Jungle has splitted out of DnB (Or maybe the reverse) Many years ago. Jungle today stay in its path and has evolved so much, being produced especially by North Americans,And many european countries in a underground sciene, varying from Ragga to Ambient. DmB Stills popular at UK.
@fagatron97 Yes it is Jungle. Drum n Bass is sorta considered a more watered down version. Not as dark and evil sounding and more cookie cutter I suppose.
shit man i bet this was a fuckin killer when first come out.. I can just imagine this being played at the rave for the first time and everybody there listening to this for the first time ever, must of been massive. These days pretty much all the people would hear tunes on internet first...

@bishopdante Thanks for the info man. Thanks to you I know what generation y means because ive never even heard that before. I know what you mean about the zero-copyright sampling times through in the 90's, i think it makes artists much more into music and creative, now everything good is underground i guess. look up the Remix Manifesto, its a doc on sampling and copyright, you might have heard of it already
@DJEsqualus finally i found someone whos into that old school 90's dnb in the generation Y like me. The first time i was introduced to dnb was when i played a grand theft auto game called liberty city stories. but its people like me and you that could possibly change the shitty music mainstream nowadays
The fast doosh-taka-doosh-taka-doosh-taka-taka-taka-taka tells me "Hey, zuwig, I'm a cool Jungle track", but the bassline and the piano melody makes me identify it as Breakbeat Hardcore Rave. And wait, wait, what was that at 3:46? I smell a nice mix with "Valley of the Shadows".
No sade or steph or piano! what happened to finding the hanged man? where's his bit. noetic science doesn't lie and reveals he's never had a perfect partner. Give him flow! he doesn't know who this is.
@POWpowerstationish this night he's drunk but thinkhe's tipsy. Well deserved, give him the lighthouse aheead please! ----------- 24/1.10 You reach here again if failed?
i would of loved to be around when this was all kicking off. Its all good with the dubstep wave thats in motion but it doesn't have the rawness of this type of music. Theres no idividuallity about anything any more (N)
Im only 15, the first DnB I ever heard was Moving Shadow and that was agesss ago and I still remember, and I agree that 90's drum and bass is better by far, it doesn't lack the 'crispness' that the more later drum and bass has. ^^'
You can thank Rupert Murdoch, Simon Cowell and Guy Hands for the "no culture" policies. Generation Y hasn't been given the chance to do proper "I'm feeling this vibe" art, authenticity is seemingly forbidden.
The old pirate radio scene was great, the zero-copyright sampling policy was great, the multiculturalism and rawness, great. The graf culture... great. Warehouse parties.
2 people obviously missed the like button... (sorry had to do it just once in my life)

I'd never heard anything like it before in my life. Jungle forever.
great tune from back in the day ... i mix new hardcore, freeform, gabba, old skool and sumtimes dnb but still manage to squeeze this in any set its just an awesome tune =]
@MrDrunknbass Do you realize how fucking dumb you made yourself sound with that comment. 1. Not DNB, Jungle. 2. DNB certainly fucking does have bass in it. Wow some people are so fucking arrogant and stubborn I can't fucking believe it.
@Sensualsenior If you define drum and bass as any music with drums and bass then just about every genre that exists would fall into that category. Drum and Bass and Jungle are two clearly defined styles, while similar in many ways, to call either one both Drum and Bass and Jungle at the same time would be incorrect.
@dalek838 Jungle come from it's own form in the early 90's and did NOT form from Techno, it formed from Hardcore because people wanted somthing diffrent. Sorry to say but alot of people think Techno has a part of Hardcore And Jungle ( D&B ) but it wasn't. Hardcore was the music of the 90's after Acid House, then formed the Jungle vibe back in 1992-1993. Techno started before but so did Pink Floyd by using synthesizers and keyboard programing that gives you the music of today ;) JUNGLE RULZ
Listen.... Jungle this is and always will be as you can tell by the sound of the bass and riffs. Drum and Bass come after Jungle... God knows why they changed the name but all I know is that they should of changed the styling name of music like Ragga or Dark Jungle
Jungle...breakbeat..drum n bass...hardcore...rave....Whats the difference....It's all music. What is it in the UK that drives so many people to have to categorize, it makes fuck all difference. The whole reasoning behind electronic music is that its about the music, in all forms, not the person behind it and definitley not the punter who buys it and wants to look clever dropping names and such.
i was born in 94 so i just missed the jungle scene but i wish more youths listened to it cos im the onli 1 i know that does but thats cos me dads a dj and most of ma vinyls are jungle and dnb, damn i miss jungle
@1AOONE1 im born 93 and my cus in 97 we like jungle and all other proper music basically we listen to tunes from the 2oth century cause the 21st century is shit were u from
@bad901 me, im from huddersfield but 21st century music aint shit cos im a dubstep head but there are old kinds of music i wish were more popular nowadays such as jungle and old school hip hop(cos lets face it nu skool hip hop is dead)
aryt let me brake it down to u lot the drums in this are typical for a junglist song but the bass is the sort of bass u would hear in a DnB tune tbh renegade is my uncle to so i shud knw this

To those complaining about the speed, it's due to a variety of jungle album and compilations changing up the tune to speed it/pitch it up.
I don't know what album this one came from though.

Picture the scene... you walk into the tent of thousands of sweaty rushin bodies, the vibe rippling through the floor ceilings and walls.
You manage to fight your way to near the front via a labyrinth of grinning dancers.
Then it starts... Dj Hype starts his set introduced by MC GQ... All you can hear are horns and whistles until the bass of TERRORIST starts.
The scratching starts... the rush starts... The glow sticks glow stronger...
For those who know what im talking about.. RESPECT 2 U

Made on Akai-Atari, floppy disks, vinyl cuts, DAT or cassette masters, cheap 8 track mixer at best, often just some cheapo DJ mixer.
Mind you, listen to high-end productions like Adam F or Roni Size, and the sound quality is way above today's 2step overloaded BS.
