  • so goooooooood!

the first cover on this song I really like

  • This song featured the real Wolfman Jack and not an impersonator. This was the second Canadian group to feature Wolfman. The other band was the Guess Who with Clap for the Wolfman.

  • @sirslice : Well if that's the case, why don't the US Oldies stations play this? They play a lot of music, but not this. Why?

  • @Tiqerboy It just didn't chart well stateside (made it to #40)... Believe it or not, most "Oldies Stations" have a very tight playlist focusing on "hits". BTW, after widespread fame hit Wolfman Jack (post "American Graffiti") he started voice-tracking radio shows for many stations across North America including 1050 CHUM Toronto.

  • I'd buy this record just for having Wolfman Jack on it.

  • bony m was better ;)

  • I bought this 45 back in '76, love the Stampeders! :)

  • GOOD REMAKE FROM 1976 I WASN'T AT THE SEASON OF RAY CHARLES BUT I LIVES AT 1976 WHEN I WAS 14 YEARS OLD A TEEN MAN AND I LOVED THIS SONG

  • best version

  • ya hit the road jack got it buddy?lol another great classic canadian tune, gotta love it.

  • The late Wolfman Jack (nee Bob Smith) did do the voice-over on this single...

  • (Y)

  • Wat nou video, ik zie alleen maar een foto. Het liedje daar in tegen is magnifiek!!!!!!!!!!! Long live the 70's.

  • I love this one my dad always listened to it.

  • @readawn same hear dude, i love this song and it took me so long to find it to

  • I'm glad you found it

  • My dad use to play it all the time!

  • Wolfman was s000000 coool.......

  • Very different, but ou might expect me say that Ray knocks the socks off this IMHO :-)

Always nice to hear a take though so thanks for posting

  • Nobody could do it better than Ray. I do like this version though. It's a weird mid 70s rock version leaning towards early punk. If you listen closely Wolfman Jack is singing along towards the end
