This is one of those songs you can just fall apart to </3. That's what I love about it. When you have a lot going on in your life, no matter what it is, you can fall to a million pieces and realize that if you keep holding on (or sometimes let go) everything will eventually be okay

While I keep rambling on about the things I will miss the sight of, she grabs my hand & pulls me out of the circle of horrified students & teachers. I hear my friends running towards me, I can tell they are wondering what the hell is going on, then they see my eyes & notice the way Ash drags me down the hall. They react as Ashley did. Ash gets her phone & calls my mom! Mom rushed to the school. We were all in the office. She was sobbing. Every word was breathless, out of range..

I very quietly say three little words, " I am blind. " My cousin Ashley waves her hand in my face & starts to cry. I try to tell her not to cry but she covers my mouth & says I’m sorry. Well sometimes I don't wake up & its goes on to where Ash starts screaming for a teacher & I can feel a circle of people start to form around me. Ash point out in a very stricken voice that my eyes are a clear, cloudy color. She tells me that she is going to help me learn how to play my piano again. I say "That kinda sucks because I won't be able to see the ivory keys, my beautiful dogs face, my mother’s smile, the screen of my computer, a day-time moon, I’ll have to learn Braille…”
