You need to give the button an instance name of "flip" in sidea and sideb movieclip. You will learn real quick how important instance names are when using flash.

Well with cs5 it works well only that sometimes it does have a delay on flip content even the bg has allready flipped and that looks ugly when its suddendly drop to the place at the end..

Its weird that nobody hasnt figured out how to do whole site structure with this flip style even there has been expensive component for this like several years..

Thanks! It works really well. I only have 1 question. For rather obvious reasons, my text on 'sideB' will be upside down. (I'm flipping vertically). Of course if I create it upside down from the beginning, then the text will be rightside-up. But that isn't really an efficient or logical solution. Any solutions for this?

i have flash cs3. would this still work? and i wanted to do a side a,b, And c. and i tried to fix the actionscript so it fits. but i don't think i am doing it correctly.

you have to remember that codes are constantly updated and some codes in CS4 don't exist in CS3 for example 'rotationY' doesn't exist in Cs3 but works perfectly in CS4 I'm not sure if that helps you but i hope it works for you

IF IT'S NOT WORKING:

Update Flash CS4! Flash 10.0.0 causing the flip to flash after the button is clicked. Simple fix :)

I noticed that when the page was rotated the Flash player consume 40-50% from my CPU , how it's possible? the animation it's finish but the CPU it's 40-50% used . tested in mozilla and IE and from Flash ( when i test the movie) Pentium 4 and athlon 64 X2 tested!!!..

with caurina class... the same ~60%

and the problem it's the animation it's stop why the CPU it's in use ?

ok, for those of you with the flicker error on sideb, what i did was to uncomment the line con.scaleX=-1; (just add // in front of it). this fixes the problem but of course everything appears mirrored, so, just flip all of your content on sideb so it looks ok. if you find another way of fixing this it would be of great help. thanks!

For those of you looking for a better fix, check the version of your software. You must be using Flash CS4 and you MUST update the software.

I had the exact same problem and this fixed it perfectly.

Do I just create more sides (sidec, sided, sidee...) and then compy the actionscript from the first 2?

This was make for 2 pages. you can add more frames to each page. Use AS3 to flip the pages and use gotoandstop to go on the pages correct frame.

@artvectors From what I remember I did! yet it was fairly long time ago....

From memory, i think i did just copy everything (changing symbols and actionscript a bit so there is no duplicate functions and so on)....

I tried to look at it in a logical way, and then try to figure the most easiest way to do it.
