ok first of all, pete doherty isn't REQUIRED to play at any of his fans' funerals; the fact that he DID makes him a good person. And what logical reasoning would lead you into thinking that that made him a bad person? what other celebrity as done that recently? if he needed a publicity stunt, he could have just as easily gotten himself arrested, or picked up another supermodel. And if "fuck forever" were my favourite song, yes i'd want it played at my funeral, regardless of what anyone thinks.

just think about it; You get mauled by the press every week. You need some good publicity. One of your fans has died who you didn't know. Im sure its much more likely he did it to get some good publicity so he can earn more money to fund his drug habit than just doing it as an act of random kindness. And I would find it an insult to my memory if anyone- wheteher I was their adoring fan or not- played a song called 'fuck forever' at my funeral.

I agree winehouse is talented but have lost faith as she has not released a decent dong for a while, and has been 'letting herself go'. He could take it slower, but eventually he could resisit the temptation and yes, refuse the addiction. he is a bad man, but that depends on your definition of a bad person. If he looked sober more often than drunk or high, maybe he wouldn't get the bad press he deserves.

well, it does make him a bad person, a lack of control, giving in to the addiction, getting hookes in the first place. There is no way he is a good man. They only pront photos of him when he is wasted because he always looks wasted and they do that as a shock or warning to parents to not let their kids come to his level, and to combat drug use, similar to the way they treat amy winehouse.

Fine I don't know too much about the arrest warrant, i read it on the paper going to work. Trust me, I would praise an intelligent lyric. I would 'sit there and say nope there not intelligent lyrics' because nothing by the babyshambles/libertines is intelligent, without proof. For example,coldplay songs have many great lyrics, alas, they are not the shambles. It is good that he is cleaning up his act, but that doesn't excuse the terrible things he has done, or the things he may do in the future.

I never said you respected him for drugs, I said you respect a man who has and still does drugs and hass an arrest warrant out for him at the moment for damage to property. If you respect someone who does drugs, it sends the message that even though he does drugs, you still respect and love him, which implies that for his fans image, there is no detriment from the use of drugs.
