I do think Aesop makes great music and I quite like about half tracks on each album. As for Doom, I love the productions but I find his flow kinda weak (I understand his rap isn't about the flow) but I'm not impressed by the lyrics either. Cannibal ox I actually do like, but again., it's not really the type of rap I listen to often.

I don't know about the states but here in europe most people I know that like el-p and def jux are pretentious little hipster-skaters who think el-p is the god of the underground just because the beats sound a bit experimental and you get a noise/industrial sample here and there. I am just not that impressed by that, if I want something like that I will listen to Tyler or Earl from OFWGKTA.

King Geedorah is pretty raw stuff, Viktor Vaughn is a little darker and Mf is laidback. The differences are subtle.
