Kia Cadenza

I tested a Cadenza today, beautiful car from every angle and the acceleration is amazing for its size: less than 7 sec. 0-100 km/h

Kia has an uncanny way of destroying their entire design with the wheels they stick on it... Koup SX, Amanti, Spectra SX Models, Soul +.... The hub caps are even worse. I love the cars but they need to spend an extra 5 minutes looking at the wheels before sending them out.

@rontonkinkia I honestly disagree. I really like the Cadenza's alloys and think they fit the style well. I also like the wheels on all the other models you mentioned. I LOVE the alloys on the Optima SX! The style just fits the car so perfectly.

@palebeachbum The Optima SX is a REALLY nice car, the wheels are just a compliment. Powdercoat the wheels a Gunmetal color against the Midnite Blue exterior paint and we would have a VERY nice looking car.

I have an '06.5 Optima and I like the updated '09 pretty well. Wish they had redesigned the interior too though, not just the exterior. I got to sit in an '09 SX V6, black with the black sport cloth/lthr interior. Had navigation and paddle shifters. I typically hate black on cars (so hard to keep clean), but I fell in love with this one. The wheels are like a brushed silver finish, not a real shiny finish. I like them. Really handsome car.

The Korean cars manufacturers (Kia and Hyundai are actually owned by the same entity) have invested heavily in their cars, and the quality shows. The Hyundai Genesis winning COTY last year proves it. This looks like a nice ride for the money.

Can that change within the next few years? Absolutely. The Accord looks good, it may not be as sexy as the Sonata, nor as handsome as the Optima, but it's still a good design. I don't believe that they will copy H-K's styling anytime soon. The 2012 Camry is going to be the same boring appliance.

Oh ok so now I can only get a "bare bones" Lexus or 3-series. Both come standard with a lot of equipment already. These are premium cars dude, not a Toyota yaris. And you still have $3-4k to play with as far as options go if you are wanting to keep it under $37k.

True I must admit that some of the styling ques do look familiar to those found on some european cars, But the bottom line is that it's still not an Audi or Mercedes or whatever else it looks like. What KIA did you rent? I had 2 kias and i love them. I have a Mohave now, and it actually drives better than my buddy's Touareg. Kias before 2006 were quite crap..... :)
