i watched a programme about this, at the end of the show they tried to x-ray the mummy but it was too big to fit in the scanner. does anyone know if they managed to find a bigger scanner? it would be interesting to see the results.

Carbon dating only works on things that were once alive end even then its unreliable. And a hammer is not a good tool for taking down trees. Carbon dating works with some things like a hammer works with some things. Carbon dating is good for living things that get carbon directly from the air (plants), organisms that feed on these are a bit more inaccurate and seacreatures are more inaccurate, but we know when we can use carbon dating.
Also there are many more radiometric datingtechniques that work different.
Uranium-lead, argon-argon, potassium-argon and much more. Read up ;)

The date they got is from the stratigraphy of the region.The formation the fossil was found in has in its hightest layers a K/T boundry. K/T boundary is dated in nummerous places to be 65.5 million years old with pottasium-argon and argon-argon dating. The layers below it are also dated with that technique and all layers of that age have a K/T boundary, and particular fossils that only lived in that time period. So same fossils, same K/T boundary and same radiometric dates.

Our earth is still very young, and dinosaur skin and hearts and other organs are being found, perfectly preserved, so I don't think after 65 million years that stuff would still be in good condition. 2. Carbon dating has nothing to do with this. Carbon dating is only used on organic material up to about 50,000 years old. Other forms of radiometric dating are used on older specimens.
3. Dinosaur organs have never been found "perfectly preserved," unless by that you mean "fossilized."

I just saw this mummy at the Museum of Natural History in NYC. I was dumbstruck. It has to be seen to be believed. The museum is astounding in general, but this, along with the Mammoth mummy and the ancient human fossils, were the zenith for me

The alleles modification is ACCIDENTAL , but natural selction is not .
Natural selection always selects the most suitable organism for the environment it lives in .

Carbon dating only works on things that were once alive end even then its unreliable. And a hammer is not a good tool for taking down trees. Carbon dating works with some things like a hammer works with some things. Carbon dating is good for living things that get carbon directly from the air (plants), organisms that feed on these are a bit more inaccurate and seacreatures are more inaccurate, but we know when we can use carbon dating.
Also there are many more radiometric datingtechniques that work different.
Uranium-lead, argon-argon, potassium-argon and much more. Read up ;)

But they align well with space influx, dust on the moon, regression of the moon, corals and stromatolite layers, mitochondrial DNA, multiple datingtechniques side by side.

The date they got is from the stratigraphy of the region.The formation the fossil was found in has in its hightest layers a K/T boundry. K/T boundary is dated in nummerous places to be 65.5 million years old with pottasium-argon and argon-argon dating. The layers below it are also dated with that technique and all layers of that age have a K/T boundary, and particular fossils that only lived in that time period. So same fossils, same K/T boundary and same radiometric dates.

Our earth is still very young, and dinosaur skin and hearts and other organs are being found, perfectly preserved, so I don't think after 65 million years that stuff would still be in good condition. 1. No, it's not 65 million years old. It's 4.5 billion years old.
2. Carbon dating has nothing to do with this. Carbon dating is only used on organic material up to about 50,000 years old. Other forms of radiometric dating are used on older specimens.
3. Dinosaur organs have never been found "perfectly preserved," unless by that you mean "fossilized."

I think youre maybe misunderstanding what they found. The "mummy" was still made of stone. Its just when the dinosaur died it was mummified, then the mummy was fossilised. Theres no soft tissue there, its stone

Dude the "mummy" dinosaur is still made of stone. Its just that after the dinosaur died it was mummified and then the mummy was fossilised. They dont literally have the dinosaurs skin still preserved.. just the fossil of the skin lol

I just saw this mummy at the Museum of Natural History in NYC. I was dumbstruck. It has to be seen to be believed. The museum is astounding in general, but this, along with the Mammoth mummy and the ancient human fossils, were the zenith for me
