  • No mention of water vs rice ratios, ... also, The POINT of putting it in the owe-one is to cook it while it's in the oven. If you put it in there AFTER it's already been cooked, the rice is going to turn into MUSH.

  • The small brown balls were just Soya Nuggets. You just need to boil them for about 5 minutes and they are ready to be added to any dish.

  • Does all Biryani require yogurt? How can you make a Biryani for people who are lactose intolerant?

  • yogurt shouldn't bother those lactose intolerant... I can't have milk or cheese, but yogurt doesn't affect me. unless you have another problem with dairy, yogurt is fine.

  • People can be more tolerant of traditionally made yogurt than milk because it contains lactase enzyme produced by the bacterial cultures used to make the yogurt. However, many commercial brands contain milk solids, increasing the lactose content.

  • I love this recipe! I used tofu in this recipe. I never cooked with tofu before so I wasn't expecting the cubes to puff up. I had big chunks of tofu in the dish but it was so good no one seemed to mind. :) Thank You vahchef
