-100 Half Stack and it sounds amazing. Just try new stuff or talk to somebody you know who plays guitar.

@hapkidolance is that really your setup? If it is you need a SERIOUS upgrade to get any tone worth a spit. you also need to play properly as alot of your "tone" comes from your hands and mind.

It's only just recently that many of the classical snobs are defrosting to the realisation that a whole subdivision of metal is founded upon the language forged by their precious classical. Considering how wild he inclinations were in his own time, it's very possible that Beethoven would be writing Symphonic metal if he were still here.
