@TheNorem Also notice that Vinnie says "two minutes" but at 0:45 there is more than 25 minutes left on both clocks and at 1:29 there is still more than 2 minutes on both clocks. Movie producers just don't get chess players. We notice things. Why in the world the producers did not have Josh or Vinnie proof view these scenes? Why didn't Josh insist? After all, they are using his story and name. Shame on Josh for not being true and allowing the producers to think chess players are fools.

@KJVWordofGod Come on... It's just a movie. I'm pretty sure the 0 dislikes here is a great indication that we don't care about the little things. This is still my all-time favourite movie and Laurence Fishburne is spectacular as Vinnie.

@TheZatchamp It's nice you have an emotional attachment to a movie, so much that a simple comment about accuracy is an attack on you personally. Years from now, when historians view the film, they will wonder if the rules of chess changed. Movies are not just for now. People today have a very short sighted view. What will future generations know of us today if we present false narratives as fact? Never mind. The history channel does evolution movies all the time full of lies.

I hate that they just move pieces around and don't actually play a game through the scene. The pieces are in a position and 2 seconds later they are in a totally different positions. That's in all chess movies though, I guess they think we're not paying attention. ..sad
