Steve worked in AWA as an alleged "Native American" wrestler, Billy Jack Strong, and also in WWF for a bit as "Sadistic Steve". His best known "character", if you can call it that, was in WCW as "The Minotaur". Dude would move around the ring like a bull, and actually MOOED at his opponents for effect (I kid you not).
I remember going to a Stampede show with my Mom and Disalvo saw her in the stands taking pics and he turned, pointed to her and said something to the effect of "I'll give you something to take a picture of" and he posed *LOL*..Too funny....
Can't believe some people, on another Youtube video, said Steve Strong (Disalvo) could have been the next Bruno Sammartino. My god....Strong was just a body, he had no wrestling ability. It takes more than a good body to be a good pro wrestler.
I remember racing home from school on Tuesdays and Thursdays to J.O. to Stampede wrestling on TSN. I always liked Biff's thick hairy chest and big nips, but Steve was insanely hot.
DiSalvo was a 'roid case. He was stiff, arrogant, hot-headed, and unwilling to put over smaller talent, and his brains and mobility were highly disputed. Many promoters and wrestlers didn't want to work with him.
Yes he is very much alive today.

Self-correction to my previous statement - Steve did NOT "moo" as "The Minotaur"; that was "Mantaur" from WWF that mooed in the ring. My apologies.

You know matches are boring when you start to look at people in the audience closely.

DiSalvo would have made a first-class World Champion. He had brains, looks, youth, charisma, size, mobility, mic skills and unparalleled strength
