Gonna have to disagree with 'Transformers' and 'Battle: LA', not just because they are some of the worst films in recent years, but also because they are an example of lazy, unimpressive, by-the-numbers FX. Actually, I might have something better to say about Transformers if I could SEE the effects and the camera wasn't so freakin close. Oh well.

I was born in 1947. I saw War of the World and The Forbidden Planet in the 1950s.

What I saw was spectacular. I fell in love with scif-fi movies. Then slowly but steadly sci-fi film became even more spectacular. With Tron and Star Wars in the 1970s. The 1980s had superlative Terminator and Alien movies. Now in the 22nd century we have District 9 and Transformers most amazing films ! What is going to come in the 2020s and beyond ? Complete CG movies to replace anything and everyting.
