also, this is fact, police don't swear to unhold human rights when they are sworn in, HR legislation does now form part of our own, but upholding UK law comes above upholding HR in most cases, otherwise we'd have a society even worse than it is now wher nobody is ever punished for the crimes and everybody could do what they like. I believe there are several countries who are in that very position and it is nothing to aspire to.

continued from above... Any force used thereafter is in self defence to being attacked, which is a right open to everybody in common law amongst other legislation. Also they are not sworn to serve 'the people'. They are sworn to serve the queen, and uphold the law, which they were.

And for to suggest that the practice of the police infiltrating the crowd goes on is laughable. The police have enough to deal with having fances thrown at them.

So where's our right to self-defence against violent, unprovoked attack by police? "Serve the people" was paraphrasing: what they ARE sworn to do, is to protect fundamental human rights. This is the opposite of that function.

Police infiltration has been standard practise for decades. They do it across the world. One Daily Mail writer actually observed someone he knew to be a cop in the crowd, screaming 'PIGS GO HOME'. Of-course it continues, don't be naive.

Police infiltration, it's a tactic as old as protest itself. They get plain-clothes cops to enter the crowd and start throwing shit. Google 'Police Used "Agents Provocateurs" At UK Bush Protests'. Police use it all across the world, it's standard practise, the police admitted in 2002 to having used it against us all through the 60's, 70's and 80's... this should NOT surprise anyone.

The cops may be "just doing their job", but that's called the Nuremberg Defence, and it carries no weight in court. A man owns their actions. When a cop follows orders and attacks civil protest, helps kidnap individuals for extraordinary rendition or enforces drug laws, they are acting violently against the people they are sworn to serve.

i disagree, if you'd like to try and be even slightly objective you might understand. Police officers are not permitted to openly talk or show their political affliations. You will find that most of the people there are opposed to bush but are unable to express that. If you have a job i am sure that you will probably keep some of your opinions to yourself whilst at work. Also, the police don't need to rely on the nuremberg defence as they were merely implimenting a cordon.

What you don't understand is by implementing the cordon, they are attacking the democratic function of a supposedly free nation and working AGAINST the population of Britain.
