@ForeverTheTempted why would it be better in drop D? It would give it a different tone. I don't think Falling In Reverse would Want a higher tonality due to the fitting of Ronnie's voice. Sure it'll save you the time of holding down the 2nd fret to just doing open bit still. They play it Drop C live.
