what happening to me is i am pitching a regular fastball in the game... so i do my analog start from bottom and flick it to top...

I "THINK" i did it perfectly...but the pitcher is pitching it a lot to the left than where i located the pitch to be... is it my controller?? or it shows it's time to switch pitcher?? cuz i'm losing command?

patching a game is when the game developers can upload a "fix or add-on" to a game that will automatically download once you start it up. Just like when you "patch" a hole in a wall....it fixes the problem.

thank god i used to get so pissed because pre patch they would always hit the ball no matter where it was , now you actually have a chance to get a strike out and you can throw more than 1 pitch to each batter, any one else ?

I also have a question about pitching, when you check a batters "Insiders Edge" it shows their stats and stuff.. on mine it just tells me "You havn't subscribed to IE" or something like that.. can you tell me where/how to do that? Thanks!

Really, hmmm you may want to check your options and see if there is a Insiders Edge on/off option and enable it.

Is that for your franchise? I remember in previous years you had to purchase the IE during your franchise for certain players or the whole team. Sounds like this could be your issue.

Well you defintely want to download the patch because the main issue it addresses is the hitting aggression from the CPU, that is a key reason why you're getting rocked. The patch makes the game feel more realistic. Follow some of my strategy and you should see a decrease in CPU base hits and more opportunity for strikeouts.

Yes, that was the patch being applied to your copy of MLB 2K9. You're good to go.

Couple things here: One, does the pitcher make a big difference in how many strikeouts you get a game like comparing lincecum to someone who doesnt get as many strikeouts a game? And two, do you shake off the catcher alot or follow what he wants for the most part? I have been good in other games pitching getting alot of K's but this game, I am getting low amounts and its frustrating when i have the batter down 0-2 and they hit it.

The better the pitcher = better pitch control and speed. Its all in the pitch ratings that will aid you in how effective a pitch will be. I shake the catcher off if doesnt set up where i want to pitch it but not all the time.

If youre not sure about this game i would say rent to be safe but i love the game, it plays very smooth. i really dont get into the comparison between this game and the show because i dont own a ps3. i think its worth buying but that is just me, recommend that you rent first. i will try to get you request done by today.
